SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY, EDUCATION CENTRE, ECOVILLAGE
WORKSHOPS, TRAININGS and EVENTS
JANUARY - DECEMBER 2011
Welcome to Findhorn
A unique spiritual community, education centre and ecovillage
now is the time to meet the future
As we move closer to celebrating Findhorn's 50th birthday
in 2012, we can look back and celebrate our achievements
as a pioneering centre for transformative education and
demonstration. At the same time we look forward to meeting
the future by offering a range of new and potentially lifechanging workshops, trainings and events in 2011.
Over the past year our Building Bridges initiative has reached
a wider spectrum of people and organisations. We have
welcomed school groups wanting to know more about
living in community and co-creating with nature, local people
interested in sustainable living on all levels, a group of 27
young entrepreneurs who want to use their expertise to help
create a better world, and thousands more people from every
background and situation.
There are now more ways to engage with what the Findhorn
Foundation offers if you are looking for a way of life that
works, trying to find your own unique inspiration, or wanting to
learn new skills to help yourself and others to create a more
loving and sustainable world. Findhorn Intensive, an 18-month
training, combines participation in modules at Findhorn with
online peer group meetings and mentoring sessions online or
by phone. The new Living Education Apprentice Programme
(LEAP) is a simplified route to spending longer periods of
time in the community and contributing your gifts, skills and
inspiration.
In 2011 we look forward to a focus on health and wellbeing
with a major conference, Conscious Medicine, 23 - 26 April, to
explore creating health in a conscious universe; a visit by
Patch Adams, social activist and the original clown doctor,
28 - 29 May; Esalen® Massage training; laughter workshops;
and a range of arts and dance focused experiences.
The future starts here and now with each of us being the
change we want to see in the world. We invite you to come
and co-create with us, to be yourself, to experience a new
world. In Patch Adams' words: The most revolutionary act we
can commit in our world, is to be happy.
We look forward to seeing you.
minimising our ecologicAl Footprint
help us to help the environment
The Findhorn Foundation is known locally and globally as
a positive model for ecologically sustainable living. Our eco
footprint is the lowest ever measured for any community in the
industrialised world, and is just half the UK national average.
Our latest major project has been to reduce our carbon
emissions further by installing a biomass heating system for
a large area within The Park, Findhorn. This has helped us to
continue cutting back our dependence on fossil fuels.
2
Mindful of other areas where we can also make a difference,
we invite you to consider receiving this brochure by email,
instead of by post. We will let you know when our newest
brochure is available online by sending you an email. You can
then view the entire brochure as a pdf, but print out only
what you need, saving paper and the environment.
Email us at [email protected] to let us know if you
would like this option.

on the coVer: supporting Bees
We are very blessed to have community co-founder Dorothy Maclean back with us in the
community, inspiring us to give support to the struggling honey bees - it is a subject very close to
her heart. Honey bees are the number one insect pollinator on our earth, helping to provide 30%
of the food we eat. To support bees, Dorothy has encouraged everyone to work in co-creation,
to find an inner place of love and connection to all life, and from there to say a positive affirmation
for bees. The affirmation she uses is: 'The successful functioning of bees on the planet is a vital
need. I choose to invoke the vast loving power of my inner divinity to bring about the successful
functioning of bees here and around the world, bringing joy throughout'. We can all contribute
to doing this significant and far reaching work by spending time each day to work in co-creation, in
whichever way suits you best.

