The City of Memphis remains steadfast in its commitments to provide available resources and technical support to assist with the overall redevelopment effort and revitalization of our distressed neighborhoods. Since 1995, the City of Memphis has been awarded over $144,000,000 in HOPE VI Program funds alone, leveraged to $375,000,000 to facilitate redevelopment activities at five former public housing sites. In addition to the redevelopment of over 2,200 affordable, public housing, and market rate new and rehabilitated rental and for-sale housing units.
