Changes
If you know me personally or have read my Corner in the
past, you are keenly aware this is my favorite time of year.
Whether it’s the warm breezes, the boundless outdoor sports
and activities available, getting back on the lakes, or the
great programs that we have in store for you through the Rec
District… What can I say – I love summer!

I could fill every page here about my fondness of the season,
but I did want to share some changes in store for summer.
General Information
Summer Day Camp
The rumors are true, yes, we are running an ALL DAY, ALL
SUMMER DAY CAMP! It runs from June 20 – August 19
from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with extended care running until
6:00 PM. It is activity based, with a different theme every
week to keep it fresh. Your kids will have a BLAST!
School Construction
High school referendum work is in full gear! Besides making
the school more energy efficient and addressing a number
of large maintenance projects, the referendum will affect a
number of spaces that the community uses in the school. The
list of improvements is immense, but a few highlights include
air conditioning in the East Gym, resurfacing the tennis courts,
and a completely renovated auditorium.
Big Foot Community Fine Arts Foundation
I’m very excited to share with you that we are part of the newly
formed Fine Arts Foundation! The Foundation is a non-profit,
501c3 organization that is dedicated to bringing professional
performances, shows and exhibits to the Big Foot community.
We are in the midst of putting together our 2016-2017 season,
to learn more about it or get on the mailing list, please visit
www.bigfootfinearts.org.
I hope you have an outstanding summer!

PHOTO POLICY…..Participants or their parents (if participant is under 18) permit the
taking of photos, audio and videotapes during Recreation District activities for publication and use as the Recreation District deems necessary.
REFUNDS…..We make every effort to expand class size or add classes to accommodate the demand for our programs. If we do not have room in our programs for you, we
will notify you and issue a full refund. All refunds, when requested by the participant
prior to the start of the program, will be assessed a $5.00 processing fee to help offset
costs. Generally, there are no refunds once a program has begun or two weeks prior to a
bus trip. Certain cases require exceptions and will be dealt with on an individual basis.
