Revisions since 1980 have incorporated extensive detailed work in the southern region of the
Reindeer Zone by the Saskatchewan Geological Survey, the Geological Survey of Canada, and
university and industry participants under the Federal-Provincial Mineral Development Agreement
programs, the NATMAP program, and the LITHOPROBE program. There are also major revisions
in the Greater Beaverlodge area, the Tantato Domain, and in other areas of the Precambrian
Shield. New information for the Phanerozoic region is a result of the high level of industry
activity due in part to horizontal drilling and the diamond play. Kimberlite locations are derived
from non-confidential Saskatchewan Industry and Resources Assessment File reports.
