There`s tons of things to do in San Francisco and incredible
There’s tons of things to do in San Francisco and
incredible restaurants to dine at but for those
looking for a quiet escape away from the city, head
north to Sausalito. No car? Don’t worry there’s tons
of other options to get to Sausalito. You can take the
ferry from the The Ferry Building to Sausalito Ferry
Pier, Golden Gate Transit, bicycle, or motorcycle.
We already rented a motorcycle from Dubbelju so
we biked across the Golden Gate Bridge.
It’s hard to not fall in love with Sausalito. This
quiet, charming town (home to only has 7,500
residents) is best known for its spectacular
waterfront views and unique art galleries. Looking
for a weekend getaway? Here’s where to stay,
eat, and do in Sausalito!
Rated #1 in Top 3- Hotels in Nothern California, #9 in Top 25 Hotels in the U.S., and #79 in Top
100 Hotels & Resorts in the World by the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2015, Inn
Above Tide was the primary reason for visiting Sausalito. The boyfriend and I have the tradition
of treating ourselves to different resorts and hotels for special occasions so for his birthday this
year I booked us a stay at the Inn Above Tide.
This is luxury defined. The inn only has 31 rooms and all rooms boast balconies that hang over the
water offering a panoramic view of San Francisco Bay. We took full advantage of the fireplace,
Bulgari toiletries and in-room binoculars. Inn Above Tide didn’t have a spa so I booked a couples
massage through Zeel, a service that offers massages on demand with licensed/certified massage
therapists. I received a massage from Zeel in my hotel room last time when I was in San Francisco
after my half-marathon, which helped soothe my aching legs. This experience was even better
because my massage therapist had a sports therapy background so he even gave me advice on my
aching shoulders and lower back.
After massages, we headed to the lobby for cheese and wine to enjoy in our private balcony while
soaking in the beautiful SF sunset. Breakfast was served in the lobby, but we requested it to be
sent to our room. This was ultimate relaxation.

We were only Sausalito for less than 24 hours and most of the time went to enjoying Inn Above
Tide and Sushi Ran. That only left us with a hour in the morning before heading back to San
Francisco. Inn Above Tide provided us with bikes so we biked along the pier in the morning.
