Welcome to the Second Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Stallion Tour. This event, hosted by the
Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association (MFTHBA) Membership Committee, is designed to provide
Missouri Fox Trotting Horse enthusiasts an opportunity to see some of the most distinguished stallions
in our breed, along with some exciting up and coming stallions. Most importantly, it is designed to help
people connect and enjoy a day completely focused on this amazing breed.
The idea for the Tour began when results for the MFTHBA Membership Committee survey indicated
that MFTHBA members and those involved with the breed wanted to see activities outside the traditional
horse activities. In addition, they expressed an interest in learning more about the breed, assistance with
marketing and to increase Missouri Fox Trotting Horse registrations. From those ideas and suggestions,
the Stallion Tour was born.
As breeders ourselves, we know the difficulty in matching a mare to the perfect stallion. It is often
hard to judge a horse simply based on watching them in the show ring, looking at their papers or listening
to what people have to say about them. The best way to judge a stallion is often seeing them in person. Several years ago, we took our own stallion tour; driving from barn to barn over a two day period. With
that effort and expense, we were able to visit five barns and see eight stallions. The Stallion Tour takes
that same idea and super sizes it into a one-day event with unprecedented participation by stallions.
We are incredibly thankful to all the participating stallion for their enthusiasm and commitment to not only the Stallion Tour but to promoting the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse. This Tour has also provided
us an opportunity to work with some amazing sponsors, without whom this tour would not have been
possible. Lastly, thank you to the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association Board of Directors for
their support, encouragement and feedback. The support of the entire board has been overwhelming,
especially that of MFTHBA President Joyce Graening. We hope you enjoy the day and thank you for your support of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse.

Miller Time (“Miller”) has been a part of Thompson Stables since a
weanling and all his training has been done by Buck. He has a great
disposition. He has been ridden by ladies and children and handles
a busy barn full of people, kids, horses and dogs without being

Secret has shown a wonderful natural gait at liberty. His
ancestors include some great names: Imperial Sun Dancer
Y.E.C., Zane Grey’s Code Bill, and bloodlines tracking back
to Mr. President, Golden Governor, Cotham Dare, Gold
Man, Dina’s Silver Mist and Golden Rawhide. For those
of you interested in color genetics, Secret is a perlino that
is homozygous for black and heterozygous for dominant
agouti. What this means is that he will never produce a
red foal. No matter what color the mare, the foal will be
smoky black, buckskin, perlino or smoky cream (unless
there are other modifiers such as champagne, dun or silver
dapple).

Major Motion Edition (“Shorty”) is the son of Patriot’s Limited Edition and World
Champion mare Jazz’s Southern Belle. Bred and raised by Pat and Pam Dismukes
of Mt. Pleasant, TX. With proper handling and care, Shorty has always had a great
disposition and personality. In May 2011, Richard and Willa Danner of Abilene, KS saw
Shorty go through a workout here at Milestone Stables, where Richard commented
that Shorty was one of the best young horses he had ever seen. He also said if he was
ever on the market, he wanted to own him. In September 2011, with Pat Dismukes
having medical illnesses, Richard and Willa were fortunate and honored to purchase
Shorty.
Shown by David Ogle in 2011 and 2012, when 2013 rolled around Richard decided
with Shorty’s disposition he wanted Willa to start showing him. Willa had a wonderful
season with him, winning some classes and placing very high in others. The two of
them were cheered on by many people as they went around the ring and also many
