The lack of a clutch cone meant the drive
needs a way to shift. A Borg-Warner Velvet
Drive transmission has been incorporated into
the extension box. The engine remains in the
stock Bravo location as shown. (Also available without extension box, engine moves

SCX BILLET TOP CAP
Engineered from scratch for high horsepower/high torque engines,
IMCO’s SCX.
• No transmission needed. Cone clutch shifts internally.
• Fits standard Bravo gimbal with helmet change.
• Larger net-forged, 1 piece gears and oversized bearings.
• Larger clutch.
• Internal water cooling with built-in drive shower.
• Giant 5 quart oil capacity.
• 3 gear ratios available 1:25, 1:34, 1:50.
Designed with larger bearings and races. Both lower and upper
gears circulate oil through internal passages for better top cap
lubrication. Cooling water passes internally through the case
from lower to upper, cooling oil and case throughout its travel.
No external hose necessary.
SCX BILLET PINION PACK
This hub is machined from solid billet stock. It is designed for
ease of assembly. Set the rolling preload of the pack and it is
ready for assembly. Backlash is than set by shimming the pack.
No further preload adjustment is necessary.
SCX UPPER CASE
One piece case. casting is reinforced in critical areas for additional torque loads. Cast in bridge for additional side load
strength. Improved screw in solid wear pads. Cavitation plate is
extended for quicker easier planeing. All bearings and race are
of maximum size and durability. Built in oil tank with 5 quart
total capacity.

SCX UPPER FORGED GEARS
CLUTCH SHAFT
IMCO net forged gears are made from the highest quality material and forged in one piece. Gear tooth configuration includes
three sided webs and large radius for maximum gear strength.
Driven gear is a full 5” diameter.

Xtreme Advantage SC not only makes the
difference on how fast you go,
it makes the difference
on how far you go!
The Billet Aluminum top cap is supported by eight
bolts with a controlled water-circulation
system and built in spray nozzles to provide
maximum cooling to the external upper gear case.
IMCO Xtreme Advantage drive is the only drive available with
both upper and lower steel towers.
IMCO has developed a rigid pinion and bearing pack assembly
with non-elastic shims to provide the correct rolling torque
while stabilizing both input yoke and pinion. Tightened to 75
lb/ft, the pinion assembly is held in place by our plated steel ujoint retainer nut through a direct load-bearing path.
NET FORGED UPPER GEARS
The steel tower in the floor is stabilized through internal
lateral support beams to eliminate tower flex and gear
deflection.

units only, for those who may already own a IMCO, or a stock
Bravo lower. Servicing can be performed by any qualified
Mercruiser repair shop, no need to send back to the manufacturer. This means more time on the water.

XTREME ADVANTAGE LOWER UNITS
PROP SHAFTS
Hydro dynamically designed, cast aluminum lowers have been
reinforced in all the critical stress areas for improved strength
and durability. Designed with a unique oil passage that provides
for lower oil temperatures, less bearing, and gear wear, and
greater reliability. With the extended leading edge, the Xtreme
Advantage lower reduces slip, prop blowout and drag. The
internal design allows for more air to pass through the propeller
hub, reduces drag which greatly improves top end speed.
IMCO prop shafts are made from non-corrosive aerospace
alloy. Standard diameter, 1” prop shafts are available for
stock Mercury bearing carriers or IMCO billet bearing carrier,
IMCO billet carriers triple the stock load carrying capacity.

IMCO’s precision engineered one
piece vertical torsion shafts are
made from an aerospace allow,
designed to absorb the load created by hi-pitch props used today.
Available in four sizes, standard length, 1”, 2” and 3”.
For extreme duty, you need to use or Xtreme 11/4” or new 17/16”
diameter. The 11/4” has 60% more material in the cross sectional area at the prop spline and the 17/16” has 75% more. These
shafts can be retrofitted to a stock lower gear case. You can use
your square bore propeller with a Mercury prop adaptor (11/4”
prop shaft) or the IMCO prop adaptor (17/16” prop shaft).

A complete engine mounting system, fully adjustable height and width from 25”-30” stringers and
easy to use. Compact size allow easy access to hoses, oil coolers, water pumps, wiring and additional hardware. All parts are pre-fabricated and ready to mount. Adjusting hardware is

We have over 30 years of experience in assisting marine manufacturers (as well as the individual consumer) throughout the
western United States. We use our unique race-proven methods
to build a tank to your specifications.
Gunnel Tanks
Note in the photographs throughout this section, we use radius
bends to eliminate surface cracking in materials normally
caused by sharp bends. We use rib-bending to prevent oil canning which causes metal fatigue.

