Corrugated pipes with first-class quality and ring
stiffness and all at a much lighter weight.
The innovative corrugated plastic pipes produced by the new
HD series way ahead as far as high quality, low weight and strong
ring stiffness are concerned. The best example of this is the GIGAPIPE
system developed with the improved corrugated pipe technology
at the DROSSBACH Innovation Center. The on-going development
of innovative technologies guarantees the most cost-efficient,
optimised production processes and easy installation. All sewage,
rainwater and drainage systems produced by DROSSBACH fulfil

in-line belling joint
SAFECONNEC:
Innovative Technology to secure long-term
watertightness.
The secret of the superior long-term watertightness of
GIGAPIPE pipes is the innovative SAFECONNEC technology. It reinforces the plastic pipe joints at their most
important and critical points to ensure their outstanding
long-term resistance and watertightness. Moreover, an
extraordinary strengthening process ensures the
necessary long-term resistance of the joint against
deformation and leaks with an externally welded reinforcement ring.

SAFECONNEC reinforces the critical points on plastic
belling joints to ensure a long-term watertight connection. The SAFECONNEC technology, a reinforcement
process, provides the required permanent seal via a
highly rigid reinforcement band welded to the pipe.

reduces machine downtimes to a minimum.
The DROSSBACH machines have the advantage of
combining speed and output with a flexible tool
compatibility system by using a new mould block
insert technology.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS HD 250:
Production of corrugated plastic pipes with high production
speeds of up to 22 m/min thanks to directly water-cooled
mould blocks and an integrated full vacuum system.
Corrugated pipe machine mounted onto a solid, welded
frame with horizontally rotating mould blocks in an open
construction.
Full vacuum system for perfect profiling and wall-strengthening
of corrugated pipes.
Equipped with 38 directly water-cooled mould block pairs for
the production of pipes of 6 m length incl. in-line joints.
Mould blocks made of aluminium have a low weight and heat
transfer properties, with a cast water-cooling circuit vacuum
technology.
The most modern technology: wear-free movement of mould
blocks in Cassini curves.
Robust system with bearings guarantees perfect movement

thanks to directly water-cooled mould blocks and the full
vacuum system to assist in the cooling process..
Hydraulic operation transports the complete line, which is
fixed on rails, from the back position (heating, mould blocks
exchange) to the production process.
Improved aluminium mould blocks moving on steel supports
following the DROSSBACH shuttle principle.
Parking station with additional in-line belling mould blocks
for the production of pipes of variable lengths > 4 m.
Fast change over of mould and inserts blocks in the
easy-to-access parking station.
