YZ125 HIGH PERFORMANCE KIT
For 2016, GYTR® introduce the new High Performance Kit for the YZ125, the new standard in off-the-shelf performance
from Yamaha.
The new engine kit has been developed in cooperation with YAMAHA RACING and it is a result of their extensive knowledge
combined with their GP racing experience. The target of the kit is to improve the overall performance of the production
YZ125, whilst specific attention has been paid to ensuring that a high performance level is reached, without sacrificing
engine durability on heavy racetrack conditions.
Fitment:
GYTR® recommends that the High Performance Kit is only fitted to a brand new 2016 YZ125 or, where an older model is
used, the engine has been freshly overhauled to ensure performance and durability*.
This means a YZ125 from 2015 and older can also make use of this kit.

YZ125 GYTR® Kit contents:
Cylinder head with removable insert
Special cylinder head fully machined with
detachable combustion chamber’s insert.
The insert can be replaced in case of damage.
Ported cylinder
Ported cylinder developed by GYTR®.
Cylinder improves airflow of the ports.
Comes with new oil seal pre-installed for
the shaft of the exhaust valve system.
Piston
The piston is developed by GYTR® and
comes complete with piston ring, piston pin
and two (2) circlips. The GYTR® piston has
a different profile and material compared
to standard piston. One (1) spare piston
assembly is included in the kit.
VFORCE ® Reed Valve air intake system
Intake manifold with carbon-fibre reed
valves for better throttle response and
durability.
Exhaust Pipe
The exhaust pipe is made to provide a wellbalanced performance and throttle response
in both middle and high RPM ranges.
Silencer
GYTR® designed the titanium silencer to
reach the best engine power while ensuring
the durability.
Carburettor Setting Kit (set)
Contains a set of 3 main jets and 2 needles
to adjust the kit accordingly to weather,
height and track conditions. Advice setting
is given in kit manual.
Magneto rotor unit
Additional magneto rotor, with higher
inertia mass than in stock YZ125. Especially
beneficial for riders that want a more
torquey engine.
CDI
This digital CDI is mapped by GYTR® with
latest 2016 map. It provides optimum
ignition characteristics to improve the
basic performance of the GYTR® Engine
Kit.
Very important: this CDI needs resistor’s
type spark plug (not included in the kit).
(The standard YZ spark plug has resistor).
Kit Manual
The Kit Manual gives you some additional
information straight from the Yamaha
Factory Racing experts to get the best
performance and durability out of your
YZ125 engine.
Note!
This Manual must always be treated as an
addition to the 2016 YZ125 Owner’s Service
Manual.
The GYTR® Kit parts only improve the
performance as a set. When individual
parts are used, performance and durability
cannot be guaranteed.
