2015 JARRETT PAYTON LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
about the jarrett payton Foundation The Jarrett Payton Foundation (JPF) is committed to positively impacting the lives of children and adolescents - physically, emotionally and psychologically - by creating and providing programs that present them with a wide variety of opportunities specifically designed to develop their leadership skills and enrich their lives. JPF strives to positively influence young people in and around Chicago through two core programs: the summer football camp, Jarrett Payton Leadership Academy, and the anti-bullying program, Project: No Bull. Jarrett Payton is a radio/television host, philanthropist, entrepreneur, public speaker, retired professional football player, and proud son of the late, great Walter Payton. Since he first became known for giving an emotional and heartfelt speech at his father’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 1993, Payton has achieved great success in his own right. No achievement, however, is more important to him than the ability to give back to the community and is a responsibility he does not take lightly. The basis for Jarrett’s foundation, in fact, is rooted in another great lesson his parents taught him - that no one of us is no better than the next. We are more similar than we are different. ABOUT MOOSEHEART Mooseheart Child City & School (www.mooseheart.org) is a community and school for children and teens in need, supported by the Moose fraternal organization. Founded by the Moose in 1913 and situated on a beautiful 1,000acre campus 38 miles west of Chicago, Mooseheart cares for youth whose families are unable, for a wide variety of reasons, to care for them. Some have lost one or both parents; others are living in environments that are simply not conductive to healthy growth and development. 2015 JARRETT PAYTON LEADERSHIP ACADEMY YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP MONDAY, JUNE 8 - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10, 2015 Mooseheart features roughly 30 homes, each designed like a spacious, wellappointed single-family home, in which children and teens live in groups of six to ten, under the care of trained and compassionate Family Teachers.
