ACOUSTICA 2014 Hi-Fi SHOW – 12/13 April

Hi-Fi, we are for the second year running
taking over the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel
at Junction 12 of the M53 for a complete
weekend, just up the road from our shop. For
those using Sat Nav systems, CH2 3PD will
find it. Naturally, all that you can see at the
show will be on permanent demonstration
at our shop for further listening.
The show is on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th of
April from 10.00am until 5.00pm on Saturday,
and 10.00am until 4.00pm on the Sunday,
admission is free of charge. The Hotel’s bar
and catering facilities will be at your disposal,
maybe even consider staying over on the
Saturday night, it’s a nice place to be. Our aim
is to entertain and offer a relaxing but enjoyable
day out; there is plenty to look at and to listen to.

Naim Audio’s big news for 2014 is the launch

Focal’s (then called Focal JM Lab) biggest
UK dealers, but with various changes of
distribution, we parted company. Well now
they’re back, better than ever. Best of all is
the Utopia range, with the stand mount Diablo
at just shy of £10,000 and the Scala V2 floor
stander at a cool £19,000 - and there are more

Chord have always been at the forefront of cable technology, producing the vital link between
components to make sure nothing is lost in the transfer of signal information. Whilst we are all
used to this in terms of Analogue interconnects, and more recently Digital interconnects, we now
have Ethernet and data transfer to consider.
This year, Chord have introduced a range of Ethernet Cables, priced from ‘affordable’ to, well
let’s say much more. And depressingly they make a HUGE
difference in sound quality. We were surprised, confused
and didn’t believe what we were hearing, they shouldn’t
make a difference, but they do!
Chord will be demonstrating these cables at the show.

UnitiServe, HDX or whatever) and router (or switch).

RECORD & CD SALES
We are pleased that we will have a wide selection of recorded
music available for sale throughout the weekend from two
suppliers, offering both high quality vinyl as well as CD.
Bring cash to spend, as I think getting card facilities at the
Hotel may be a challenge.
You never know what you might find!

We have a job opportunity, ideally we thought one of our customer’s offspring might be interested
to learn the ropes, and by virtue of Daddies (Mummies?) Interest, would already have an
appreciation of Hi-fi.
Assets would be aforesaid interest, a full – clean driving licence, good people skills and an
understanding of decent coffee. Drop us a line if you think you might be suited.
MAKING BUYING HI-FI EASIER
To make it easier for you to buy the new Hi-Fi system you have been longing for, we have a few
options available to help ease the financial pain.
Firstly, we will take in part exchange any components you are no longer using, no matter how
many pieces that may be. We will then sell them on eBay on your behalf, and whatever we sell
them for goes towards the purchase of new equipment. The only charges that will come off the
selling price will be £20 to cover all of eBay’s fees, and Paypal sales fees if they apply. The rest is
yours to spend on whatever you wish.
Secondly, through Barclays Bank, we can offer a 12 month buy-now-pay-later scheme, subject to
the usual conditions.
Thirdly, it’s the time of year when we refresh much of our demo stock of all brands, so if you don’t
mind taking on a piece of our lightly used display stock, there may be a worthwhile saving to be
had. Have a look at our website listings, but there are many, many more products available to
regular customers only. If you don’t ask, you don’t get!