Who we are
Findhorn
FoundAtion
& community
At the heart of the Findhorn Foundation and community is the realisation
that all living things are interconnected and therefore we try to interact with
awareness of ourselves, other people and the earth. As a learning community,
we are continually exploring how to put these values into everyday practice.
For all who participate here, residents and visitors, it is an environment
that creates profound personal change. It seeds new ideas, directions, and
projects to meet the worldwide challenges and opportunities of our times.
The principles we practise today are essentially unchanged from 1962
when Peter and Eileen Caddy and Dorothy Maclean founded the
community. These a re: listening to inner wisdom, co-creating with nature,
taking inspired action. When Dorothy discovered she was able intuitively
to contact the intelligence of nature, the founders grew an abundant
variety of flowers, herbs and vegetables including the now-legendary
40-pound cabbages. As word of the Findhorn garden spread, other people
came to join in the community and in our work. In 1972 The Findhorn
Foundation was formally registered as an educational charitable trust and
unique non-denominational spiritual community.
The Findhorn Foundation is a spiritual
community, an international centre for holistic
education, and an ecovillage. Our aim is
actively to create a positive and sustainable
future for people and planet. We offer a
broad range of holistic workshops, trainings
and events in the unique environment of our
working community, providing demonstration
and inspiration for real change.
Ordinary life at Findhorn is the perfect classroom for living and learning about
integrity, love, beauty, purpose, leadership, communication skills, joy, service and
co-creation. We welcome you to take part in the great work and experiment
that is Findhorn, and to take your next steps on the journey of personal and
global transformation. You and your unique gifts are welcome at Findhorn.
inner listening
Meditation and attunement are integral parts of our daily life and there is time set
aside before, during and after the working day to connect with our inner wisdom and
bring all of our being present to our tasks. We have four meditation sanctuaries in The
Park and one at Cluny Hill College, open all day, and you are invited to use these facilities
whenever you wish. There are many other ways to connect with your own inner wisdom,
including working, playing, dancing, singing, and being in nature.
nature
The gardens at The Park and Cluny Hill College reflect our delight in co-creating with nature,
and they are nourishing and beautiful environments. At Cullerne Gardens we grow organic,
seasonal food for our kitchens. The beautiful unspoiled coastal landscape of the Moray Firth
provides further inspiration for discovering an harmonious relationship with the natural world.
Even if you do not work in one of our gardens during your visit, you will have time to explore and
enjoy the natural environment here.
inspired Action
A commitment to open and honest interactions, working together, growing organic food,
building eco-houses, running businesses, erecting wind turbines, recycling, meditating, exploring
alternative economic systems, interacting with our visitors - are all expressions of our inspired
action based on spiritual values. The Findhorn ecovillage is a built environment in harmony
with people and planet and it has the lowest ecological footprint ever recorded for a
community in the industrialised world. The Findhorn Foundation is a founder member of
the Global Ecovillage Network; a partner in CIFAL Findhorn (an international UNITAR
Associated Training Centre); and is an NGO associated with the UN Department of Public
Information.

Visiting Findhorn
Every year we welcome thousands of visitors from around the world
to participate in a variety of ways. If you can stay for a week or more, an
Experience Week is the best way to connect with Findhorn, providing a
complete experience of what is on offer here. Please see page 8 for a full
description. Or there is a wide choice of workshops, trainings and events
to choose from, starting on page 19.
If you can stay for only a few days, you
can participate as a Short Term G uest

if it’s not fun, it’s not sustainable!
Experience Week and all the other Essential Findhorn programmes are unique to
Findhorn. While you are here you are part of this working and learning community,
having a chance to do things differently and to put your insights and deeper values into
everyday action. You can connect with your own inspiration, with the people around you,
and with the intelligence of nature, to find new tools and skills for a more meaningful,
holistic and sustainable life.
Work is Love in Action
A big part of the Findhorn experience is working together. It’s an opportunity to do
simple things in a new way and with a new awareness of service to the whole. We
often say that working in our kitchens, dining room, homecare, gardens, maintenance or
administrative departments is practising Work is Love in Action.
There is the potential for learning to take place 24 hours a day and with every
person and situation you meet, as well as within the traditional setting of
workshops, trainings and events. When you work in Cluny Kitchen, Park Garden,
Cluny Homecare or any of our other departments, all tasks, from cooking the
lunch, planting seeds or cleaning the floor, are valued and essential parts of the
whole.
We interact with the tools we use, with the landscape, with each other, and with
our own inner wisdom in a conscious and attuned way, knowing that our small
actions are interconnected and are important for the future of humanity and the
planet as a whole.
The Essential Findhorn Journey
Essential Findhorn begins with Experience Week and continues on a journey of self-discovery and inspired action. Elements of
these unique programmes can also be found in all of our other workshops, trainings and events.
Your experience of the Findhorn Foundation and community
can be life-changing whether you join in just one workshop
or intend to live, learn and work in the community for a
longer period of time. The skills and insights you gather can be
taken anywhere and used in any context.
Come prepared to engage, laugh, cry,
dance and see yourself and the world in a new way. Build your own inner resilience as you give the world the gift of yourself, and
as you co-create a positive future in a changing world. The range of our Essential Findhorn programmes follows on the next pages.

