CITCA is proud to announce the opening of its new
regional training facility in sunny Albuquerque,
New Mexico, in partnership with Rio Telecom
Services, Ltd.
CITCA’s training courses are taught by industry
experts, and the programs have been recognized
by OSHA and accepted by all of the major industry
leaders including Bechtel, American Tower, AT&T,
T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Crown Castle, SBA,
Goodman Networks, etc.
We have included this guide in the hopes that your
stay in Albuquerque will be as enjoyable as it is
educational.
Location
Situated in the heart of America’s Southwest,
Albuquerque offers vibrant architecture,
breathtaking views and bold cuisine to both
residents and visitors alike.
Originally founded by the Spanish in 1706,
Albuquerque has since blossomed into a thriving
city on the banks of the Rio Grande. It is now a
major hub of business and culture, with easy access
to amenities, transportation and recreation.
Airports
Albuquerque is serviced by the Albuquerque
International Sunport, which is conveniently located
just three miles south of downtown.
Accommodations
There are many hotels available at a variety of price
points in Albuquerque, including a Holiday Inn,
Days Inn and Best Western. For a more upscale stay,
try booking a room at the Sandia Casino & Resort
or the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town.
Restaurants
Experience authentic Southwestern flavors at
Albuquerque’s Taqueria Mexicano, the Pueblo
Harvest Cafe and Mariscos Altamar, or bite into a
juicy burger at Tim’s Place. If you are in the mood
for some gourmet dining, the Antiquity Restaurant
serves some of the finest food in the city in a
charming, rustic setting.
Things to See
There is no shortage of interesting activities in
Albuquerque. Take a ride on the Sandia Peak
Tramway for dazzling views as you ascend 10,000
feet into the Sandia Mountains. Then stop by one of
the city’s numerous museums, take a walk through
history at Petroglyph National Monument, or spend
an evening at the Sandia Casino. For the younger
crowd, Albuquerque is also home to the ABQ
BioPark Zoo and Aquarium.

What to Bring
In order to complete the practical segment of
classes, please bring the following equipment:
• Head protection with chin strap
• Eye protection
• Class 3 harness with positioning D ring in front
and fall arrest D ring on back at minimum
• Fall arrest lanyards (Y version or two
individual ones)
• Work positioning lanyard
• Safety cable grab
• Hand protection
• Proper foot wear for climbing
• Carry bag

CITCA courses are held in partnership with Rio
Telecom Services at CITCA’s regional training
facility, featuring both indoor and outdoor facilities.
