SolarClimatic Series Solar Simulation Chambers Sun and Climate in a Single Unit SC340/600/1000 340, 600 and 1000 Liter Versions Profile. In combination with the irradiation unit (metal halide lamp and outdoor filter), all three models provide a full-function climate chamber. With a capacity of 340, 600 or 1,000 liters, the useable volume of the test chamber has been specifically designed for the examination of material samples and component sections or smaller components. The test chamber can be easily opened with one hand. The height of the sample carrier can also be varied to ensure optimal irradiation of the various samples. Swiveling operator panel SolarClimatic Series - Simulation of Indoor and Outdoor Test Parameters SCSERIES Performance Quality needs. Many valuable products are able to secure a long-term utility value due to the high quality level of materials used in their manufacture. It is for this reason that, with regard to polymer components in particular, such strict test criteria are stipulated for material safety, lightfastness and colorfastness. Design. The SolarClimatic Series instruments are state-of-the-art test units for simulating indoor and outdoor conditions. Influencing parameters such as global irradiation, temperature, and humidity can be individually programmed in user configurable programs. The test chamber design of the units offers an economic alternative to large solar simulation equipment. Spacious test chambers allow standardized testing of components with large surface areas such as airbag units, or even tests with complex structural combinations such as dashboards with windshields. Ergonomics. Ease of use is a high priority. The communications and control units are easily accessible and transparent in every control and operational phase. Depending on the SC model selected, the operator panel accessible from the front is either swivel-mounted or integrated in the control module on the side. Test parameters are entered and modified via an easy-to-use touch screen. A well thought out and self-explanatory user guide offers the highest level of operator comfort. Simulation of indoor and outdoor conditions 'Metal Halide' lamp with outdoor filter Test cycles, e.g., in accordance with DIN 75220 SolarClimatic Series - Simulation of Indoor and Outdoor Test Parameters Generous test chamber for large volume components or finished products Two high-performance 'Metal Halide Global' lamps provide irradiation of large surfaces SC2000 SC2000 3400 Liter Version Profile. Four 'Metal Halide' (SC2000 MH) or two 'Metal Halide Global' lamps (SC2000 MHG) provide a high radiation output and radiation distribution throughout the spacious climate test chamber. Outdoor filters complete the irradiation unit. With its spacious useable chamber volume of 3,400 liters, this model is suitable for testing medium-sized components or for testing even large-volume finished products or entire component series. Applications – Practical Expansions LIGHT QUALITY Differentiation. SC models are equipped with either MH (Metal Halide) or MHG (Metal Halide Global) lamps. Since both optical systems are very similar, both yield equally good results with respect to irradiance and its spatial distribution. However, the MHG lamp is recommended for tests requiring an irradiance of > 1,000 W/m². One important difference lies in the spectral distribution of the radiation that, at certain wavelengths, does not exhibit the energy peaks in the MHG spectrum that are found in the MH spectrum. These peaks can produce widely differing results in samples with a corresponding sensitivity. Another advantage of the MHG lamp lies in the ability to vary output across a specific range as well in the electronic power regulation that can, for example, compensate for mains fluctuations. All SC units are suitable for laboratory testing using simulated sunlight. The MHG models, with their powerful MHG lamps and specific spectral adjustment, are the best solution for the application area of aging tests (e.g., DIN 75220, IEC 60068-2-5, or MIL STD 810F). OPTIONS A wide range of tailor-made accessories is available to further increase the comfort and functionality of the test units: • IDF filter for indoor tests. • Insulated cover: Expands the temperature range to -40 °C to +120 °C. • Misting equipment: Expands the test possibilities in the area of climate. • UV sensors: 280 nm to 320 nm and 320 nm to 400 nm. • Regulation of the black standard temperature: Improves reproducibility while simultaneously ensuring the consistency of the test conditions. • Black standard temperature sensor. • SolarTest sensor: 300 nm to 3,000 nm. • RS 422/485 interface. • Printer. • SIMPATI software.
