The Cal Pac Summer Camp programs are offered at five locations throughout Southern California and are accredited by the American Camp Association. Our staff are screened, trained and provide a mix of volunteer and paid leadership from the perspective of various ages, cultures and experiences. Our staff focus on the well-being of the camper first and provide wonderful role-models and mentors for the participants. The model is a biblically-based experience of Christian community in the outdoors for a week (3 days for younger elementary). Time is spent building RELATIONSHIPS with God and one another through small groups, Bible study, worship, games, hiking, swimming, archery, challenge courses, singing, campfires and great meals. Campers will have FUN as they grow in faith and self-esteem, learn leadership and interpersonal skills with peers and adults, and continue on the path of discipleship as they return home. Our camp programs are open to all kids going into 1st grade through graduating 12th grade. Cal Pac Camps and Retreats does not discriminate based on race, color, sex (including gender and pregnancy), age, marital status, national origin, disability (physical or mental), sexual orientation, medical condition, genetic characteristics, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. Morning Watch Start the day with a morning devotional. The day theme, verse, bible story is introduced. Morning Worship/Input Campers get their groove on in praise and worship songs. They also get a more in depth look at the day theme through skits, crafts, interactive activities, personal testaments and more. Family Group Family groups are small groups of 8-10. In family groups, campers get to know each other on a personal level, they share of themselves, support one another and delve deeper into the day’s theme. Family groups are a time for games, discussion and other interactive activities. Workshop/Camp Game This is a time of day that is set apart for community building and personal learning experiences. An all camp game helps kids to learn the importance of interacting with one another and working together to reach a common goal in a fun way. It’s also a time for campers to be active and experience the outdoors. Camp workshops are times where campers can learn a new skill or discuss a new topic. All our camp games and workshops are age appropriate and friendly. FOB/BOB/REST Each of our camp programs takes at least an hour out of each day after lunch to allow the campers to rest and be still and to rejuvenate for the afternoon activities.
