Used pins are GPIO1 to GPIO10. – Configuration of GPIO pin as input with polling functionality – 10ms poll duration is every TDMA frame in GSM service and every frame in UMTS service – up to 2.7s during activated power saving (depending of power saving mode) – Usage of all 10 GPIO pins by other functionality is completely restricted No ADC available TC65i / AC75i - 2xADC/1xDAC Real Time Clock (RTC) – Same as EU3 Analog/Digital Converter (ADC) Interface – Can be configured via the AT command interface. Real Time Clock (RTC) – The clock will run while the board is powered by BATT+ – Associated timer features (here: setting the clock, query current time) will be provided to the user via the AT interface. – No RTC alarm Page 14 Strictly Confidential Cinterion Wireless Modules Network Features EU3 NITZ (Network Identity and Time Zone Indication) – GSM 24.008, ch. 9.2.15a and 9.4.19 Jamming Detection – Jamming detection will be available for GSM/GPRS in idle, packet transfer and active mode Configurable Support of MS-Class of Operation (B, C) – B - MS can register for voice / data services, but can only handle one kind of services at a time. – CG - MS can only register for packet services – CC - MS can only register for voice / CSD services Voice and data can be transferred simultaneously in 3G (MS-Class A) Multi band selection –Selective switching off/on of unwanted bands by AT command –Configurable search order of GSM and WCDMA bands Page 15 Strictly Confidential Cinterion Wireless Modules Technical Features EU3 Support of Video Calls – The module will forwared the raw video data stream (multiplexed, encoded, crypted, etc.), received from the network, to the application – Respectively, the user shall be able to establish outgoing video calls – Videocall will be realized similar CSD Call. The AT commands (at+cbst, +es, +esa) are used to prepare the call. – The incoming/outgoing datacall will use these settings (synchron, transparent, multimedia 64kb/s). – After call setup the data will be exchanged transparent via USB with the application. – The transparent exchanged data and the protocol are based on H324M – No video codec on board MMS – Customer implementation has to be done to support MMS. – The discussion is ongoing to support MMS on board FAX – Group 3, Class 1 – Transparent mode 3GPP TS62. – Transfer rates between 2k4 and 9k6 Page 16 Strictly Confidential Cinterion Wireless Modules Technical Features EU3 Robustness against Power Supply Loss (especially while flash access routines (write/read) are ongoing) – If hardware under voltage, generate the power down sequence if the BATT+ voltage falls below 2.55V – Sudden Momentary Power Loss (SMPL) feature initiates a poweron sequence if BATT+ drops outof-range (< 2.55 V nominal) then returns in-range within a programmable interval of between 0.5 and 2.0 seconds (prepared by hardware). Hot SIM Removal/Insertion – When detecting a removal of a SIM card during normal operation, the SIM interface will be switched off and the protocol stack will be shut down (reset) immediately, including aborting any ongoing call or data transmission. Autobading – Autobauding is supported. – Autobauding is not compatible with multiplex mode (If autobauding is active you cannot switch to multiplex mode). – The autobaud mode is activated with the next restart of the TA after entering AT+IPR=0 Page 17 Strictly Confidential Cinterion Wireless Modules FW Update EU3 Firmware Upgrade via USB/Serial Interface – Generic FW update via Serial and USB
