Box 1485 Medina, Ohio 44256 EDITOR’S CORNER By Nick Evanoff What a great turn out for the Christmas party, we had 42 pounds of meat and 25 pounds of mashed potatoes and it all went plus all the other goodies that members brought in. Charlie had a good time playing Santa along with his helper Dee. Thank you to all the folks that helped make 2011 Christmas party the biggest we have had in years. I put a video slide show together that is available on line, play it full screen ,here is the link http://www.photoshow.com/watch/NX3nN7fh?language=enu I hope you enjoy it and thanks to John Kahl for sending me some of the photos in the slide show. See you at the meeting. Nick Charlie’s Corner The New Year is here and I hope it will bring peace and prosperity to all. I would like to thank each and every one of our members for attending the biggest and best Christmas party in my memory. Charlie Claus had a great time watching everyone opening their gifts on the hot seat. The photos will be my witness. I hope all had a good time receiving the fish and plants from the door prize raffle. The food was great and seemed to be endless. The cookies and cakes along with the sharing dishes and the smells of Nick’s cooking made the kitchen a place of much interest. I would like to thank all of you for allowing me to return as your president. Hopefully, the club will continue to move forward. I also look forward to working with all of the new and returning board members. Many thanks to the departing board members. A great job was done by all. Now on to the start of the New Year…for openers this month’s meeting will be an old standard with a new twist. Here’s the twist…I’d like to call the meeting “Charlie’s Chili and Chat”. I will bring a pot of chili to the “chat”. Come socialize, eat and have some fun getting better acquainted with your fellow aquarists. If the urge hits you and you are willing…you can add something tasty to the kitchen…for example…cookies, a cake or maybe something good from the stove or fridge. Hope to see you there!! Charlie Suk President MCAS New Award level for BAP program Hello MCAS members....Beginning January 1st, 2012 we are starting a new award for the BAP program. It will be "BAP Breeder of the Year" award. This award will be based on the total amount of spawns an individual turns in for the year. This award at this point is for now only going to apply to the regular BAP program. We would just like to recognize and give credit to the person who goes that extra mile in their attempts at breeding.
