We hope to expose the average family to wonderful Arabian horse and to show the versatality of the breed. Requirements: Participants must be current members of NMAHA The horse must be a registered Arabian or HalfArabian. Darcie Elmhorst managed from 2007 until 2014 NMAHA Royalty Program The NMAHA Royalty Program was started in 2014 under the direction of Jaime Diederich. Pillager Cup (1976) cancelled due to fire danger 1979 Dues raised to $15 voting 1980 Club back on financial sound grounds, show made $5,452 profit with 260 horses, expenses $7,846, Revenues $13,298 1981-83 Bus trips were organized to different horse farms, White Elephant Sale at Christmas Party, Amurath Rashid got Legion of Honor at 10 yrs old.(1982), Chuck DeRosier was show manager and Janeen DeRosier show secretary 1984 NMAHA show moved to Sauk Centre, MN. Kathy Monico show manager. Entries: Halter $8, Perf. $10, Stalls $10 1985 IAHA NMAHA Youth Team: Holly Johnson, Holly Foster, Marilyn Carpenter, Ariana Fielding, Angie Doty and Scott Monico finished in first place for Region Ten, NMAHA show secretary Donna Lehto 1986 NMAHA hosted Region 10 Endurance Ride, Tax laws changed and had major impact on Arabian horse industry 1987 Membership fees raised to $25, IAHA in financial problems, NMAHA discussed moving show to Windom or Cannon Falls, 1988-89 NMAHA show one of few shows making money, Calcutta classes added to show to raise money, ’88 show had 264 horses, ’89 show had 216; 1988 expenses $12,584.70, Sherry Sievert show secretary 1990 Dues $45 voting; Mary Smith show secretary 1991 No Endurance Ride 1992-93 Summer Horse Fairs-held at Guardian Farms, New Munich. ND 1998 Wulf ’s had a retirement sale 1999 Mary Smith moved to KY to become Director of USEF’s Stewards/Judges Licensing Department, Lois Tesch show sec. 2000 93 voting members, 12 youth and 2 social, sold stalls to fairgrounds for $21,500, Lois Tesch show sec. 2001 NMAHA show had 220 horses, Sonya Olson show sec., Wulf ’s and DeRosier farms hit by tornadoes 2002-04 Jody Converse newsletter editor, sent 3 delegates to Convention (had 101 members), Deb Razlerd show sec. Jean Show manager 2005 Newsletter got new name: The NMAHA Bit 2006 Ambassador Program started by Darci Elmhorst to promote membership; showmanship clinic at Darci’s NMAHA website up and running, Jody Converse was webmaster 2007 The first Community Show at Litchfield, Darcie Elmhorst, show manager 2008 NMAHA show: Expenses $ 18,016.37, Revenues $18,258 2009 NMAHA show: Expenses $18,294.09, revenues: $18,961 2010 ND Club pulled out of having a Double Fun show; NMAHA Expenses $19,434.81, revenues $22,716 2011 NMAHA show: Entries: Halter $18, Perf. $18, Dressage $20, Stalls $55; horses 108 2012 NMAHA and Minn-i-kota shared show date with our show Friday/Sat. and their One-Day show Sunday 2013 Membership had 50 members a decline being experienced throughout AHA membership 2014 Royalty Program was started: Rachel Temp was chosen Queen, Josie Magnan-Jr. Queen, Katelyn Lipelt-Princess, Paige Frenchick-Sweetheart 2015 NMAHA show moved to R&J Arena, Verndale, MN and went to a two One-Day Show format.
