1.
The storage of product and installation site should have at or near environmental living conditions 60F – 80F temperature, 35%-55%
relative humidity, prior to, during installation, and maintained afterwards, and or until site is occupied.
2.
Do not store directly on concrete, allow for air circulation
3.
Failure to follow any of these guidelines in these instruction pages may result in an installation failure. Also, Purchaser and installer are solely and jointly responsible for pre-installation sub-floor moisture level check and must ensure that all conditions are/or specifications listed in this guide and in have been thoroughly met prior to installation of hardwood floor.

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods; such exposure may result in discoloration, and excessive temperatures
can cause the flooring to expand and lift off of the sub floor, or warp from excessive heat. During peak sunlight hours, the use of the
drapes or blinds is recommended.
5.
FERMA Flooring does not warrant nor is responsible for damage to floorcovering due to moisture related issues., or other
moisture related issues like the trapping of moisture emissions under the flooring .
6.
If installing over an existing floor, of which has grout joints, the joints must be filled in to be made smooth with the surface.
7.
It is recommended that installation by experienced professionals who subscribe to installation standards as set forth by NOFMA, NWFA.
8.
The installation of flooring must be conducted after kitchen cabinets, islands or counters are installed. No flooring should be installed
underneath any kitchen cabinet, island or counter. Otherwise, it will be treated as improper installation.
9.
The purchaser/installer should inspect all of the flooring before installation. The purchaser/installer should carefully examine the flooring
for color quality and finish. If there is any product discrepancy or not acceptable, DO NOT INSTALL it. Seller should be contacted immediately. Installation of flooring denotes installer and owner accepts the materials, even if owner is absent at time of installation.
The
manufacturer shall not be responsible for costs associated with repairing or replacing flooring installed with visible defects. Manufacturer allows for deficiencies up to 2%. This 2% may be composed of manufacturing deficiencies, or other. It is also required that all
orders for flooring include an additional overage of floorboards – maybe five percent of the actual footage – to allow for proper cutting
for installation may be needed, depending on how many cuts are needed and waist factor on job site.
10. It is the purchaser/installer’s responsibility to determine the suitability of the job site environment and sub-surfaces involved. Installation
must follow recommendations of the construction industry and the material’s manufacturer as well as local codes. Reference is made to
NWFA requirement for minimum job site conditions and substrate requirements.
11. FERMA declines any responsibility for job failure or non-acceptability from or associated with sub-floor/substrates or job site environmental deficiencies. Purchaser and installer are solely and jointly responsible for pre-installation sub-floor moisture level check and must
ensure that all conditions are/or specifications listed in this guide and the National Wood Flooring Association’s installation
guidelines and recommendations are adhered to.
12. Concrete sub-floor must be flat to 1/8” in 6ft or 3/16” in 10 ft. Concrete may have to be shot blasted, scarified, or ground down
until acceptable. Moisture testing is necessary by concrete moisture meter and calcium chloride test. Reading is not to exceed 4.5
on the meter scale. The use of calcium chloride test is also acceptable. Moisture emissions are not to exceed 3lbs per 1000sf. in a 24
hour time period . Concrete must be at least 30 days old before moisture content testing takes placing. Excessive moisture in
sub floor can promote mold growth.
13. The flooring is not recommended directly over fire-retardant treated plywood or preservative treated plywood. An additional layer of APA rated 1/4" thick underlayment should be installed.
14. Use spacers, and maintain a 1/4” space between all walls and flooring product. Undercut doorjamb so the ¼ inch expansion space is
maintained, allowing the LVT to slip under doorjamb/case molding. Maintain the ¼ inch space around cabinets, pipes, toilet flanges
and any obstacle in the floor.
15. Warranty exclusions with respect to rolling loads. If you have frequent or heavy rolling conditions, click products can be glued down
to help reduce the risk of joint separation from rolling load traffic; however our warranty still excludes any problems associated with
rolling loads.