Experience Weeks with a
special focus
This is the best way to come to Findhorn and find out about what it's like - it's seven
days that can change your life and your world. It is the ideal way to meet, engage with
and share in this ever-evolving journey of community living.
Family Ex perience Week
26 March - 1 April, 23 - 29 July,
6 - 12 August
You join in most aspects of daily life here including working four mornings in one of
our departments - the garden, kitchen, dining room, homecare or maintenance - giving
you many opportunities to practise ‘work is love in action’ and to interact with other
people in the community. The week also includes meditation, sacred dance, a nature
outing and being part of a supportive group, all combined with laughter, love and new
ways of being.
This family programme offers an
Experience Week with a special focus on
how conscious living can be integrated
into family life. You and your children will
have time together and apart throughout
the week. There are opportunities to
work, play and explore together, getting
to know other families in the group as
well as interacting with the community.
Experience Week is an invitation to let go of your limitations, open to love, and to
be the change you want to see in the world. It gives you a chance to experience the
principles on which the community is based: inner listening, a connection with all life,
and inspired living and working.
We ask that you come willing to participate fully in this rich and active week, to give
of yourself and engage with others. Our aim is to create an environment that enables
you to deepen your connection with all of life, and to open to transformation within
yourself and the group. All of these elements are also part of the Special Experience
Weeks we offer.
Experience Week runs at both campuses of the Findhorn Foundation, The Park and
Cluny Hill College. There are opportunities to visit and work at both campuses during
the week.
The programme runs from Saturday to Friday evening, and includes seven nights
accommodation and all meals, from the first Saturday lunchtime through until breakfast
on the Saturday morning of your departure. You should arrive before noon on the first
day of your Experience Week, so that the group can begin together. You need to speak
and understand English reasonably well - if you cannot, we offer Experience Weeks in
other languages during the summer months. Please see page 12.
Please join us for an adventure in new ways of living and relating, helping to create a
positive future for humanity and our planet.

The Findhorn Foundation community

human being. During these two weeks
we engage mind, body and spirit in living
an holistic, eco-friendly way of life. You
can attend both weeks or each week

Exploring Community Life (ECL) is a great way to broaden your
understanding of the community or to give you time and space
to integrate your experience after another programme. You may
also find this to be an attractive option for coming back to visit
and reconnect with the community.
There is less emphasis on a group experience than in an
Experience Week, and you are more integrated into the life and
working rhythms of the community. The group size is generally
smaller and the programme will run even for one person. It includes time in work departments to become more familiar with
our guiding principle of ‘work is love in action’. There are also sharings, and the possibilities of a group project, a nature outing and
if there is interest, a taste of the Transformation Game. Evenings provide opportunities to join in with community activities and
explore different aspects of living here, which may include spiritual and personal development, creative arts and sustainable living.
These elements are also part of the Special Exploring Community Life Weeks.
If you are thinking about a longer term commitment to staying at Findhorn, ECL can give you a good sense of what it is like
to live at Findhorn and it is a prerequisite for joining some of our longer programmes such as the Living in Community Guest
Programme and the Foundation Programme.

