For 20 years now, Santa & Cole has lived for industrial design, an art consisting of focussing on everyday objects in
order to seek a better use experience, thereby leading us to
reflect upon material culture.
Desde hace 20 años, Santa & Cole vive por el diseño industrial, un arte consistente en poner atención a los objetos cotidianos para buscar una mejor experiencia de uso, y que
por tanto obliga a una reflexión sobre la cultura material.
Hence, we publish elements of domestic and urban furniture and lighting, trees (which are living matter) and books
(which are likewise alive). A range that is only apparently
disperse, converging upon a single concern: not to accumulate, but rather to select; not to enjoy quantity, but
rather quality.

How to use this technical catalogue / Cómo utilizar este catálogo técnico
This technical catalogue includes all products of Santa & Cole
Lighting and Furniture Divisions, divided in three major sections:
Lighting, Furniture and the Pila Series. To make it easier to find a
product, we have placed at the beginning of every section an unfolded three-page leaflet with the index by product of every collection, where you can see the product page.
The presentation of the different designs follows the pattern
stated in the following example:

Lighting
Iluminación
The key to lighting is knowing how to mix various intensities of light and shadows appropriately. A well-structured
lighting can generate a more welcoming space, richer and
more comforting. Because we are impressed by objects
and faces according to how the light hits them. Because
colours gain or lose ground and space becomes impoverished or enriched, becomes colder or warmer, rises or
falls, is unified or fragmented, influencing the onlooker’s
emotions.
Iluminar no es sino saber mezclar adecuadamente varias
intensidades de luces y sombras. Una iluminación bien
estructurada puede generar un espacio más amable, más
rico y más reconfortante. Porque nos impresionan los
objetos, y los rostros, según cómo se refleje en ellos la
luz. Porque los colores ganan o pierden y el espacio se
empobrece o enriquece, se enfría o calienta, sube o baja,
se unifica o se fragmenta, influyendo en las emociones

There are lamps and light bulbs for all needs: to create
general atmosphere, emphasise virtues or mask defects,
facilitate specific tasks, create a safer environment or turn
shadows into a creative presence. In addition to meeting
different needs, lamps also have considerable presence
when they are off, and therefore, their appearance should
call forth a sense of wellbeing.

One of the secrets to achieving good lighting consists in
not concentrating on lamps as objects in and of themselves, but rather on the surfaces we want to illuminate.
Thus, before moving into a house, it is advisable to consider the type of light that best suits you. Because lamps
provide the source, intensity, texture, warmth and colour
of light.

This timber ages very well, toning down the differences in

an excellent, truly fine finish. It possesses high decorative
value and has been used in furniture-making since antiquity.
De gran dureza y resistencia, se caracteriza por su color
marrón oscuro con matices violáceos. Envejece muy bien,
atenuando las diferencias de color. Es una madera dura,
homogénea y poco porosa. Se trabaja muy bien, dando un

Design Classics and Contemporary Designers, published in conjunction with the ETS of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB), are
monographic studies of design authors whose bodies of work are
points of reference for new generations. The Classics collection
revives the experiences of time-honoured creators of the 20th
century, with the dual purpose of reinforcing a memory at times
in danger of fading, and of proposing critical discussion to spur
new and future contributions within the scope of industrial design, above and beyond trends. The Contemporary collection
brings to light the work of major professional designers still active
today, by presenting different approaches to the act of creating
everyday objects. Each design author we have selected has his

From the design perspective, this monographic study seeks to
evoke and defend the enormous contribution made by Antoni de
Moragas (1913-1985) to the modernisation of Catalonia from
the years following the Spanish Civil War to the explosive 1980s.
His position as a founding member of Grupo R, creator of the
ADI-FAD or president of the FAD all go to show the undeniable
importance of Moragas in the development of Catalan architecture, urban planning and design.

Santiago Roqueta (1944-2005) was, above all, an indispensable

mere fact of placing an order with S&C shall make these terms of sale fully binding for both parties.
even if S&C makes the shipping arrangements and discounts all or part of
the costs of shipping from the costs of the merchandise, ,this shall at no
time mean the foregoing paragraphs are annulled or otherwise invalid, nor
that S&C tacitly or expressly accepts the costs and risks derived from

