This month the Light Department is offering a double discount on your electric bill. In order to receive your double discount, payment must be received in our office by 4:30 PM on Tuesday, January 3, and no discount will be allowed where arrears remain unpaid. The double discount will mean a savings of 12%, or approximately $15 for a residential customer using 750 kWh each month. In addition, RMLP is lowering the Purchase Power Adjustment by $0.01 for December which reflects recent decreases in the fossil fuel market, coupled with flexibility in RMLP’s power supply agreements and comes as RMLP continues to look for opportunities in the power supply market that will help stabilize the fuel charge and manage costs for our customers. This decrease will apply to every customer’s December bill. This decrease will mean a savings of $7.50 for a residential customer using 750 kWh each month. There is potential for our customers to save $22.50 over their total December bill! RMLP customers are reminded to conserve energy to hold down their own energy costs over the winter season. We also encourage everyone to take steps to ensure that they are using energy wisely. For energy savings tips and information about RMLP energy programs, call RMLP’s Energy Hotline at 888‐772‐4242, or visit the RMLP web site at www.rowleylight.com. "With this in mind, we're certainly excited to open the Fund up to all candidates who qualify." Goding added that the Fund has raised more than $16.9 million and assisting over 76,500 needy families since its inception in 1985.
