equipped with a wheelchair ramp

• Horticulture
• Talent shows
• ...and much more!
Camp
A Camp For Children
with Special Needs
Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, the Moriches
Rotary Health Camp, has been changing the dreams of children with special
needs into reality.
Established in 1946, the camp has
invited thousands of youngsters to
enjoy a session of summer fun at its
37-acre site on the shores of Kaler’s
Pond in Center Moriches, Long Island.
At Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, the campers
enjoy boating, fishing, petting zoo,
campfires and more. In a supportive,
enriching environment, they are
encouraged to reach beyond the limits
of their disabilities and join fellow
campers in activities designed to
enhance their lives. At Camp Pa-QuaTuck, “Summer is for everyone.”

The camp’s counselors are selected for their ability to establish a trusting and caring
relationship with the campers. These young men and women, from the U.S. and abroad,
live with the campers, providing a foundation of support and encouragement. When
needed, counselors may be assigned to work “one-on-one” with the campers.
The counselors are assisted by volunteers from the community who devote their time and
energy to the needs of the campers. These selfless people help to enhance and enrich the
lives of the youngsters at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. If you’re interested in being part of the camp’s
volunteer staff, give us a call!
Our Funding
FPO
Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is a private, nonprofit organization which receives no government aid.
No child is turned away because of an inability to pay.
We depend on the generosity of organizations and individuals to support the programs of
the camp. Of course, all contributions are tax deductible. Most importantly, any donation,
large or small, will help the camp continue to offer children a summer they will never
forget.
Our Year-Round Weekend Respite Program
We offer weekend respite programs throughout the year when summer camp is not in
session. For one weekend a month in the fall, winter and spring, campers can enjoy the
camp and reunite with their summer friends. Please call (631) 878-1070 or visit
www.camppaquatuck.org for additional information.