1. WRITTEN ORDERS
Orders shall always be placed in writing (ordinary mail, electronic mail,
fax or telegram) giving the following information:
–Valuation of the products ordered.
–In the case of upholstered products, reference code for the fabric
selected.
Unless the client explicitly specifies the transport company to be used,
S&C shall ship the order via the transport company it feels best equipped
to make the delivery.
S&C reserves the right to not sell to certain outlets due to its commercial
policy and the agreements maintained with its registered distributors.
2. CANCELLATION OF ORDERS BY CLIENTS
Orders accepted can not be cancelled by the client who placed them in
the following cases:
–When the product has already been shipped.
–When work on custom-made items has already begun.
3. TERMS OF SALE
S&C has different commercial policies for each product line (urban furniture, interior lighting and interior furniture). For detailed information about
these terms, consult the commercial department.
4. TECHNICAL CATALOGUE
Information provided as regards models, measurements, characteristics
and, technical specifications does not oblige S&C to maintain these features indefinitely and they may be changed without advance notification.
In case of doubt, ask for confirmation by telephone or in writing.
5. PRICE LIST
This price list renders all former price lists invalid, and may be changed
without advance notice. VAT is not included.
6. QUALITY GUARANTEE
All S&C products have two years guarantee covering any manufacturing
defect, providing that the defect is not caused by incorrect installation or
use. The guarantee includes replacement of the damaged material plus
shipping costs. The client shall be liable for any other costs or special
packaging made necessary by this replacement.
7. TRANSPORT AND DELIVERY
All merchandise sold shall be available to the client at S&C headquarters
in Cardedeu (Barcelona). The buyer shall be responsible for all damages
and wear and tear that may affect the merchandise from the moment it is
turned over to the transport company.

that the merchandise has been correctly received, S&C shall not be responsible for expenses derived from incidents directly attributable to the
transport company. Any such incident shall be clearly stated on the transport company’s delivery note.
In recognition of the jurisdiction of the Courts of Barcelona, the buyer
shall always be liable for shipping costs (C.O.D. or included in the invoice)

8. SPECIAL PACKING
In the event the merchandise requires special packaging (of wood or other
materials) the cost will be charged separately.
9. CLAIMS
The client shall be entitled to complain to S&C should the quantity or
quality of the merchandise received be incorrect, so long as he takes action within two months of having received the merchandise, as stipulated
by the legislation currently in force.
10. RETURNS
No returns shall be accepted without express written consent.
11. TERMS OF PAYMENT
Payment of the total price of the merchandise should be made in cash
through transfer to the account listed on S&C's pro-forma invoice.
Clients who wish to take a longer time to pay shall have a credit ceiling
assigned by S&C. This option shall be specific for each client.
Failure to meet the dates of payment agreed upon shall cause automatic
cancellation of credit, and the client must therefore pay all amounts outstanding.
12. PROPERTY OF THE PRODUCTS
All merchandise shall continue to be the property of S&C until such time
as full payment is made.
13. DEFENSE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All designs included in the S&C catalogue are protected by both national
and international copyright laws. Any unauthorised use of these designs
shall constitute unlawful use of these laws shall be punished according to
the criminal laws.
Consequently, all, manufacturing, installation, reproduction, translation of
the aforementioned designs is strictly forbidden as is any act related
thereto without prior written notice to the copyright holders.
S&C holds the copyright of all its trademarks. It is therefore totally forbidden to use these trademarks without prior written permission from S&C.
Failure to fulfil this obligation and the consequent breach of copyright will
result in civil and, if warranted, criminal prosecution in accordance with
the national and international copyright laws currently in force.
14. JURISDICTION
Both parties expressly waive recourse to their local courts and expressly
submit to the Courts of Barcelona (Spain).
Condiciones generales de venta
Toda relación comercial entre Santa & Cole Ediciones de Diseño S.A.
(S&C, en lo sucesivo), y sus clientes se regirá por las siguientes
Condiciones Generales de Venta que regularán la compraventa mercantil
y se entenderán como plenamente vinculantes para ambas partes por el
mero hecho de formalizar un pedido a S&C.
1. PEDIDOS POR ESCRITO
Deberán realizarse siempre por algún medio escrito (correo ordinario, correo electrónico, fax o telegrama) indicando:
–Código y cantidad de los productos solicitados.
–Valoración de tales productos.
–En caso de productos de tapicería, referencia de la tela seleccionada.
S&C se reserva el derecho a no vender a determinados puntos de venta en
función de su política comercial y de los acuerdos comerciales que mantenga con sus Distribuidores registrados.
2. ANULACION DE PEDIDOS POR EL CLIENTE
Los pedidos aceptados no podrán ser anulados por el cliente que los solicitó en los casos siguientes:
–Cuando se haya efectuado la expedición del producto.
–Cuando, tratándose de materiales de producción especial, ésta hubiera ya comenzado.
3. CONDICIONES COMERCIALES
S&C mantiene diferentes políticas comerciales por línea de producto (elementos urbanos, iluminación interior y mobiliario interior). Para el conocimiento de las mismas es preciso consultar con el Departamento
Comercial.
4. CATÁLOGO TÉCNICO
La información que a título orientativo facilitamos referente a modelos, dimensiones, características y especificaciones técnicas, no obliga a S&C a
mantenerla indefinidamente, y puede ser modificada sin previo aviso. En
caso de dudas, solicite una ratificación telefónica o escrita.
5. TARIFA SIN IVA
Esta Tarifa anula cualesquiera otras anteriores y podrá ser modificada sin
previo aviso. En los precios no está incluido el IVA aplicable en España
(4% en libros y 16% en el resto).
6. GARANTÍA DE CALIDAD
Todos los productos de S&C están garantizados durante dos años contra
cualquier defecto imputable a la fabricación, siempre y cuando dicho defecto no sobrevenga por una inadecuada instalación o utilización. La garantía
cubre la reposición del material y los portes, y serán por cuenta del cliente
los gastos o embalajes especiales que dicha reposición pudiese generar.
7. TRANSPORTE Y ENTREGA
Toda mercancía vendida se entiende a disposición del cliente en los almacenes de S&C en Cardedeu (Barcelona), siendo a cargo del comprador los
daños y menoscabos que sobrevinieren a las mercancías desde el momento de la entrega al transportista.
En el caso de que el cliente acepte en el albarán del transportista la correcta recepción de la mercancía, S&C no se hace responsable de los gastos derivados de incidencias directamente imputables al transporte. Toda
incidencia debe constar con claridad en el albarán de entrega del transportista.
Con miras a defender la competencia territorial de los Juzgados y
Tribunales de la ciudad de Barcelona (España), los portes de la mercancía
serán siempre por cuenta y riesgo del comprador (portes debidos o incluidos en factura). Incluso si S&C contrata el transporte, y aunque bonifique
al cliente en todo o en parte su importe mediante descuentos comerciales
en el precio de las mercancías, ello no significa en ningún caso menosca-

