The PACE concept of labeling provides a common standard for hazard
awareness within the petrochemical industry that addresses the information
requirements under WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information
System). Using a combination of pictographs and text, the PACE label/
tag provides easy-to-use information for the product identifier, WHMIS
symbols and personal protective equipment symbols. The PACE label/tag
also refers users to the relevant product MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
and provides other related information to assist compliance with WHMIS
and other workplace regulations.
The PACE labeling system is easy to use:

• Blackout the WHMIS hazard symbols not associated with hazardous
product identified
• Blackout the PPE (personal protective equipment) symbols not
associated with the proper use/handling of the hazardous product

Letter Size Laser LABELS
ICC The Compliance Center has successfully implemented numerous laser-based labeling
systems. We manufacture both laser paper and laser vinyl labels, which allows you to print
on-demand. Laser printing is both cost-effective and convenient. Minimum order is 100
sheets.
We highly recommend the Lexmark™ brand of laser printers. If using another brand
of printer, please consult your laser printer manual to confirm that vinyl is a suitable
print media, or ask us for some trial samples.
Material Specifications
Outdoor applications: Our premium laser vinyl offers a minimum 2-year outdoor
exposure and is backed with a high-performance acrylic adhesive. This material
also meets the 90-day sea immersion requirement (BS5609) for labeling of
hazardous materials/dangerous goods.

PRINT YOUR OWN LABELS
Multi-Part Specialty Label
The multi-part label shown below is one of many chemical label designs that ICC has created to streamline the labeling
requirements for clients.
This label can be applied to drums, totes, pail and even standard gallon paint cans. It has unique micro perforations that allow
the label to be applied in one piece of separated to accommodate different size containers.
This tab used to print the trade name of the product in large test. Many of our clients remove the tab and apply it to the top of
1 drums for identification when the sides of the drum are not visible.
2 When the top tab is removed,
these center panels can fit on small
containers such as paint cans.

This versatile area is used for a number of
information requirements including lot number,
customer purchase order, expiry dates, bar
coding and other miscellaneous information that
customers may request.
Our premium thermal transfer material offers a minimum of 2 years outdoor exposure and is backed with a high performance
acrylic adhesive. This material also meets the 90-day sea immersion requirements for labeling of hazardous materials shipped
by sea.

The SW-384M wide format thermal transfer label printer
is specifically designed for applications that need to print
high quality wide format thermal transfer labels or signs.
This printer can manage label widths up to 9.5” with a

Ribbons
ICC The Compliance Center offers an extensive line
of thermal transfer ribbons from leading manufacturers to meet application needs. We have ribbons
available for virtually every thermal transfer printer
on the market at competitive prices.
Wax − These
are typically wax-based ribbons that
print well on a variety of coated and some uncoated
paper receivers, as well as some synthetics. Image
durability for these ribbons is acceptable for applications where little physical contact with the printed
image is likely to occur or where image life is short
term (i.e. shipping labels).
Wax / Resins − These are typically wax/resin ribbons
that print well on a variety of coated and synthetic
receivers. Image durability for these ribbons is excellent for applications where physical contact with
the printed image is likely to occur repeatedly. Some
resistance to mild chemicals and cleaners is provided. Typical applications include pharmaceutical and
chemical drum labels.
