“Il Vecchio Fienile” Country House is situated high
on one of the lovely hills surrounding the village of
Ponte Felcino. Its position, 285 mt above sea level,
dominates this lovely Umbrian valley and on a clear
Summer evening the lights of the enchanting town
of Assisi can be seen flickering in the distance.
Set among olive groves, woods, cultivated fields of
sunflowers, wheat or corn, and a plantation of cherry and walnut trees, Il Vecchio Fienile is the perfect
place to spend a holiday in total tranquillity surrounded by the beautiful countryside so typical of
Umbria. Take long walks along the country paths,
go bird watching in the quiet woods or just relax by
the pool while admiring the breathtaking view from
this magical position.
BY CAR: From North: From A1 Highway Florence-Rome,
exit Valdichiana and follow directions to Perugia. Continue
in direction of Cesena, exit at Ponte Felcino; or take the
E45 Ravenna - Rome, exit at Ponte Felcino. Exit at Ponte
Felcino and follow signs to Il Vecchio Fienile.
From South: From A1 Highway Florence-Rome, exit Orte,
E45 in direction of Cesena. Exit at Ponte Felcino and continue towards village centre. Then follow signs to “Il Vecchio
Fienile” Country House.

an entrance area, living room with sofa/bed and a separate kitchenette. The spacious bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, has a lovely little terrace that overlooks an olive
grove. Sleeps up to 4.

This lovely 3 room apartment of about 55 sqm. is located on
the ground floor. The living room with sofa/bed is spacious
and tastefully furnished and the sunny seperate kitchen with
breakfast table looks out onto the garden and the valleys below. The large double bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and the
bathroom with shower is big and nicely fitted. Sleeps up to 4.

This spacious 1 room apartment of about 37 sqm. with kitchen
corner is tastefully furnished and looks out onto the lovely
garden and swimming pool area. The bathroom with shower
is nicely fitted. Sleeps 2 with sofa/bed but can sleep up to 4.

is located at the highest point of the country house. The
entrance area, cosy living room with sofa/bed, seperate
kitchenette and the sunny and spacious bedroom with its
wooden beamed ceilings and sunny en-suite bathroom
makes this apartment truly a delight. Sleeps up to 4.
This truly delightful apartment of about 75 sqm. is situated on the first floor. The comfortable living area with
sofa/bed and corner kitchenette, the 2 spacious and sunny double bedrooms with their wooden beamed ceilings
and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside
are all tastefully furnished. The 2 en-suite bathrooms
with bathtub are large and nicely fitted. Sleeps up to 7.
Only 8 km from the centre of the Etruscan city of Perugia which is renowned for its historical importance and
beauty. Other delightful Umbrian cities such as Orvieto, Todi, Gubbio, Assisi and Spello are also close enough
to be able to spend a memorable day admiring their
beauty and discovering why they are so unique.
Lake Trasimeno, with its two islands; Isola Polvese and
Isola Maggiore are also worth visiting and as the Aeroport of Sant’Egidio (20min by car) connects this area of
Umbria, better known as “The Green Heart of Italy”, to
other parts of Italy and Europe this makes “Il Vecchio
Fienile” Country House the perfect place to stay and to
explore this truly lovely region of Italy.
A short distance away you can find “Golf Club Antognolla” and “Golf Club Perugia” where you can enjoy
a game of golf or spend a day horseriding at one of the
nearby stables.
