Stone Age Time Periods

Stone Age Time Periods
Your tribe of hunter-gathers has lived in this
place for as long as anyone can remember.
But now there are not enough animals to
hunt. Whenever you find berries and roots,
you have to share them with people from
other tribes. Your leaders think it’s time to
find a new home in the lands far beyond the
mountains. But no one has ever traveled
there, and many people are afraid.
How do you feel about moving to a new
home?

The Stone Age
The Stone Age is divided into three time
periods:
Paleolithic (~2,000,000BCE – ~10,000BCE)
 Mesolithic (~10,000BCE - ~6,000BCE)
 Neolithic (~6,000BCE - ~3,000BCE)

The dates are different in different regions of
the world

Example: Asia might be in the Mesolithic while
North America might still be in the Paleolithic