bo o derogación de los párrafos precedentes, ni la aceptación tácita o expresa de la cuenta o de los riesgos derivados del transporte.
Si no se comunica explícitamente la agencia de transportes deseada por
el cliente, S&C remitirá el pedido con los productos solicitados por aquella
otra agencia transportista que le parezca más oportuna para el buen fin
del envío.
8. EMBALAJES ESPECIALES
Caso de que se precise un embalaje especial (de madera u otros), se cargará aparte el precio correspondiente.
9. RECLAMACIONES
El cliente tendrá derecho a reclamar contra S&C, por defecto en la cantidad o calidad de las mercancías recibidas, siempre que ejercite su acción
dentro de los dos meses siguientes a su recepción, de conformidad con la
legislación vigente.
10. DEVOLUCIONES DE PRODUCTO
No se admitirán, salvo expreso consentimiento escrito de S&C.
11. CONDICIONES DE PAGO
El pago del total precio de nuestras mercancías deberá realizarse al contado mediante transferencia bancaria en la cuenta que S&C determine en su
factura proforma.
Para poder acogerse a un aplazamiento en el pago es necesaria la asignación de un límite de crédito por parte de S&C. Estas opciones serán específicas para cada cliente.
El retraso sobre las fechas de pago convenidas produce la cancelación automática del límite de crédito, y, por tanto, deberán abonarse la totalidad
de las cantidades pendientes.
12. PROPIEDAD DE LOS PRODUCTOS
Continuará siendo propiedad de S&C toda mercancía que no esté totalmente pagada.
13. DEFENSA PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL
Los diseños de los productos obrantes en los catálogos de S&C así como
tales catálogos en si mismos están protegidos por las Leyes y Tratados nacionales e internacionales sobre Propiedad Intelectual e Industrial.
Cualquier utilización no autorizada de los mismos constituye una vulneración de las referidas normas, así como un delito que podrá ser castigado
de acuerdo con las leyes penales.
En consecuencia queda estrictamente prohibida la fabricación, fijación,
reproducción, traducción, distribución, comunicación pública, puesta a
disposición del público y/o transformación total o parcial de dichos diseños y/o de los catálogos, así como cualquier otro acto de explotación en
relación con los mismos, sin permiso previo, expreso y por escrito de los
titulares de derechos.
S&C ostenta la titularidad de los derechos sobre sus marcas. En consecuencia queda totalmente prohibido su uso, sin el correspondiente permiso previo, expreso, y por escrito de S&C.
El incumplimiento de dicha obligación y la consiguiente infracción de los
derechos de marca conllevará la persecución civil y, en su caso, penal, de
tales infracciones, de acuerdo con la Leyes y Tratados nacionales e internacionales en vigor.
14. JURISDICCIÓN
Ambas partes, con expresa renuncia de su propio Fuero, se someten expresamente a la competencia de los Tribunales y Juzgados de la ciudad
de Barcelona (España).
