I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you all and
your knowledge and guidance has helped me to be a

A MNEST Y WO R K SH O P
Coborn welcomed Laura Francis from
Amnesty International who came in to
speak about the work she does and how
the young people can aspire and
contribute . Here is what she had to say
about The Coborn:
“Thank you again so much for such a great
morning on Friday. It was wonderful to meet the
young people, yourself and the other lovely staff. I
found the session hugely rewarding and inspiring
and I do hope it had a positive impact for the
young people too.
The whole atmosphere of the centre made a
profound impact on me - it's clear you are doing
amazing work there.
I've attached a photo of the card just before I
posted it this morning, along with an explanatory
note - although it's important to be very realistic
about expectations, and we normally would not
expect it, it will be interesting to see if there is any
kind of response.
I would love to come back to run a similar session
in a few months, as you were suggesting, and it
feels like there could be some interesting
opportunities with survivors at Freedom From
Torture as well.
