Presidents Message
January is off to a good start for the year. We had our first board meeting, where our new officers met to
organize and plan events for the coming year. We had our first tour of the year – a monumental event. The tour
included a police escort down Highway 101 as part our celebration of Lou Matasʼ 101st birthday. Thanks to the
three Sheriffʼs Officers for leading our group. Thirteen Model A's, with Lou leading in his car, were escorted
from Wellesly Crescent Park to our destination, Paulʼs at the Villa, for our annual Presidents Brunch. The
Presidentʼs Brunch was well attended. At the brunch, Tom Jeanes acknowledged last yearʼs officers and club
contributors, and Tom was commended for his five years as president. We finished the morning with a birthday
cake for Lou. Can you imagine a birthday cake with 101 candles? We finished the month with a return to the
Burlingame Library for our General Meeting, where we outlined scheduled events for February; Valentineʼs
Day Sweeties Tour and Club Safety Clinic. Grab the keys to your Model A and join the tour and Safety Clinic.
We have lots planned for the year. More details to follow.
