About Suncrest Memorials
More Than A Headstone
Are you looking for a way to honour the memory of your loved one’s life? At Suncrest Memorials, we
aspire to create a memory of your loved one with the attention and care of a friend.
We provide all types of granite headstones, including upright, flat, bevel, and heart shapes, as well
as custom monument designs. We also offer options and services such as vases, porcelain portraits,
bronze markers, CNC diamond etching, installation, monument refinishing and stone carving. We
will make sure you have everything you need to create an outstanding memorial that will honour the
legacy of your family and friends.
Suncrest Memorials has a local manufacturing plant and showroom 60 km east of Grande Prairie
in Debolt, Alberta. We also have sales teams in Hythe and Breton, so we can conveniently serve the
Peace Country of northern Alberta and beyond.

Memorials With Timeless Simplicity

Upright Classic - Uprisght classic monuments are historically the most common style. These include serpentine top,
flat top and oval top in any size you wish. They can be polished on the front, front and back, front back and top or
all 5 sides.
Common sizes are 4, 6 or 8” thick, 24-48” wide and 22-36” high. We regularly order sizes much
larger and smaller than this, please ask us for our sizes that you do not see available.
As with all our memorials we can provide these in any of our available colors.

Styled From Yesterday
USBK-2410
Upright Slant – Upright slant monuments are an old fashioned and enduring style. They are slanted on the front,
usually from 3-4” thick on top and tapering to 6 or 8” thick at the base. They include serpentine top, flat top and
oval top in any size you wish. They can be polished on the front, front and back, front back and top, or all 5 sides.
In some areas a rough rock back is popular.
A common option is to add a rock “nosing” on the front. This is a 1-2” high face that is straight up and down (not
tapered like the rest of the face) and is often finished as a rough rock surface.
Common sizes are 24-48” wide and 22-36” high. We regularly order sizes much larger and smaller than this, please
ask us for sizes you do not see available.

Memorials Celebrating Relationships
DWBK-2413
Double Wing –Double Wing monuments are an impressive way to commemorate the relationship of two lives.
There are 2 common styles, a large center stone with slightly smaller side “wing” stones, or two side “wing” stones joined
in the middle by a horizontal or vertical “plinth” stone. This plinth often has a family name or epitaph on it, and will
sometimes incorporate a vase in it or on top of it.
Common sizes are 20x4x14, 24x4x16, 24x6x18, 24x6x22.

Pillow monuments, or “Bevel,” are longstanding favourites. These commonly feature polished top and rough rock sides.
A polished top, front and back allows for a family name to be inscribed front and back.
Pillow monuments are recommended to have a base and foundation.
Dimensions: Typical sizes for standard bevel monuments are 12” deep, with widths of 20, 24, 30 or 36”.
A 36” wide monument allows for two names on the face.
Thickness: Standard thickness is 6” at the back and 3” in front. A monument designed to hold a family name front and
back (both polished) would be 8” at the back and 5” in front.

CNC diamond etching: We offer this etching service on all our products except open book monuments.
You choose the picture or sketch, and we will imprint it permanently into the stone of your choice.
Colouring is optional and can be done permanently in lettering with a gold inlay, or less permanently
(but with more flexibility and in more cost-effective fashion) with specialized paint.
Installation: Installation is offered in Western Canada at an additional charge on any monument we sell.
Refinishing: Ask us for a quote on refinishing any existing monument.
