Simple, secure and easy to use. Kno2
supports a critically valuable source
of communication known as Direct
Messages—a healthcare-compliant
method for securely and confidentially
exchanging information between two
providers. Similar to email, Direct
Messages are built around the familiar
concept of a sender, a recipient, a
composed message and attachments.
Its simplicity, ease of use and intuitive
interface ensure that any learning curve
is short—and existing processes are
improved without being disrupted.
Addresses.
As many as you need. As with email,
a healthcare organization can assign as
many addresses for Direct Messages
as needed. Messages can be routed
based on rules-based procedures,
including document type. To maintain
confidentiality, the ability to send and
receive Direct Messages is restricted
to approved healthcare providers and
organizations—and the addresses
must be assigned according to the
schema and hierarchy dictated by
the health information exchange
network’s national provider directory.

Portability.
Records that move with your patients. As
patients come and go from healthcare provider to provider in their
communities (so-called “transitions of care”), Kno2 ensures their
information can move with them in secure, standardized formats.
Transfers of Care, Referrals, Advanced Directives and other
record-sharing activities can be shared with outside providers
and partners. This keeps patient records accurate and up-to-date
while ensuring that each provider serving the patient is informed
and compliant with regulations. This is critical in today’s model of
managing the patient’s health across the continuum of care.
Attachments.
Kno2 enables everyday scanning
devices to capture and send clinical
documentation using Direct Messages
as well as attachments—quickly and
cost-effectively replacing outdated fax
technology and making the most of
the devices you may already have.
Kno2 can receive any attachment
format including CCD, CCR, CDA, HL7,
PDFs, MS Word files and all image
formats—and can automatically convert
any attachments into structured Direct
Messages attachments using CDA
standards for immediate interoperability.
Kno2 is the lightweight, simple to use cloud-based software application that connects the healthcare
continuum and creates the ability to move away from the industry’s dependence on traditional fax
