Principles of Growth
80% rule – when a church meets and exceeds
80% occupancy in its facilities, if not quickly
corrected, it will experience limitations to
future growth.
 Worship – seating capacity 250-300 [>300]
Education – need 3-4 new classes, 1 open room
Parking – have 141 & 10 handicap, need 300

 We want every part of our facilities accessible
to everyone including those with mobility
problems.
 Old building: Top floor & basement inaccessible
to anyone who can not climb stairs
 Limited handicap parking and difficult
accessibility to parts of building
 Some sidewalk other structures are not at
recommended grades for wheel chairs
Safety
 Need to bring existing structures up to code
for fire, safety, and security.
 Fire alarm system only in newest part of building
[none in old building, middle, Delashaw]
 Are up to code on fire extinguisher placements
Security system in Delashaw house, some what in
new building no where else
Space trade off
 Basement presently is badly in need of
renovation before it is unusable.
