Volleyball: • Won league championship, Coach Yo Spencer chosen league Coach of the Year, Kaitlin Konsmo selected league MVP, and team received league Sportsmanship Award. • Qualified for State for 2nd consecutive year. Finished 4th at State tournament, tying best finish of any volleyball team in LCA history. Girls Soccer: • Finished 3rd in league and advanced to districts. Boys Soccer: • High participation and competed in league play. • Hosted free soccer clinic for youth of Tyler Square. Boys Basketball: • Undefeated in league play for 2nd consecutive year, won league championship, Coach Mark Lovelady chosen league Coach of the Year, Luke Lovelady selected league MVP. • Won district championship. • Advanced to Final 8 State tournament and finished 4th in State for 2nd consecutive year. • Luke Lovelady chosen for 1st Team All-State. Girls Basketball: • Finished 3rd in league and advanced to districts. • Courtney Youngblood invited to play in Washington/North Idaho All-State Girls Basketball games; signed to play basketball for Green River Community College. Cross Country: • Sent two runners to State: Camden Roberts and Kayla Gustafson. Cheer: • Cheer won two competitive competitions and advanced to State to defend championship title. Finished 3rd in State competition vs. teams from all league levels. Bowling: • First-ever LCA bowling team launched with 25 bowlers on roster. Wrestling: • First-ever wrestling program launched. Four wrestlers advanced to sub regionals. • Sophomore wrestler Ezra Miller finished 2nd at the sub regionals, placed 3rd at regionals and qualified to compete in the Mat Classic Wrestling State Tournament. • Junior Corbet Halar earned the 1st bronze medal in LCA wrestling history. Spring Sports [mid-season]: • Boys & Girls Golf defending their league championship with 10-2 dual meet record thus far. • Baseball off to an 8-1 league start, defending their league title. • Track & Field strong start. Many athletes achieving personal records, with high potential to compete at State. Other: • Introduced coaching development series for LCA coaches, focused on “upside down/to-by-for” Bible-based coaching philosophy. • Winter participation increased 57% over last year by adding wrestling and bowling. Summer 2016: • Basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, and wrestling sports camps will be offered. • Five baseball camps will be offered at inner city schools. Space is limited.
