The village of Portreath has a real
community feel. There are a couple of pubs
and village shops, while just under 5 miles
away is Redruth with a good selection
of local shops, or in Camborne, a few miles
further down the A30, a large superstore
and shopping centre.
The main A30 is ten minutes away
offering an easy drive to Truro (13 miles),
Falmouth (13.9 miles) and Penzance
(17.6 miles). The nearest railway station
at Camborne (4 miles) offers services
to Exeter in just over 2 hours. The nearest
airport, in Newquay, is 29 miles away.
The M5 motorway (J31) is approximately
90 miles, and a few miles further,
Exeter International airport.
18 hole golf course with its panoramic views,
and there are horse riding centres and
watersports galore. The Carn Brea Leisure
Centre has an indoor swimming pool,
gym and fitness suites.
