Rental Specifics
CAPACITY:
Facility capacity is based on the custom layout for the room, which should be discussed at the time of contract
signing. Each event’s capacity is determined not solely by the maximum capacity of the building (600), but also
by the amount and type of seating, the event’s décor, entertainment and activities, and the space required for
food and beverage service. The Facility Coordinator reserves the right to determine the maximum capacity for
the event based upon these factors.
Private vs. Public Events: Clients must acknowledge that only private events are allowed at
CenterStage@NoDa facility. Clients will not be allowed to sell tickets at the door in any capacity; all
guests of said event must be either invited, have purchased tickets ahead of time, or have RSVP the
event no later than 3 business days before the event.
SECURITY:
Each officer is required to be hired through CenterStage@NoDa from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police
Department. One (1) guard is required per 150 guests and must be present from 30 minutes prior to the event
to 30 minutes after the event with a three (3) hour minimum. Cost of security is included in the rental rate.
BUSINESS SERVICES:
Dedicated telephone port, internet, T1 capabilities are available. Charges will be based on total usage.
PARKING:
Valet parking and self-parking are offered. The amount and type of service will be negotiated based on the time
of day and size of event. Parking traffic controllers are required for all non-valet events and are provided by
CenterStage@NoDa for an additional fee if you are using self-parking. Two attendants will be required for a
minimum of three (3) hours for any events with over 200 attendees. Costs for non-valet parking attendants are
included in the rental rate.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:
All beer, wine, and liquor can be provided and served by one of our preferred caterers. Alcohol may be provided
by client with accompanying alcohol permit. Additional information can be provided on alcohol permits/
requirements. The Facility does not allow the selling of alcohol through cash bar or any other means in any other
way related to the event. AIC Insurance and Certificate are required.
EVENTS / DÉCOR / AV:
All décor must be pre-approved by the facility manager 30 days prior your event. These include but are not
limited to décor plans, all hanging points and/or open flames, power requirements and building usage.
DEPOSITS:
50% of initial facility contract and the refundable damage deposit are due at the time of booking.
Standard security deposit is $500 for groups of less than 300 and $750 for groups of more than 301;
Facility has the right to require a larger deposit on a case by case basis.
TENTATIVE HOLD:
CenterStage@NoDa does not allow tentative holds unless there has been a request for a contract. Upon
receiving the contract, the client has five (5) business days during which they have the first right of refusal if
another client were to also request that date. If during the time a client has a tentative hold or pending contract
and the venue receives contract request for the same date, client will have five (5) business days during which
they will have the right of first refusal to execute their agreement. If they are not prepared to execute, client
relinquishes that date so the facility can contract for that date.
Food and Beverage
CenterStage@NoDa does not have an in-house catering company. We do offer a preferred
caterers list that is available to future clients. Our preferred caterer are familiar with our venue and
assist in making sure the facility is treated with care and kept in its immaculate condition. Each caterer offers their own flare and style that is sure to bring animation to your event.
PREFERRED CATERERS
Our preferred caterers list is available upon request. The benefit of
working with our preferred caterers is that not only are they familiar
with CenterStage@NoDa, but they are also aware of all necessary
and needed paperwork.
OUTSOURCED CATERERS
If you are interested in bringing a caterer to our
venue that is not on our preferred list, there is a buyout fee of $500 that must be paid by the caterer.
When interested in a buy out we will require several
forms from your appointed caterer. There are several rules and regulations that will need to be discussed with the caterer so they are aware of how we run our facility. We
do not allow any cooking in the building, as it is against our fire code due
to our ventilation system.

FROM 77 NORTH
Take the John Belk Freeway exit 9B.
Follow I-277 east to the Davidson/ Caldwell St. exit 3B.
Merge right and turn right on N. Caldwell, not Davidson. (There is a train that will block Davidson
from time to time) This will help you avoid that issue.
Stay on Caldwell until you get to the intersection of Parkwood & Davidson. (Caldwell turns into Parkwood Ave.) Turn left on Davidson and proceed to 26th Street. Take a left at 26th Street and the entrance to CenterStage@NoDa will be on the right. Parking is in the rear of the building.
FROM 77 SOUTH
Get off at Brookshire Freeway I-277 exit #11.
Bear left on the ramp.
Make a right at the Brevard, Davidson, McDowell St. exit and merge right on to 11th street.
At the intersection of N. Caldwell and 11th St. turn left onto N. Caldwell.
Caldwell is very curvy, and will become Parkwood Ave. At the intersection of Parkwood Ave. and
Davidson, (you’ll see a large yellow sculpture). Turn left on Davidson and proceed to 26th Street. Take
a left at 26th Street and the entrance to CenterStage@NoDa will be on the right. Parking is in the rear
of the building.
FROM EAST CHARLOTTE
Take Randolph Road west into the city
Randolph Rd. will become 4th St. at Hawthorne Lane.
Before you reach the intersection for I-277 and 4th street make a right onto the ramp to I-277.
Follow I-277 east to the Davidson/ Caldwell St. exit 3B.
