Students discuss and tell their grievances/ problems, if any, to the advisors who will in turn either counsel them as how to overcome their difficulties / or, meets the concerned authorities to redress their problems. A suggestion-box has also been affixed near the students area to facilitate the students to express their views about the working of the system and its performance, without fear, and with full freedom. Staff: The Director holds regular meetings with the staff where he aims to know if there is any general difficulty / problem faced by the staff and to redress the same at the appropriate level. The system is otherwise very liberal, and any staff / student who so ever has any difficulty, can freely approach the Administration, and if found genuine, his grievance is immediately got redressed from the management. c 20 20-a 20-b Student feedback mechanism Student feedback mechanism on Institutional Governance/Faculty Performance A regular feedback is taken from all students, while advising them ‘not to disclose their identity’, for a fair assessment of any weak points in the system and weak and strong points of each individual teacher, with the endmission to upgrade and improve the knowledge-transfer process/ methodology of each faculty, as far as possible. Director himself also takes students into his confidence from each and every group class and strata and secures appraisal of the performance of each and every faculty member. Based on this feedback and appraisal, Director counsels each individual faculty member, regarding his/her weak points / short-comings in order to make him/her overcome their short-comings and become more efficient and effective teacher for the subsequent session. Admission As per Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi Admission policy as given below REGISTRATION & ADMISSION STEPS 1. Admission is open from standard Nursery to +2 (age 3 to 18) for both Boys and Girls. 2. Children are to be registered for admission anytime between early December to early April with payment of non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 710/-. 4. After depositing the required amount, Parents may receive the following documents from Admission InCharge: a) Admission Form b) Academy Medical form for the medical record of the student c) Academy Brochure d) List of Required Documents to be submitted for Admission 5. Parents must bring the Admission Form (duly filled). 6. Parents of the children selected for Admission will be required to deposit the fee and funds within TWO DAYS. The Photostat copy of the card issued by the family doctor or hospital may be submitted with the 11. Admission Form. Aadhaar Card Note: These Certificates/Documents are to be handed over to the Admission In-charge after the Admission has been confirmed. PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Fee & Funds are to be deposited within TWO DAYS (working) of Admission Date. 2. If a student discontinues after due admission and deposit of fee and funds, the fee & funds in such a case is forfeited (there is no provision of refund or adjustment). 3. For Day-Boarders, there are Four installments in a year while the Boarders are supposed to make 100% payment during the Admission. 4. For Boarders, If in a particular case Principal/Director allows the payment of fee & funds in two installments then the first installment of 60% of the total amount is to be deposited before 31st August of the same year. For the payment of second installment no reminder is sent by the Academy rather parents have to deposit the fee on the prescribed date and time. Non-depositing of second installment in time causes a fine of Rs. 100/- per day which is upto seven days only afterwards the name is struck off from the Rolls of the Academy. 5. The fee is to be deposited by Cash or Demand Draft, (if by Demand Draft then it should be in the name of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, payable at Roopnagar). 6. There will be approx.10% per annum increase in the Fee. Provisional Admission Admission to +1 is subject to passing the entrance test and is carried on Provisional basis. The student after qualifying the test and the interview deposit 60% of the prevailing fee and funds of the session, both in case of day-scholars and boarders. (The parents are at liberty to deposit full fee and funds in one time (instead of 60%) but in case of failure of their ward in Tenth class would be getting refund from the 60% of the total amount). If a student fails in his/her respective 10th class board examination then the admission to +1 is discontinued and in such case he/she is refunded the fee and funds deposited with the Academy after deducting the genuine expenditure incurred on the studies, loading and boarding at the Academy. If a student passes his/her 10th class board examination but wishes to discontinue at the Academy, no request for refund of fee and funds is entertained. Thirteen Senior Girls and Ten Boys contested for the crown. Addition to judgment of their Academic performance, the Senior Teachers also presented their judgments in regard to their Leadership Qualities, Participation in Co-Curricular and Sports Activities, Self Discipline & Co-operation, Talent on the spot, question round and speech. There was stiff competition among the contestants. Miss. Harshdeep Kaur could turn up with the crown of Head girl and Mr. Veer Davinder Singh as the Head Boy. Miss Gulmuskaan Kaur and Mr. Dilpreet Singh turned up to be Vice-Head Girl and Vice-Head Boy respectively. FOUNDER’S DAY & BIRTH DAY OF SAHIBZADA AJIT SINGH JI The Management, Faculty & Students of SASA celebrated their Founder’s Day, May 03 of year 2014 with the same zeal and enthusiasm as it has always been. The celebrations involved a three day Akhand Path (from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji) in the campus which concluded on May 03 with Bhog. During these three days, the students participated in various competitions held in the campus such as Knot Tying, Turban Tying, Ready to Walk, Drawing, Declamation and Poem Recitation Competitions. Students sang the hymns and got everybody to the height of spirituality. The students and teachers spoke over the pious life of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji. Celebrations concluded with serving of ‘Langar’ to all the students and guests by the senior students and staff members. TEACHER'S DAY The students of SASA celebrated Teacher's Day on Sept. 05, 2014 while paying homage to Dr. Radhakrishnan, whom we all consider as an ideal Teacher. The senior most students of grade 12, played the roles of different teachers and performed their duties right from the morning assembly until the 8th period. A Tea party was also arranged for all the teacher students, original teachers and the management of SASA. There were committees who judged the performance of all the Student Teachers on the basis of class control, discipline and way of teaching. SASAIANS OUTSHINE IN CRICKET TRIANGULAR SERIES A triangular series was played between the five school cricket teams of Ropar District namely New Model High School, D.A.V. Public School, Rayat International School, Shivalik Public School and Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy. Five matches were played among these teams. After winning four matches out of them SASA became the winner team. Students of SASA has shown remarkable performance in the field of cricket. All the students were awarded with the Medals and trophy. The Management and Faculty of the school applauded the students for them hard work and team spirit. SASA CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy Roopnagar celebrated Children’s day with much pomp and gaiety.The students from different classes shared their views on Children’s Day in the morning assembly. Sports meet was organized for the students of Nursery to Vth Std. In which students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Provision of refreshment by the school management to the children was also another attraction of the day. DIWALI CELEBRATIONS The Diwali celebration of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy were a much awaited one, and it turned out to be a grand one. An inter-house competition was organized by students of the Academy on Diwali 2014, to celebrate the festival of Diwali by organizing competition of Diwali handicrafts, which were prepared by the students themselves. Book stalls and various stalls of eatables were set up in the Academy for the students to enjoy the festival of diwali. The items prepared by students included different types of Candles, Diyas, Rangolis an Poster Making which were very colourful and decorated with Ribbons, Sparkles, Beads, Shells, Stars, Mirrors, Glitters etc. Candles displayed were of varying shapes and sizes ranging from small Diya shaped to floral and some were even decorated with bows and frills made of wax. Every ‘House’ displayed their items in a very innovative way - decorating it with colourful dupattas, and making various designs of Rangoli ranging from geometrical to floral patterns.
