RAYMOND SOUSTER AWARD
SUBMISSION FORM
• Book may be submitted by publisher, poet or other nominator.
• Poet must be a member of the League of Canadian Poets (dues paid to date).
• Title must conform to the UNESCO definition of a book (at least 48 pages, excluding front and back material).
• Book must have been published in 2016 and must have one author. Translators are not eligible as authors.
• Book must be published by a reputable press with an independent editorial process and publishing program.
• Chapbooks and/or self published books are not eligible.
• Book may be submitted in any language. Translation must accompany any non-English submission.
• If the book is “selected” or “collected” work, it must contain at least 50% new material, measured in pages of text.
This percentage must be identified on this form upon submission.
• Handling fee per submission is $25.00 (non-refundable). Make cheques payable to the League of Canadian Poets.
• Please note that cash payments will not be accepted. Submitted books will not be returned.
Submissions are to be forwarded to League office, postmarked no later than NOVEMBER 1, 2016 and must
contain the following:
• Raymond Souster Award Submission Form
• Four (4) copies* of book
• Payment of handling fee (credit card, cheque or money order)
• Additional Biography/Bibliography Pages (if applicable)
