BUFFALO ROD & GUN CLUB
HI TROOPS!!
IT'S TIME TO GET BACK TO REALITY - - THE FAT GUY IS GONE FOR ANOTHER
YEAR, AND THINGS ARE RETURNING TO NORMAL AGAIN (THANK GOD).
WHICH MEANS THAT IT'S TIME FOR A MEETING. THE DATE FOR THAT IS
JANUARY 16 th, AT
8:30 P.M.
BY THE WAY - - EXCUSE ME FOR THE WAY THIS RAG LOOKS - - I'M ON A NEW
COMPUTER, AND I HAVEN'T MOVED STUFF OFF MY OLD ONE TO THIS ONE
YET, SO I HAD TO GO WITH MY VERY LIMITED COMPUTER SKILLS. ANYHOO
__ BEAR WITH ME - - - WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS, SOMEHOW - - - TRUST ME.
I HAVE SOME INFORMATION ON THIS YEAR'S DEER TAKE, WHICH I
WILL PASS
ALONG TO YOU. PAY ATTENTION, NOW - - - HERE IT COMES - - - MARTY
WIESNER
GOT A SEVEN POINT BUCK - I'M NOT SURE WHERE HE GOT IT - HE
DIDN'T TELL ME THAT. RICK TARTICK GOT AN EIGHT POINTER, AND A
DOE . (AGAIN, I DON'T KNOW WHERE). NINO CONTE GOT A FOUR
POINTER (SOMEWHERE), AND TIM
MURPHY GOT A BUTTON BUCK, ALONG WITH AN EIGHT POINTER ,
WHICH HE
GOT WITH HIS BOW (JUST OUTSIDE THE CABIN), AFTER A MASTERFUL
PLAN OF
SKILLFUL HUNTING WHICH CONSISTED OF SLEEPING IN, RUSHING
OUTSIDE HALF DRESSED, EXPERTLY STALKING, AND STRATIGICALLY
POSITIONING HIMSELF IN A PERFECT SPOT, SO WHEN THE DEER
WALKED RIGHT PAST HIM, HE NAILED IT. THAT'S ALL THE SCOOP ON
THE DEER TAKE. I HOPE THE INFO IS ACCURATE - - -IT'S WHAT I HEARD,
ANYWAY. IF THERE ARE ANY FALSE REPORTS, OR ANY MISINFORMATION
OF ANY KIND, I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT. I ALSO APOLOGIZE FOR THE
WAY THIS RAG IS TURNING OUT - - - THINGS WILL GET BETTER, I
PROMISE.
WELL, TROOPS, THAT JUST ABOUT DOES IT FOR THIS MONTH. COME TO
THE MEETING THURSDAY, AND TAKE PART IN YOUR CLUB'S ACTIVITIES.
STAY HEALTHY, TROOPS--- HOPE TO SEE YA' THURSDAY.

HI TROOPS!
IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN- - - - FEBRUARY 201h - AT THE PUB - 8:30 P.M. GOT THAT? GOOD! I HOPE I
CAN GET THROUGH THIS WITHOUT ANY MORE PROBLEMS ( I'M STILL HAVIN' DIFFICULTIES WITH MY
P.C. )
ANYHOO - - -LETS GET ON WITH IT, SHALL WE ?? FIRST, I'D LIKE TO WISH ARCHIE GRUPP A
SPEEDY RECOVERY ON HIS HIP REPLACEMENT. LAST TIME I SAW HIM, HE WAS IN GOOD SPIRITS ,
AND SEEMED TO BE DOING PRETTY WELL LETS HOPE HE FEELS WELL ENOUGH TO MAKE THE
MEETING . ( SOMEHOW THE MEETINGS DON'T SEEM THE SAME WHEN HE'S NOT THERE)
KEN MOSER TOLD US AT LAST MONTH'S MEETING THAT THE SIXTY ACRES OF LAND WE WERE
THINKING OF BUYING HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD , BUT HE 'S PRETTY SURE THAT WE WILL STILL
BE ABLE TO HUNT ON IT.