Space for you to explore

practice means different
things to different people
and can include meditation
of many kinds, other
practices, or simply be how
we live our daily lives.
This programme supports you to continue a path of transformation and growth in
your everyday life. It gives time to explore meditation, exercises and to approach
ordinary activities in a new way that encourages space for creativity and laughter. We
look at what supports or may sabotage the deepening of your inner connection.
There are daily sessions together and afternoons are in Foundation work
departments - our practical classrooms. The week is less of a group experience than
Experience Week and you are more integrated into the life and working rhythms
of the community. The group is generally smaller. There is time to take part in
community meditations and events, and one day is spent in silence as an opportunity
to deepen your inner experience. These elements are also part of the Special
Spiritual Practice Weeks.

I worked in the Cluny Homecare

made sense to me. After cleaning I can
see the result immediately and it`s a
wonderful feeling to do this for others
and for myself.
I loved to meet so many wise people
who seem to be connected with their
higher selves and who have something
special sparkling in their eyes. At the
beginning I was struggling with my
English but this was a good lesson
in learning that it`s sometimes more
important to feel only energy instead
of understanding every word. So I
explored new ways of communication.
The programme is available in fourweek segments, starting most Saturdays.
It begins with clarifying your individual
purpose and ends with a personal
review to support you in integrating your
experiences and to explore your next
steps. Using the process of attunement
you join the team of one of our work
departments (gardens, kitchens, dining
room, homecare or maintenance) where
you can deepen your experience of ‘work
is love in action’, and the awareness, joy
and freedom that arise from working in
this way.
I also found out that I can live easier in
the present moment in the Findhorn
Community. The safe, loving and warm
energy let me go through my own
process faster and I can find my inner
balance quicker and so I can easily
open my heart. And sharing all this with
other people is such a beautiful gift! I
have learned that I only need to find
my inner love and balance and then all
things from outside will be arranged in
the right way.

When you want to join LCG for the first

LCG is also a necessary step towards

An agreement to serve
We welcome applications for this programme all year round
LEAP is our new staff intake programme. We welcome you to come here and contribute your own unique gifts and skills, so that
together we can co-create a more loving and sustainable world. Applications will be considered through a process of attunement
and subject to the needs of work departments and availability of living space at the time of your application.
Once accepted onto LEAP you engage with the joys and challenges of daily life
in a spiritual community, education centre and ecovillage. We invite you to join
in the practice of being present in every task and interaction, and to choose
to live everyday life as a spiritual path with us - based on our core spiritual
principles of inner listening, work is love in action and co-creation with nature.
You join in a work department, participate in community meetings, engage in
spiritual and personal development, and have regular reviews.
This programme is a commitment to serve in this centre. We ask you to
contribute a full working week with some weekend rotas, and we will provide
you with food, basic accommodation and a supportive learning environment.
For those who commit to LEAP for a longer term (a minimum 6 months), you
commence the journey towards becoming a staff member by being welcomed in
a threshold ritual. You have a mentor, and engage with a self-directed learning path
which may also include taking part in our three-month Foundation Programme.
Although LEAP is our staff intake and training programme, staff positions are limited
and there is no guarantee of a staff job at the end of the programme.
We welcome you to take the leap, explore, and come and live the soul of service with us.
Income related price is £50 - £350 per month for the first six months of the programme. For further information please visit our
website or contact [email protected]
Experience Week plus two months of the Living In Community Guest Programme are prerequisite.

I have been able to use some of my most basic lifelong DIY skills of painting, sanding,
and wallpapering, and even have hopes of someday using my professional skills here
in project management when there is an opening, as there is always something that
needs to be built or renovated here. As I now work towards becoming a staff member,
I find even more so that the mystery school aspect of living and working here is the
most intriguing part of the experience - we each have such an interesting part to play
in the big picture of community life, and in each other's path toward greater spiritual
integrity and emotional maturity, and that certainly keeps me enthusiastic and inspired!

ongoing leArning opportunities
These are opportunities to stay connected to Findhorn and engage in ongoing learning even if you are not able to spend long