The fuel tank covered by this warranty was produced by IMCO (Inman Marine
Corporation), and it is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one
year from the date of its first consumer sale, whether by IMCO or by any other marine products dealer or seller.
LIMITATIONS: This warranty is expressly conditioned upon the tank having been properly
installed and under proper usage for which the tank was intended. The terms of this warranty shall not apply to any case where any unauthorized repair or work has been done upon
the tank.
IMCO fuel tanks are designed strictly for pleasure craft purposes only. Any tanks used in
crafts other than for pleasure purposes will not be covered in any way under this written warranty as set forth herein, and IMCO in no way will be liable or responsible for any damages.
It is expressly provided that IMCO shall not be responsible for consequential inconvenience,
injury, or damages; and that no warranty, expressed or implied, other than this written warranty is made or authorized by IMCO.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, some states do not allow certain limitations, or exclusions may
not apply when the laws of such states are controlling. Furthermore, this warranty gives the
buyer specific legal rights, and the buyer may also have additional rights which vary from
state to state.
WARRANTER PROMISES: In the event that the fuel tank, to which this warranty applies,
fails to comply with the terms of the warranty set forth above, IMCO agrees to either replace
or repair any part or parts which are defective in materials or workmanship, or IMCO agrees
to refund an amount not in excess of the factory purchase price of said part or parts. The
decision as to which of the foregoing remedies is allowed shall be made in the sole discretion
of IMCO upon the following principles: IMCO will in all cases elect to either repair or replace
such a part or parts unless
a) IMCO is unable to provide a replacement and/or repair is not commercially practical or
cannot be timely made, or
b) IMCO and the consumer mutually agree upon a refund as set forth above, except as provided hereafter with respect to certain allowable cost incident to replacement or repair, and
with respect to the remedy for a defective sender. The foregoing shall be the exclusive
remedy offered by IMCO under this warranty.
The sending unit has a one year limited warranty. IMCO will replace any defective senders
within this time frame at no charge. However, IMCO will not pay for or be liable for any
labor costs incurred.

to remedy the defect. He/she then must write or phone IMCO with a report of the inspection.
When a claim has come to the attention of IMCO in either manner as set forth above, the
consumer or dealer must give the date the tank was manufactured and the date the boat was
purchased. IMCO will at this point determine whether the claim is covered by the warranty as set forth herein, and IMCO reserves the exclusive right to make this determination.
If the claim is covered by warranty and the consumer has followed procedure (A) above,
IMCO will instruct the consumer either to send the defective merchandise to IMCO, freight
collect, or to deliver the defective product to a specific authorized IMCO dealer, who shall
be informed of the work which IMCO will perform under the warranty, or to pursue such
other reasonable course of action at the expense of IMCO, which IMCO in its sole discretion shall deem most practical in satisfying its obligations hereunder.
PROCEDURE (C): If the consumer desires, the following additional claims procedure is
available, but the burden of all costs incurred pursuant thereto, prior to approval of the
claim by IMCO, must be borne by the consumer, who is subject to possible limited reimbursement as set forth hereafter. Under this procedure, the consumer must return the defective product directly to IMCO freight prepaid. If upon receipt of the defective product,
IMCO approves the warranty claim, IMCO will replace or repair the product and return it
to the consumer freight prepaid, along with the reimbursement of the initial freight cost
incurred by the consumer.
NOTE: Under all three of the claims procedures set forth above, IMCO will not pay for, or reimburse the cost of, repair work or other labor (including labor with respect to tank removal)
unless prior authorization for such service has been granted by IMCO. Under the limitations of
this warranty set by IMCO, IMCO fuel tanks cannot be tampered with or repaired by any source
other than IMCO. If so, under no conditions, will IMCO honor the warranty.

IMCO’s sea strainers are the strongest available on the market.
Our stainless steel cans are investment cast for strength. Our
brackets are unique in design. Machined out of 386 aluminum
and polished. The mounting bracket bolts together with 2 stainless steel allen bolts, capturing the can, o-ring seal, and the 3⁄4”
plexi-glass top in one clean and simple operation without stress
on the glass. Our perforated screen works as a grater to reduce
debris into fine particles. IMCO’s strainers are 61⁄4” in diameter, 5” deep, and can be ordered in any depth for offshore use.

