Ready-mix concrete was regularly used as building material throughout the
twentieth century, first mixed in a factory in the thirties and then became
effectively in demand after thirty years. Since that time, the ready-mix concrete
business has continuously grown and became one if the major industry on the
world.
Ready-mix concrete is a mixture of Portland cement, water ,aggregates
(crushed, medium and coarse) and sands concrete that is manufactured in a
batching plant, according to a set recipe, and then delivered to a work site, by
truck mounted in– transit mixers. This results in a precise mixture, allowing
specialty concrete mixtures to be developed and implemented on construction
sites. Bought and sold by volumes, ready mix concrete prices varies relatively
with concrete type and transportation distance, and must be poured within two
hours to hold up to industry standards.
ELKA Ready Mix Concrete (1982) was among the first establishments to
accompany the development of the ready mixed cement industry In Lebanon.
We started to adopt this material as a fundamental pillar in the execution of its
projects, since the work was previously performed by traditional methods
through manual mixers with limited movement capacity.
Located on an industrialized zone in Adonis-Keserwan, with a production
capacity of 130 cubic meter per hour, and recently in Mayrouba-Keserwan,
with a production capacity of 100 cubic meter per hour, RMC has developed a
functional operation system by following Quality Assurance & Quality Control
standards and procedures to serve and deliver the best of our product quality
within a reasonable price and an efficient service.