Findhorn intensive: An 18-Month Modular Training
Programme Modules: 5 - 11 March, 4 - 10 June, 3 - 9 September,
3 - 9 December, 10 - 16 March 2012, 9 - 15 June 2012
This rich journey is held in a group
and individual context, and supports
and inspires you to deepen your
connection with your innermost self
and open to new possibilities for
living, co-creating and serving with
an ever more authentic expression of
who you are.
The programme is six, week-long, residential modules over an
18-month period, with integration and deepening time between
them to ground your learning in everyday life. You have the
support of enquiry assignments, peer-group online meetings, and
monthly mentoring sessions online or by phone.
Initially the focus is on supporting you to find ways to open
to your own intuition and spirituality, through establishing or
deepening your spiritual practice and strengthening your inner
listening. In the second stage, through deepening and refining this
listening, you learn to attune to the world around you, opening
to new possibilities of relating and co-creating with other people,
with nature and life in all aspects. We explore some of the
dynamics and opportunities of working with awareness of group
and collective consciousness.
In the final modules we expand the ways you can engage with
and serve in the world and help you identify the unique ways in
which you experience meaning and aliveness, encouraging you to
step forward consciously with your expression. By the end of the
18 months you will have a greater understanding of yourself and
the way you relate to life and others, a greater clarity of purpose,
awareness of the potential for co-creative living that lies within
you, and will be able to bring your unique contribution to the
world in a way that positively adds to life.

The training now incorporates the

Week 1: People Care. The N ew
Paradigm - Design for Sustainability, Deep
Democracy, Building Effective Groups
The increasingly urgent global need for
viable, sustainable human settlements is
met by the ecovillage model for living.
Ecovillages provide environmental, social,
economic and spiritual sustainability,
and an enhanced quality of life for all.
Working with the simple principle of not
taking more away from the Earth than
we give back, ecovillages are consciously
diminishing their ecological footprint.
The principles of an ecovillage apply
equally to urban and rural settings, to
both developing and over-developed
countries.
This integrated undergraduate
programme provides an exceptional
opportunity for students to gain critical
personal and intellectual skills for creating
a more sustainable world. The four
courses covered in the semester are:

Sustainability: Ecovillage Living; Exploring
Self and Community through the Arts;
Group Dynamics. Each course provides

of life, enabling us to shape a truly holistic
future for the planet.
This module focuses on practices of

loving, respectful collaboration with the
subtle worlds. We draw on the pioneering
work of Dorothy Maclean and David
Spangler to deepen our participation and
discernment and build an interconnected
web of partnership with the world around
us. Prerequisite: Living Whole I, or appropriate
Incarnational Spirituality classes with Lorian.

instrumental in finding health, purpose,
self-esteem and fulfillment. Healing can
occur as we take responsibility for our
creations, accepting and appreciating
them unconditionally. Tuition and support

and sculpting, playfully and deeply, and
to connect the arts with self, nature and
inner work. There is time for reading and

Being with the Spirit of Cluny
Garden
30 April - 6 May
FINDHORN FOUNDATION
Franco Santoro & Sverre Koxvold
Working with expanded states of
consciousness, gentle forms of physical
contact and the transformational power
of deep emotions, we explore the
healing dynamics of human interactions
and share ways of expressing and using
feelings and passion in alignment with
our life’s purpose. We also explore the
multidimensional features of relationships,
sharing ways to release intense feelings
to promote forgiveness, transformation
and unconditional love.
The Work® is a simple yet powerful
process of inquiry that teaches you to
identify and question your thoughts,
which are a basic cause of suffering for
you as an individual and for the world
as a whole. People who do The Work as
an ongoing practice report life-changing
results. This workshop will give you a
solid introduction to this process and
enable you to practise and take it into
your life.
This workshop deepens trust in the
guidance and healing that come from
connecting with spirit and the world of
nature. During this inspiring week we
explore the hidden magic of the gardens
at Cluny, honouring the visible features
and their unseen essence. We learn how
energies in their various forms relate
to and affect our inner world. Includes
practical gardening and connecting with
nature in all its forms, as well as landscape
healing and shamanic rituals and practices.