BY THE WAY - - - BEFORE I GET TOO FAR INTO THIS , THE ANNUAL FOX HUNT WILL BE HELD
UP AT THE CABIN ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15 th. I SINCERELY HOPE THAT YOU ALL GET THIS
RAG BEFORE THAT DATE . AS THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ATTENDED THIS YEARLY
EXTRAVAGANZA ALREADY KNOW, THIS EVENT IS BY FAR THE MOST EXCITING, THE MOST
THRILLING, THE MOST IMPORTANT CLUB FUNCTION EVER HELD BY OUR CLUB . NOTHING ELSE
EVEN COMES CLOSE BY COMPARISION - TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, TROOPS - THIS IS ONE EVENT
YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS.
IF ANYONE IS INTRESTED IN PURCHASING CAPS, SHIRTS,SWEATSHIRTS,JACKETS, OR
ANYTHING ELSE WITH THE CLUB LOGO ON IT, COME TO THE MEETING, AND VOICE YOUR
OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS. IF ENOUGH INTREST IS SHOWN , THINGS MAY BE ORDERED.
A DISCUSSION WAS HELD AT LAST MONTH'S MEETING CONCERNING THE INSTALLATION OF A
SWINGING GATE AT THE CAMP DRIVEWAY ENTRY. A VOTE WAS TAKEN, AND IT WAS DECIDED TO
INSTALL A GATE . I ASSUME THIS WILL BE DONE SOMETIME THIS SUMMER. IT WAS ALSO DECIDED
TO HAVE THE SAME KEY TO UNLOCK THE GATE AND THE CABIN . MORE ON THIS AT THE
MEETING.
I'VE BEEN ASKED BY OUR FEARLESS LEADER , DAVE RACZKA, TO INSERT THIS MENTION
CONCERNING PAST MEMBERS. ONCE A MEMBER IS DROPPED FROM THE CLUB FOR NOT PAYING
DUES, OR WHATEVER REASON, HE IS NO LONGER WELCOME AT THE CAMPGROUNDS AS A
GUEST OF SOMEONE ELSE.THE GUEST PRIVLlGES ARE FOR PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS,NOT
FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS ALREADY PROVEN HIMSELF AS SOMEONE WHO REALLY WASN'T THAT
INTRESTED IN THE CLUB. WE DON'T NEED ANY FREELOADERS, TROOPS. 'NUFF SAID ABOUT
THAT, I GUESS .
THAT'S ABOUT ALL I HAVE FOR YOU THIS MONTH. HOPEFULLY YOU WILL GET THIS BEFORE
THE FIFTEENTH . HEY!!!! I ALMOST FORGOT - - - START THINKIN' ABOUT THIS YEARS DUES - - -
JUNE WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. (YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA GET AWAY WITH
SOMETHING, HUH ??? NOT A CHANCE, TROOPS!)
SEE YA ON THE zo" STAY HEALTHY.

HI TROOPS !
WE'VE GOT ANOTHER MEETING COMIN' UP - - - - THURSDAY , MARCH
SO DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO TO GET YOUR BUTTS THERE.
zo" . YOU
KNOW WHERE,
THE ANNUAL B.R.G.C. FOXHUNT , HELD ON FEBRUARY 15 th ,WAS A HUGE SUCCESS AGAIN
THIS YEAR (AS IT IS YEAR AFTER YEAR) . ONE NEEDS ONLY TO VISIT THE CLUB'S WEBSITE ,
AND CHECK OUT THE PICTURE FOUND THERE TO SEE FOR ONE'S SELF THAT THE FOXHUNT
WAS INDEED THE SPORTING EVENT OF THE YEAR (IF NOT THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE
CLUB ITSELF) THAT SINGLE PICTURE SAYS IT ALL , TROOPS . THERE ARE NO WORDS THAT
COULD FURTHUR EXPLAIN THE IMMENSE IMPACT OF THIS ANNUAL EVENT UPON THE ENTIRE
SPORTING WORLD. I r PERSONALLY , WOULD NOT BE THE LEAST BIT SURPRISED IF OUR CLUB
WERE TO BE AWARDED SOME KIND OF MEDAL, OR TESTIMONIAL FOR PUTTING ON SUCH AN
AWE - INSPIRING EVENT EACH AND EVERY YEAR . HEY! YOU NEVER KNOW - - - - IT COULD
HAPPEN Iii
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WISH TO SEND A SON OR DAUGHTER TO CAMP RUSHFORD THIS
SUMMER , BE SURE TO SUBMIT THEIR NAMES AT THIS MONTH'S MEETING . AS MOST OF YOU
ALREADY KNOW, ( BUT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW ) IN ORDER TO SEND A SON
OR DAUGHTER TO CAMP , YOU MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING FOR A MINIMUM ONE
YEAR - - - THAT MEANS BEING CURRENT WITH YOUR DUES. AND HAVING NO OUTSTANDING
ASSESSMENTS . ASIDE FROM THOSE TWO LITTLE ITEMS . FEEL FREE TO GO FOR IT - - - WHAT
HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE ????
