The existing 18 units is carefully constructed around the rice fields that provide
such an epic backdrop have been augmented with 15 new units extension built
on the opposite bank of an idyllic river. The extension brings more of the rustically
designed and natural-feeling room, featuring sunken baths, to a delectable
choice of villas with private pools.
THE ARCHITECT
I Ketut Siandana is a Balinese Architect and Wapa di
Ume Resort is his creation. To people who know him,
he is a visionary-the new generation of Balinese, the
hope for future, if Bali is to retain its special magic, a
traditionalist whose vision is to present the Bali
experience in a unique way.
He believes, Wapa di Ume gives visitors a chance to experience this and the
many guests who have stayed there agree with him. You are in rice fields, you are
part of the culture, you have been transported to another place another time-the
Bali you came for.
THE BOUTIQUE SHOP
A wide variety of hand crafts, paintings, garments,
silversmith, and wood carvings made by the talented
artist from Ubud Village is available at the Wapa Gallery.
Should you be interested in any particular piece found
in your villa or in the hotel, they are also available.

The menu offers you a combination of wonderful
Balinese specialties, and more familiar western dishes.
Enjoy your afternoon tea at the upper level of the
restaurant with the floor sitting of “lesehan”
These facility additions extend to the provision of a new
restaurant, offering the same fascinating mix of Western
and Balinese dishes as its original counterpart. This
fusion of east meets west even extends to the dining
arena, with traditional Balinese Lesehan floor seating or
standard table and chairs.

The two levels restaurant is in the main building at the
entrance to the resort. It has 70 seats and gives you
commanding view over the countryside, and a
unequalled vantage point to watch the brilliant color
of the setting sun.
The signature dish is a Bebek Goreng Di Ume – Balinese Deep-fried crispy duck,
served with mix vegetables, ‟lawar‟rice and authentic Balinese sambals.
Alternatively there‟s a classic steak menu and a variety of western dishes with a
unique twist. A variety of tempting Balinese style desserts complete the menu,
while everything is served with a view that completes a delectable dining
experience
OPEN STAGE / AMPHITHEATER for SPECIAL CULTURE DINNER
Dinning with performance is not common in Bali,
it is only for special occasion when the king used
to host their guest at religious event. A
memorable dinner under million stars overlooking
to the rice field is the greatest venue for having
dinner at Wapa di Ume outdoor open stage
amphitheatre.

special night. Start from 19:00, we welcome you by the welcome cocktail and
then start with the welcome dance.

Balinese cooking with a cooking experience.
Our Balinese chef will guide you to prepare for
the cooking, starting at 07.00am in the morning
you will be taken by our staff to buy the cooking
ingredients at Ubud‟s traditional market. It is also
an opportunity to see the Balinese way of life in
getting their daily need at the market and to
watch how they do bargaining.
The cooking starts at 11.00am and is held in a
traditional Balinese kitchen compound amid the
organic gardens and rice fields.
If you love to cook specific food of vegetarian, there is an organic garden
cultivated to support the cooking class where you can get any kind of spices or
vegetables such as, salad, vegetables and tomatoes, Lettuces, potatoes, etc.
The best part is the time when you taste your cooking as Lunch on the wooden
deck near the cooking venue by beautiful rice field view. It will enhance your
pride to be able to cook Balinese traditional food when you go back to your own
country.

INFINITY POOL AND WAPA LOUNGE
Wapa di Ume‟s new infinity pool is the perfect
place to pass the time of day. The pool leaves
you floating in more ways than one as it appears
to be suspended in air above the valley below.
The pool is overlooking the tropical coconut and
palm trees. Decadent sun beds sit enticingly
alongside, while the new lounge area can be
reached in just a couple of steps enabling you to
indulge in the wonderful menu utilizing the very

Wapa di Ume is derived from two basic words Wapa
and di Ume; Wapa is abbreviation of the pioneer‟s
name Wayan Pasek and di Ume mean at the Rice field.
Therefore rice field is icon of our resort. We offer you an
exercise in order to feel the nature of rice, knowing how
the rice field cultivated and relation with other Balinese
activities and culture. Our front office staff will guide you
on this trekking. He will explain you the basic
information regarding the activities although he is not as professional guide yet,
you will maintain your healthy, walking cross the village then to the rice field at
about 1,5 to 2 hours in early morning to heal the fresh air. It is a real natural and

BALINESE PALM LEAF CREATION
Get creative on Mondays and Thursdays, learn the art of
coconut leaf creations-a part of the tradition of the
Balinese ceremony, the offerings to the God. Take home

THE YOGA CENTER
There is a spacious yoga room overlooking to
lush green palm trees and panoramic rice
terraced. Throughout the ancient art of classical
yoga, you will learn technique to still your mind,
strengthen your body and expand your
consciousness using posture, breath work,
meditation and relaxation.
The class is conducted by Ibu Iluh the Balinese experienced yoga instructor from
the religious village of Mas. She has been teaching yoga to many foreigners also
practicing yoga for years and feels the great benefits of yoga for body and soul.
The class is suitable for beginner to advanced practitioners.

three individualistic and distinctive dwelling units,
scattered down the gentle hillside flanked by rice

grass roofing or qualified roof siraft, natural

Your room has been created to combine traditional Balinese esthetics with
modern style and comfort. The materials are local stones, folk-weave fabrics,
cane bamboo and weathered wood. Feel the tropical rice field breeze blow your
