The origin of the Royal
Residences of Savoy dates
back to the second half of
1500s, when Emmanuel
Philibert, Duke of Savoy
moved his capital city to
Turin, commissioning the
rehash of ancient castles
and the building of new
residences along the great
green area surrounding the
city. The system of the Royal
Residences reached its period
of grandeur between the
XVII and the XVIII century,
thanks to the establishment
of what Amedeo di
Castellamonte called
Corona di delizie (Crown
of Delights), a particular
system composed by palaces,
vineyards, houses and castles,
royal residences representing
the style and the power
of the Savoy. Among these,
there are: Palazzo Reale,
Villa della Regina,
Castle of Racconigi,
Castle of Rivoli,
Castle of Agliè,
Reggia di Venaria Reale
and the Palazzina
di Caccia of Stupinigi.
“Royal tastings” offers a tour
of some of the residences
composing the Crown
of Delights, from a new
and “tasty” point of view,
involving history and art,
as well as flavours and
fragrances; the guides of
CulturalWay will lead the
visitors in a tour giving them
the opportunity to live the
atmosphere of the royal past,
tasting ancient flavours. The package includes tasting
itineraries of traditional
products that will be
consumed inside the museum
rooms chosen for the tour and
inside some farmsteads and
winehouses as well. There are
two kinds of programs that
visitors can choose: 1 day or
4 days, including the sojourn
in Turin.
1ST DAY:
Tour of Reggia di Venaria;
lunch on-site. In the
afternoon, tour of the
Castle of Rivoli (Museum
of Contemporary art), royal
tea break at the coffee bar
(For the 4 days tour: return
to the hotel for dinner and
overnight).
2ND DAY:
Tour of the Castle of
Racconigi; lunch in a local
restaurant. In the afternoon,
tour of the Palazzina di Caccia
of Stupinigi and tasting
itinerary of characteristic
products. (For the 4 days tour:
return to the hotel for dinner
and overnight).
3RD DAY:
Tour of Villa della Regina,
tasting itinerary in a wine
bar of the structure. In the
afternoon, tour of the wine
cellars and museums annexed
to the building. (For the 4
days tour: return to the hotel
for dinner and overnight).
4TH DAY:
Tour of the Castle of Aglié,
tasting itinerary in a local
wine bar and tour of the
vineyards. In the afternoon,
tour of the Palazzo Reale,
tasting itinerary in a local
winehouse. Return to Turin
to the hotel and end of
services.

• TORINO + PIEMONTE CARD for adults, for 5 days, allowing the entrance to the scheduled
Royal Residences (and other museums and cultural locations);
• Guided tours at the scheduled Royal Residences with a qualified tourist guide in Italian language
for groups of 25 people; for groups of foreign language, there is an extra of € 7,00 p.p.