MOVING RIGHT ALONG - - - THE FIRST WORKPARTY OF THE YEAR WILL BE HELD ON
SATURDAY, APRIL 26 th . I REALIZE THAT'S MORE THAN A MONTH AWAY , BUT TELLING YOU
ABOUT IT NOW GIVES YOU PLENTY OF TIME TO GET ON THE WIFE 'S GOOD SIDE, SO SHE'LL
LET YOU OUT THAT DAY. (YOU FIGURE OUT HOW TO BUTTER HER UP YOURSELF)
ANYHOO , THAT'S THE DATE FOR THE FIRST OF THE WORKDAYS THIS YEAR . I DON'T HAVE THE
DATES FOR THE REST OF THEM AS YET THEY WILL PROBABLY BE DECIDED ON AT THE
MEETING THURSDAY . I ALSO DON'T KNOW JUST WHAT JOBS ARE SCHEDULED FOR THIS WORK
DAY - - - - THAT WILL ALSO MOST LIKELY BE DETERMINED AT THE MEETING.
IT WAS DISCUSSED, AND VOTED UPON. TO PRESENT THE CLUB PRESIDENT, AND HIS
SPOUSE; (ALONG WITH THE CLUB DELEGATE , AND HIS SPOUSE) COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS TO
THE ERIE COUNTY FEDERATION OF SPORTSMEN'S BANQUET THIS IS A YEARLY EVENT, AND
THE CLUB WILL ABSORB THE COST OF THESE TICKETS EACH YEAR . THIS WAS A PRACTICE OF
THE CLUB FOR YEARS, BUT SOMEHOW HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED IN RECENT YEARS. IT WILL
NOW CONTINUE AS BEFORE. THE DATE FOR THIS YEAR'S BANQUET IS MARCH i " . ?????????
I CERTAINLY HOPE THE TICKETS HAVE ALREADY BEEN AWARDED iI !
I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PERSONAL REQUEST TO ALL OF YOU WHO ATTEND MEETINGS .
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SIGN YOUR NAME IN THE SIGN-UP SHEET , WHICH IS EITHER ON THE
BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S TABLE , OR PASSED AROUND THE ROOM . I WANT TO BEGIN KEEPING A
RECORD OF HOW MANY BODIES SHOW UP AT MEETINGS. I WILL INCLUDE THIS INFORMATION IN
FUTURE LETTERS ( NO NAMES . ONLY NUMBERS) YOUR CO-OPERATION WILL BE
GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THAT JUST ABOUT COVERS THINGS FOR THIS MONTH, TROOPS I STAY HEALTHY, AN' START
BUTTERING UP THE MISSUS FOR THE WORKPARTY NEXT MONTH (AND THE MEETING THIS
MONTH) SEE YA' THURSDAY, HOPEFULLY.

HI TROOPS'
ANOTHER MONTH HAS GONE BY - - WHICH MEANS ANOTHER MEETING IS COMING UP. AS
STATED ABOVE , THE MEETING IS ON APRIL SEVENTEENTH . YOUR ATTENDANCE IS REQUESTED , AS IT
IS EVERY MONTH . PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BE THERE . I AM HAPPY TO REPORT THAT WE
HAD TWENTY WARM BODIES IN ATTENDANCE AT THE MARCH MEETING . THAT'S PRETTY GOOD ,
CONSIDERING THAT TWENTY WARM BODIES MAKES UP NEARLY HALF OF THE ENTIRE CLUB'S
MEMBERSHIP LIST. I IT WOULD DO THIS OLD HEART GOOD TO SEE MORE TURNOUTS LIKE THIS.GIVE IT
A SHOT, TROOPS - - -IT'S YOUR CLUB - - - TAKE AN INTREST IN IT.
WE GOT OURSELVES A NEW MEMBER AS OF LAST MONTH . "W ELCOME TO THE CLUB" TO LEO
BECKER , OF BOWMANSVILLE. GLAD TO HAVE YA' WITH US, LEO !!' I HOPE THE CLUB MEETS YOUR
EXPECTATIONS , AN' I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR MEMBERSHIP .
