DESCRIPTION
Top Cottage is a charming traditional cottage built
from stone under a pitched slate roof and offers
well appointed accommodation over one and a
half storeys. Sitting in an elevated position and
surrounded by woodland to the east, a trickling
burn to the south and open moor land to the west
and north, this property enjoys views from every
aspect. The cottage is currently being used as a
holiday cottage but it could be used as a family
home or as a second home.
From the garden a path leads to the front door
and into the entrance vestibule and through to the
hall. Doors lead from here into the sitting room
which with its large windows enjoys breathtaking
views towards the peaks of the Cairngorms. The
open fire ensures that this room offers a cosy
atmosphere throughout the year. The kitchen /
dining room, also off the hall, has half height timber
lined walls, large open fire and wall and floor units
and leads to the scullery. There is also a family
bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor
there are two double bedrooms and generous
storage in the built in cupboards on the landing.
Outside the enclosed garden is mostly laid to
lawn and includes several mature conifer and
broadleaf trees. A shed is attached to the rear of
the property provides useful storage / workshop
space.