Awakening sacred Feminine and masculine
Miranda Macpherson & Bob Duchmann
A 3-day retreat, 7 - 9 May
Our true nature as boundless beings does not have gender, but our human expression unfolds as feminine or masculine, or both. With
this comes particular orientations, gifts and differences that want to be embraced, enjoyed and embodied fully as part of the human
manifestation of God.
In this retreat, we will explore how the feminine and masculine relationship can be a
profound vessel for awakening.
Themes include:
• Accessing the sacred dimensions of gender
• Unravelling defences and habits of closure around love and sexuality
• Conflict and power struggles as a gateway for awakening
• Practices to harmonise love with truth, surrender with strength
• The alchemy of gender polarity that becomes mystical union
Husband and wife Bob Duchmann and Miranda Macpherson approach this subject with transparency, warmth and wisdom, teaching
from their own discoveries of spiritual liberation in the context of their very feminine and masculine expressions. The retreat will be
experiential and include inquiry-based exercises, energetic practices, music, open group dialogue and chair work.

The most revolutionary act we can commit in our
world, is to be happy.
Patch Adams is both a medical doctor and a clown, but he is also a social activist. He
believes that laughter, joy and creativity are an integral part of the healing process and
therefore true healthcare must incorporate happiness.
Patch has devoted his life to the study of what makes people happy. He founded the
Gesundheit! Institute in 1971 and is in the process of revamping it to offer free, fullscale hospital facilities within an eco-community in West Virginia, USA. He was the
inspiration for the Robin Williams film, Patch Adams, about his life as a clown doctor
pioneering his vision of a new healthcare model.
In Loving Work - Loving Play, Patch will share his 40 years of service and explore the
question, What is your Love Strategy? You will have an opportunity to learn about a
sustainable (no burn out) work life in any service orientated profession.
Feel energised, connected and revitalised by experiencing the love, fun and true
happiness that Patch Adams brings.

Esalen® Massage Certification Training
25 June - 22 July
FINDHORN FOUNDATION
Johanna and Perry Holloman
Esalen® Massage is a unique form of Bodywork developed over the last 40 years at
the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. This technique is known for its long integrating
strokes, creating an experience of deep relaxation supporting the natural ability of body
and mind to self-heal.
This training provides participants with in-depth experience and practice of basic
Esalen Massage techniques, enabling you to give a professional full body massage upon
completion of the course. Our study of massage is complemented by daily meditation,
yoga and other movement disciplines.
Through our daily massage and movement practice, we experience in our own bodies
the qualities of aliveness and flowing presence central to this method. This process of
self-exploration is a key element of grounding the teaching in the experience of the
body itself, and transforms what would simply be a ‘technique’ into a true healing art.
The deeper intent of our time together is to learn to touch others by first learning to
be touched, not only by the hands of our fellow students, but by an expansion of our
awareness throughout our own bodies, selves and souls.
The environment of the Findhorn Foundation fits well with this method as a path of
healing. Participants have the opportunity to experience life in the community, and
feel the natural power of the local landscape which so strongly supports inner spiritual
awakening.
Learning the art of Esalen Massage often changes lives. Whether your intent is to
explore a change of career, deepen your knowledge of bodywork, or to spend time
healing yourself through touching, our time together will stay with you for many years
to come. Whatever your intention, join us for this four-week journey. Our hearts will
convey our experience through our hands as we learn to heal ourselves and others
through this wonderfully effective method of Esalen Massage.