SINCE THERE WERE NO OTHER NAMES SUBMITTED LAST MONTH FOR CAMP RUSHFORD , MARTY
WIESNER'S SON WILL BE GOING TO CAMP AGAIN THIS YEAR .
LAST MONTH I SAID THAT THE WORKPARTY DATES WOULD BE SET FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR ,
AND THAT THE WORK TO BE DONE AT THIS MONTH 'S WORKPARTY WOULD BE MADE AVAILABLE .
GUESS WHAT ??? THAT NEVER HAPPENED. THE REASON FOR THAT WAS BECAUSE OUR CAMP
CHAIRMAN COULDN 'T MAKE THE MEETING , DUE TO HIS WORK, SO THE INFORMATION WAS NOT
PASSED ALONG . I'M HOPING THIS MONTH WILL BE DIFFERENT, AN' MORE INFORMATIVE .
SPEAKING OF WORKPARTIES, I REMIND YOU THAT THE FIRST ONE OF THE YEAR IS COMING UP
THIS MONTH - - - SATURDAY , APRIL26lh . AS USUAL , THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE LUNCH AND
BEVERAGES. BRING WHATEVER TOOLS YOU CAN, ALONG WITH WORKGLOVES AND AMBITION . I
ASSUME THAT BY NOW YOU HAVE ALL BUTTERED UP YOUR RESPECTIVE WIVES OR GIRLFRIENDS,
AND HAVE YOUR PASSES , SO YOU CAN ATTEND THE WORKPARTY.IF NOT, THERE 'S STILL TIME - - MAY
I SUGGEST PLEADING AND GROVELING?? IF THAT FAILS, JUST MAKE A LAST MINUTE DESPERATE
DASH FOR THE CAR, AN' LAY SOME RUBBER . I MEAN STOMP THAT GAS PEDAL THROUGH THE
FLOORBOARDS, TROOPS !!! AND DON'T LOOK BACK, WHATEVER YOU DO - - - SHE MIGHT BE GAINING
ON YOU. ( IF YOU CHOOSE TO TRY THIS OPTION , YOU ARE ENTIRELY ON YOUR OWN - - - I CAN'T HELP
YOU IF SHE CATCHES UP TO YOU. YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO TAKE YOUR LUMPS.) GOOD LUCK TO YOU
ALL.
ONCE AGAIN YOU HAVE ASSUMED CORRECTLY - - - I HAVEN'T GOT A LOT OF NEWS FOR YA' THIS
MONTH . I PASS ON WHAT I'VE GOT TO GIVE YOU, AN' THEN FIND THAT I'VE STILL GOT BETTER THAN
HALF A SHEET OF BARE WHITE PAPER GLARING BACK AT ME , SO I BABBLE ON ABOUT SOMETHING
OR OTHER JUST TO FILL UP THE PAPER. I ASK YOU NOW - - - IS THAT REALLY SO BAD ??? IS IT ???
WHAT THE HELL ELSE CAN I DO, TROOPS??? TELL ME !I! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM ME???
GOD KNOWS I'M TRYING!!! ( BE PATIENT NOW - - - ONE OR TWO MORE LINES SHOULD JUST ABOUT DO
IT) I'M ONLY HUMAN , YOU KNOW - - - THERE 'S ONLY SO MUCH A PERSON CAN DO, FOR CHRISSAKE .
I'M DOIN' THE BEST THAT I CAN. CAN'T YOU SEE THAT ???? OH GOD, GIVE ME STRENGTH , PLEASE !!
I THINK THAT HELPED CONSIDERABLY, TROOPS . THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND
UNDERSTANDING .
WE MADE IT TO THE BOTTOM, AT LAST I!!
STAY HEALTHY , TROOPS ! SEE YA AT THE MEETING THURSDAY , I HOPE !

HI AGAIN ,TROOPS - - - IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER MEETING . QUIT COMPLAINING - - WE ONLY
HAVE THIS ONE, AN' NEXT MONTH 'S - - - THEN YOU GET TWO MONTHS OFF TO DO WHAT YOU
WANT TO DO AN' TO GO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO. IN THE MEANTIME , BEAR WITH ME FOR TWO
MORE MEETINGS , ALLRIGHT??? WE HAD TWENTY ONE MEMBERS AT LAST MONTH'S MEETING -
THAT'S ONE MORE THAN THE MONTH BEFORE. LETS HOPE THE GOOD ATTENDANCE CAN
CONTINUE FOR TWO MORE MONTHS .
