In 1998, we opened Manuel’s on Jollyville Road in the
Arboretum, and Changos Taqueria on Guadalupe. The Austin
community has enabled us to pursue our passion for great
food and service, and every year we give back by supporting
local arts and charitable organizations. Muchas Gracias for

Manuel’s restaurant has delighted local Austinites, politicians,
students & musicians since 1984. Our founder, Greg Koury, is a
3rd generation restauranteur who learned the business from
his grandmother and aunt at their steakhouses and
delicatessens in Toronto. Greg later developed an interest in
Latin culture and moved to Austin to attend the Institute of
Latin American Studies at UT. After college, he managed
several area restaurants, and at the age of 29 opened
Manuel’s. Rather than the standard Tex-Mex of the day,
his desire was to create unique and delicious recipes from
Mexico’s interior and coastal regions. He envisioned a
neighborhood place where the food was prepared and served
in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Together with the help of
his wife Jennifer and Operating Partner Ahmad Modoni, the
dream of Manuel’s came true.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover & Diner’s Club. No personal checks, separate
checks or split tickets. Substitutions & variations are subject to extra charge. Allow an 18%
gratuity for parties of 8 or more. To-go orders are charged 80 cents per container. Half price
appetizers are not available as to-go items. Half orders are available on certain items.