IMCO’S cast aluminum, polished, big block valve covers allow
access for hard to reach bolts on center riser manifolds. Our
unique design allows for roller rocker and stud girdle clearance.
Valve covers come with 1 each oil fill cap per pair. Polished cast
aluminum, baffled breathers, 04-1260 and 04-1265 are available and are internally tapped for mounting.
IMCO’s polished aluminum puke tanks may be mounted on the
engine or behind the engine for use as a remote breather. They
eliminate the problem of oil blowing out of the breathers onto
the valve covers. Our valve cover breathers, 04-1270 come

These high performance manifolds are unique in design, that
creates a high velocity airflow that increases torque, rpm, and
horsepower over stock cast iron manifolds on both small block
and big block. We have experienced 40 to 50 foot pounds of
torque on big block 502, 415 horsepower motors, and 80 to 90
foot pounds of torque on engines up to 575 cubic inches.
Powerflow manifolds are water-jacketed, water surrounds each
exhaust passage, including the ports to eliminate burnout. Black
manifolds are hard anodized prior to powder coat, to ensure against
corrosion. All manifolds are available in Recirc or standard.

The risers are highly polished stainless steel, and are designed
for 4” exhaust tips. We offer a wide variety of riser pipe configurations (as shown), to accommodate just about every application. Custom riser pipes can also be manufactured to order, just
give us a call for details.
Our Powerflow manifolds have a weight savings of 80 pounds
over stock cast iron big block manifolds. It allows for twin
engine mounting down to 33” centers. Small block weights 65
pounds less than stock cast iron and allows for twin installation
down to 30” centers.

POWERFLOW SMALL BLOCK
These manifolds were designed for high horsepower 350 cid to
427 cid engines that are making 350 HP Plus. Manifolds have a
11⁄2” I.D. Runner with a tall D port entry. The outlet is 3” with a
stainless steel air straightened plate to direct exhaust into riser
pipe for maximum scavenging. Manifolds will work with angled
spark plugged heads or straight spark plugged heads. Also you
can use tall valve covers for various rocker arm assemblies and
stud girdle. Manifolds are available in black powder coated, hard
anodized or polished in standard or recirc manifolds.

satisfy all your special exhaust system needs.

Stainless steel “S” pipe is unique in
many ways. These pipes will fit many
pre-existing port locations, and is widely used with swim step applications as

the water inlet goes, the location of the pipe in
relation to which engine and which side. The
flange in this case is a CMI and is properly fixed
to the template. (We can build a pipe only as good as the template.
A small error in the header or manifold end is a huge error at the end

IMCO has spent hours engineering and developing this outstanding product. In testing this product, we have found that the propeller creates a vacuum through the propeller hub and wishbone,
which is adequate for medium speeds, but for top speeds, more
power is required, and better exhaust flow. Sound Advantage
provides better flow, and more power with a touch of a switch
for both big block and small block.
This system is unique because of its simplicity. Unlike other systems created by other manufactures that are either wide open or
closed at all times, Sound Advantage can be opened to any position for any amount of exhaust flow and sound at any time. Our
unique worm gear drive requires a 12-volt supply and an optional switch sold separately. All Sound Advantage systems for

Power steering and Alternator bracket are cast aluminum and
black powder coated. Designed to be used with a stock
Mercruiser dampener pulley, and requires shorter belts, which
increases high RPM reliability. Bolts easily to the block. An
optional tension strap can be run from the alternator to the stud
on the oil pan, or to the sea water pump.

Refused shipments
Shipments returned to IMCO marked refused, C.O.D. not
available, or not in on several attempts, will cause the refusing customer’s buying status to be frozen. No more shipments
will be possible until all freight, C.O.D., and handling charges
are paid in full. Refusal of a shipment does not relieve the
customer of liability for paying these charges. Repeated
returned shipments of this type will cause the customer’s
buying status to be permanently revoked.

OEM/Dealer Requirements
Our policy is to consider allowance of a discount to any
legitimate marine company including boat manufacturers,
boat dealers, performance dealers, marinas, etc. Before
this discount is considered, proof that a company is
actively and gainfully involved in the marine business will

Freight
All orders will be shipped by U.P.S. or best method unless
specified otherwise by customer. All orders will be shipped
F.O.B. San Dimas, CA. Any Claims for shortage of product
to customers must be reported within 48 hours of receipt
of shipment for any adjustment to be considered. Shipment
damage claims must be made directly with the freight
carrier. If you fail to report the damage immediately upon
the delivery, it is more than likely they will refuse the claim.

evaluation proves defects in material or workmanship.