Festival of sacred dance, music and song
with special guest Yves Moreau plus Susanne Bartholomäi, Bill Henderson,
Hanna Morjan, Kate O'Connell, Rory O'Connell, Peter Vallance
9 - 15 July
Sacred/Circle Dance brings together traditional dances from around the world and contemporary choreographies, focusing on both
the individual and group experience. The dances range from joyful and fun to inward-looking and meditative and provide a channel
for spiritual harmony and growth. Findhorn has been home to these dances for more than 30 years and we continue to share their
transformational and healing power.
This year’s special guest,Yves Moreau, teaches Bulgarian village dances he has collected
during his many field trips. His teaching method is clear and thorough yet relaxed. Above
all,Yves shares his love for Bulgarian folklore and communicates the fun of dancing. He
will also teach folk dances from other Balkan countries and from Brittany.
We dance in the beautiful Universal Hall, surrounded by a stunning natural landscape of
dunes leading to the beach. In addition to the daily dance workshops there's the chance
to participate in the Festival Choir and Orchestra (bring an instrument!) and to provide
music for the final night's community dance and celebration. No previous experience is
necessary.
Dancing to live music is an important part of the Festival experience. There are evenings of Sacred Circle Dance, Scottish and Balkan
Dance, featuring our local musicians. Every year our Festival welcomes old friends and new faces who come to share with us the joy
and delight of dancing together in community. We look forward to welcoming you.

Findhorn Foundation Training in
Astroshamanic Trance Dance &

15 - 21 October Basic Week 1:
Astroshamanic Trance Dance & Drumming
22 - 28 October Advanced Week 2:
Astroshamanic Trance Dance Healing
FINDHORN FOUNDATION
Franco Santoro & Faculty
Shamans use dance to reach expanded
states of consciousness, communicate
with spirits and bring healing on a
planetary and individual level. The training
is designed for newcomers as well as to
consolidate previous experience with
astroshamanic trance dance. It consists of
two workshops, which can be attended
independently, and provides a solid basis
for more advanced work.
Basic Week 1: Astroshamanic Trance
Dance and Drumming
Trance dance and sound are used
as transformational tools to open to
expanded states of consciousness and
a profound awareness of ourselves
and our environment. During the week
we employ movement to animate
deep emotions and stagnant energies,
redirecting them to support highest
potentials, empower authentic visions
and step into the healing flow. Includes
astroshamanic chants, planetary
alignment dances, sound healing and the
basic astroshamanic drumming method.
Advanced Week 2: Astroshamanic Trance
Dance Healing
A special opportunity to experience
the transformational effects of shamanic
trance dance, music and percussion on
the human body, mind and spirit. This
is an intense week designed for those
who wish to deepen their experience,
including participants who intend to use
astroshamanic trance dance and sound
production in their healing practice with
others. The previous week (or another
one-week trance dance workshop with
Franco) is a prerequisite.

Last year we welcomed a
group of severely disabled
and sick adults who
traveled to us thanks to
the Jumbulance Trust. They
had a truly magical week
that deeply touched both
the participants and the staff of the Findhorn Foundation. Following
this programme it became clear to us that we needed to increase our
awareness and our facilities, and to expand our services to be fully
inclusive.
"I have no doubt that considerable healing happened last week.
To be in the presence of so much love does that."
- David Tinker, Jumbulance Group Leader
More and more diverse kinds of people have come to Findhorn in the
past year to experience what is on offer here, and we have plans to
continue widening our services to include more people in the future young, disabled, those who are healing or at risk. Our goal is to create
a welcoming and transformative environment for all people - one that
is sustainable, accessible and provides inviting and inspiring spaces for
guests, local people, visitors and community members. As we move
towards our 50th birthday in 2012 we know that our purpose in the
world is needed more than ever. As part of this we have identified
that we need to provide facilities that
will meet the requirements of all the
individuals and groups who want to
come here.
With this as our goal, we are actively
manifesting the funds needed to
replace some of our old, inaccessible buildings with ecologically sound,
accessible, highly sustainable buildings that will meet the needs of all
guests and residents in a practical and welcoming manner.
"I was deeply moved by what I saw happening to our group. Real
transformation for some, a new awareness in others - we call it
Jumbulance magic, caring at a deep level and giving love, but this
was something else and it worked. Thank you and bless you all."
- Chris, Jumbulance Group
