Decals for
Member Vehicles
The Admin Office has started issuing
vehicle stickers for the new gate system.
Administration hours for vehicle decals
are Tuesday through Friday from:
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
For our members that work, we will be
open on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from
8:00 a.m. until Noon.
Please bring your vehicle, registration and
insurance to the clubhouse.
Note that employee from Admin Office
will need to affix sticker to your vehicle.
Motorcycle Owners in DCBE
Our new gate system is not recognizing
motorcycles because the motorcycles are not
large enough. The arm may raise, but for
safety reasons we are asking our motorcyclists
to GO AROUND the new gate and NOT
THROUGH it. This procedure applies to
both entering and exiting our gates.
Please bear with us as we work through the
kinks in the new gate system and we thank
you for your patience.
Paper Shredding Event
Saturday, April 27
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
The shredder truck will be at the Pavilion
on the above date to shred documents that
need destroying for members. There is “NO
Charge” to members.

Greetings from the Kitchen!! Can you believe spring is just
around the corner? Not that we really had to experience a true
winter storm. Easter is also at the end of this month this year,
so be sure to join us for our Easter buffet and of course our
annual Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. St. Patty’s day dining
specials will be on the 15th-16th of this month as well. Be sure
to join us and come get your Irish on!
The new menu is in full swing and I have to say the
membership has spoken, it is a big success. In addition to the
new menu, the new Family grill is now open for business, so
bring the kids up for a birthday party or a quick bite.
Once again I want to personally thank all of you who support
your club; we couldn’t make this operation run without you!
God Bless!

March 28 - (18 Hole) Guest Day
March 28 - (9 Hole) Low Gross / Low Net (Possible Durant Classic Course due to 18 hole Guest Day)
We have had fantastic participation this year so far! With the weather cooperating and our course in great shape it
always makes for an enjoyable round with good company. I just want to give a special shout out to those of you who
have participated whether it be on the course or in meetings. This is a great organization to be a part of and what a
wonderful way to fellowship with women who share the love of golf too!
The birdie tree located in the locker room has been getting full already this year! So far you will see the following
ladies hanging on their respective holes in the tree: Debbie Taylor, Mackye Walker, Barbara Lackey, Connie
Chamberlain and Casey Weaver! Way to go ladies great job!
The 9 Hole players have had a great start with lengthing their “Par” list! So far this year are the following ladies and
the hole in which they had a fantastic Par: Susan Kay (10), Kay Bailey (12) (13) (14), Carol McKernan (13)!!! Awesome
Job Ladies!!! There are also a few highlights that can’t go unrecognized for this group! Pam Schueler had a 58 yard chip
in for Par on hole #12. That is absolutely fantastic and not to boot Gayle Gagnon hit it over the WATER on #15 of all
tricky holes! Woohoo ladies!
“Every time a golfer makes a birdie, she must subsequently make two double bogeys to restore the fundamental
equilibrium of the universe.” Unknown

Hello folks!! Spring is upon us. (Thank you Mr. Groundhog!! Lol)
What this means is that we get to work on our golf etiquette and
basic rule we all need to abide by.
1) Let faster groups play through when they are waiting.
2) Use the cart paths around the greens!!!! The rule is
30 yards from the green. You are in violation if you are
on the other side from the cart path and besides this is
needless. Our cart paths are plenty close to each and
every green.
3) Use the 90 degree rule off all cart paths!!!! See how
many cart tracks you see where the cart path bends off
of the tee box where people have driven straight off of
them. Go down and across to your golf ball.
4) Do not drive on the Durant 9 par 3 course!! CART PATH
ONLY!
5) And last but not least sand all divots. If you need sand
bottles let us know. If we don’t have them we can get
them for you. Repair all ball marks on greens. Our
greens are small – repair yours and one other!
6) Thank you for reading these few simple requests.
We have a change to the tournament schedule. We had a
tournament scheduled for March 23 – 24 but we have many
conflicts in the area. We have moved this event to April 5 – 6. The
annual Shreveport trip is scheduled for April 22-23-24 when we
aerify the greens.

Robot-assisted surgery significantly improves a surgeon’s ability
to see and work in confined spaces without disturbing tissue
and muscle as typically occurs with traditional open surgery and
laparoscopic procedures. LGMC patients requiring hysterectomy,
complex general surgery, transoral incisionless fundoplication
(TIF), and Lap-Band surgery have all benefited from having this
advanced technology, closer to home.
The da Vinci robot enables surgeons to perform delicate
procedures through very small incisions with the aid of a tiny
high-definition camera. Potential benefits of robotic-assisted
surgery may include:
• less pain
• minimal scarring
• quicker return to daily living
• shorter hospital stay
At press time, LGMC’s da Vinci team is nearing another remarkable
milestone – the 200th robot-assisted surgery in the first year of
implementation.

She didn’t enjoy cooking for just one and sometimes skipped

Then we found Courtyards at Lake Granbury. Everything Mom

Website 2013
Enhancement
Information
Below are some of the new website’s features.
Although the look is new, the organization
remains almost untouched.
User ID of your choice - Unfortunately you will have to register again but you will be able to use your member number as you do now or
one of your choice.
Favorite webpage – You will be able to save it as a favorite as you do with other sites.
Timing Out - Simply click on “keep me logged in” and it will not log you off!
More room for information on each page - The side links are moved to the top so there is more room across the page. As a result
some pages have been combined.
Able to find DCBE with a Web Search -’ ‘Search Engine Optimization’ will make it easy to find DCBE not only for you but for those
planning events such as weddings and for those looking for homes. Realize that it will take a while before the search engines index
DCBE. If you want to help, do searches on places like Google, Bing and Yahoo to help us become visible.
Statements Viewed by all Property Owners - Your 5 digit member number and second member number that ends with ‘a’ will remain
the same, with both being able to have separate login IDs, but both will be able to see the statements and make payments but when
making a payment it must be applied to the primary account. From the time your new account is established it will take 2-3 days before
the last 12 months of statements are available for viewing.
Dining & Calendar – Information is open to the public, which means that you can view them without logging in. Note that only Clubhouse
Events will be listed on the Dining page, but all events will be on the Calendar.
Real Estate Marketing – a separate page will be available for realtors as well as members to market their properties. Newsletter Property
Ads will for now be on a separate public page.
Proofed Pages - Have you seen web pages that are not complete? That was because as the pages were being worked on, saved, proofed,
edited, they were open for viewing! Now editing and proofing can be done before publishing. That does not guarantee no mistakes!
Different Photos on each Page - Photos can be changed on most pages.
Roster Enhancements
Use ‘Edit My Personal Info” to change data such as your telephone number.
Choose to hide information by simply checking ‘hide’ beside the information you do not want made public.
When the primary owner is displayed, their spouse and other relatives will also be listed, unless you opted to hide them.
Birth Month and Day is defaulted to display but not the Year, but this can also be hidden.
If the club has photo of you on record, it is displayed, but you can hide it or upload your own photo.
Members searches though have a drawback – you much enter EITHER a LAST or FIRST name, not both.
The advantage is that if you know the first name but not the last, you can try to find them that way.
