Tallahassee Area Coalition
Center of Excellence Battles of the Brains
was held on Saturday, February 13, 2016
at Perry Paige Auditorium Florida A&M University
Congratulations SCMS Black Brain Bowl team on their third
consecutive victory in the Leon County competition. Our
students showed a command of the content, while overwhelming their opponents in runaway victories. Of course,
we probably expected nothing less with them being
coached by the formidable Mrs. Florida Dobson. When you
get the opportunity, congratulate these students. Only five
compete at a time, but our alternates were strong supporters of the team.
Daniel Agharahimi Kemaria Brantley Jacari Brown
Diamond Cooper Arielle Ferrell Iyanti Fisher
Rickey Jefferson Christine Lawrence Tendai Mbiza
Samuel Moorehead Tariah Mosley Samuel Omeke
Katelyn Reddick Ahniya Smith Justin Smith
Shaleah Smith Mayanah Williams
It fills me with so much pride to see seventeen students
come together at the beginning of the year and end up
first place winners.
This is representative of the dedication, commitment
and talent that students of SCMS demonstrate every day.
This is our third first - place finish which shows the depth
of our students' ability to process information and to persevere and reach their goals as a team.
