Omniroma-INDIA, AZIENDA ROMANA CONSEGNA TALPA PER SCAVI HIMALAYA
(OMNIROMA) Aprilia (Lt), 13 mag - E' tutta italiana e più precisamente romana, la realizzazione e
la progettazione della talpa Tbm che scaverà una galleria, parte di uno dei principali progetti
idroelettrici dell'India. La Tbm ha un diametro di 6,18 metri, pesa 400 tonnellate, ha una lunghezza
di 12 metri, tutta dipinta d'oro in omaggio ai committenti indiani, e' stata presentata oggi presso la
sede dell'azienda madre, la Seli, ad Aprilia. Questa macchina dovrà tentare di scavare al di sotto
dell'Himalaya, sfidando un'altitudine di 2430metri ed una copertura rocciosa compresa tra i 750 e
i 1000 metri. "Se l'impresa andasse a buon fine costituirebbe un primato", spiega il presidente della
Seli Remo Grandori. Oggi, in occasione del completamento della talpa, una delegazione di
dirigenti di Hcc, importante contractor indiano, ha visitato gli stabilimenti, per osservare da vicino
il funzionamento di Tbm. Il macchinario partirà alla volta dell'India e grazie al lavoro di una
squadra di un centinaio di addetti alle varie fasi di trasporto, avviamento e completamento della
galleria idroelettrica. "La quotazione in borsa rimane un progetto nell'agenda di Seli", afferma
Grandori. "In quattro anni - prosegue – dovremmo riuscire a completare il lavoro in India".

Seli interested in advisory proposals for M&A and IPO; acquisitions sought, chairman says
Seli, the privately-held Italian industrial company, is interested in growing through M&A,
chairman and second generation owner Remo Grandori said, adding that he would consider
financial advisory proposals. Rome - based Ughi e Nunziante provides legal assistance to the
company.
Seli was reported to be considering the launch of an IPO on MIlan's Star segment. The chairman
explained that in 2009 he hired Eidos Partners for a listing, but he deferred the process due to the
negative economic climate.
Grandori said that the IPO is still on Seli's agenda, Eidos could advise again on the matter, but he
is interested in hearing further proposals.
Previous reports added that 34% of Seli is owned by the Centroimpresa fund, which acquired this
stake with a low leverage component, said the chairman, adding that the listing is meant to offer an
exit to the financial investor. Seli plans to list a 35% stake, but it would go ahead only if the stock
market would agree on an enterprise value of EUR 100m - 150m and a consequent raising of EUR
35m in IPO.
An alternative could be the sale of a minority holding to an industrial player or to a private equity
firm. However the entry of a new financial investor would be the second best option as it would be
again a bridge solution towards a listing, while the sale of a stake to an industrial partner would be
a more stable option, said Grandori.
Seli has debts of EUR 100m, which include the liabilities necessary to finance the working capital.
Grandori said that he could increase such a figure to EUR 120m.
Seli produces machines for building tunnels and it operates as general contractor for hydroelectric
projects. The company is currently looking for producers of conveyer belts, as such an asset would
complete the offer of Seli. Further to that the company is also interested in general contractors and
manufacturers of mechanical components for the production of tunneling machines. Targets should
be based in India and bordering countries and in general in the AustralAsia area. Grandori added

tendering the privatization of industrial companies based in Laos and Vietnam due to the high value
of human capital of these state - owned corporations.
Targets should be start ups to which Seli would pay the goodwill or companies worth an enterprise
value of up to EUR 10m. The company would finance eventual transactions with its own resources.
This year Seli foresees revenues of EUR 180m wth a 20% EBITDA margin.
