International Women’s Day Conference 2016 Melbourne 8th March Sydney 10th March Brisbane 15th March ACCELERATE CHANGE Young Professional Women Australia is a community for the next generation of female senior executives and boardroom leaders - professional women under the age of 40. It is a place to connect, collaborate and explore opportunities that educate, inspire, empower and grow individuals and leaders. • • • 31% of women are not clear about what they actually want in context of career goals whilst 24% don’t have the confidence to apply for career progression opportunities. 70% of women believed that career/life sacrifices are necessary in order to achieve their career goals and 25% are not willing to compromise these areas of life in order to achieve their desired career progression. Whilst 70% of women are confident in their ability to do well with all that is required at work only 39% are confident to ask for what they want when it comes to their career. Only 13% of women believe that there are no barriers hindering their career progression.