FIRST OF ALL, I'D LIKE TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO DON KELKER , WHO WILL BE OUT ON SICK
LEAVE FOR AWHILE . HE IS TO HAVE SURGERY SOON . THE WHOLE CLUB WISHES YOU WELL ,
DON, AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU BACK AGAIN SOON . IN THE MEANTIME, BEHAVE YOURSELF,
AND LISTEN TO THE DOCTORS AND THE MISSUS.
UNTIL DON GETS BACK ON HIS FEET, IF ANY OF YOU WANT TO MAIL IN YOUR DUES, SEND
THEM TO : MARK ZALLER AT 5034 DAISY LANE - RT. SIDE
BLASDELL , N.Y. 14219
THIS WAY DON WON 'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEM.
YOU ALL KNOW YOU ONLY HAVE THIS MONTH AND NEXT MONTH TO GET YOUR DUES PAID IN
FULL , DON'T YOU??? SURE YOU DO!!! YOU ALSO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FAIL TO DO THAT ,
DON'T YOU?? ? YOU BET YER BIPPIE - - - YOU BECOME A FOND MEMORY OF THOSE WHO DID
PAY THEIR DUES ON TIME. 'NUFF SAID ON THAT SUBJECT.
MARTY WIESNER'S SON WON 'T BE GOING TO CAMP RUSHFORD THIS YEAR AFTER ALL. WE
MISSED THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMIHING NAMES,SO NO ONE IS GOING THIS YEAR - - - POSSIBLY
TWO WILL BE SENT NEXT YEAR .
TH
THE APRIL 26 WORKPARTY AT THE CABIN HAD A PRETTY GOOD TURNOUT. A LOT OF BRUSH
WAS CLEARED AND BURNED , SOME FLOWERS AND CACTUS WERE PLANTED ON THE BERM OF
THE RIFLE RANGE, AN EIGHT FOOT BY TEN FOOT RAFT WAS BUILT, AND PLACED IN THE POND.
ROCKS WERE ALSO CLEARED FROM AROUND THE POND, AND THE WHOLE AREA WAS
RESEEDED AGAIN . ALL IN ALL , THE PLACE IS STARTING TO LOOK PRETTY DURN GOOD. THE
POND WILL BE STOCKED WITH PERCH , AND BASS FINGERLINGS SOMETIME IN JUNE . FIFTY
RAINBOW TROUT WERE PUT IN THE DAY AFTER THE WORKPARTY. AS FAR AS I KNOW , THE POND
IS NOT READY FOR FISHING AS YET .MORE INFO ON THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE MEETING.

PERSONALLY, I THINK IT'S BETTER TO SHOW UP FOR A WORKDAY, BUT YOU DECIDE FOR
YOURSELVES WHICH IS BETTER FOR YOU. ALL I'M DOIN' IS REMINDING YOU OF WHAT'S
EXPECTED OF YOU, AND THAT YOUR DUES ARE DUE. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL THEM "DUES",
DON'TCHA KNOW .
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE CLUB'S WEBSITE - - - -THERE'S A LOT OF INFORMATION ON

HI TROOPS! !
IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN - - - THIS IS THE LAST MEETING UNTIL SEPTEMBER, SO TRY TO
GET YOUR WARM BODY THERE. THERE 'S A LOT OF IMPORTANT BUSINESS TO TAKE CARE OF
BEFORE THE SUMMER BREAK , SO IT MIGHT BE IN YOUR BEST INTREST TO SHOW UP. WE HAD
SEVENTEEN MEMBERS AT THE MAY MEETING - - - THERE SHOULD BE MORE THIS MONTH.
AS YOU ALL KNOW , THIS IS THE MONTH TO HAVE YOUR DUES PAID UP IN FULL FOR THE
CURRENT YEAR. I DON'T KNOW WHO IS PAID UP, AND WHO ISN'T, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW IF
YOU'RE PAID UP OR NOT, SO I'M JUST GONNA GIVE ONE LAST REMINDER - - A GENERAL,
ACROSS THE BOARD REMINDER TO ALL MEMBERS - - - - MAKE SURE YOU'RE PAID UP BY THE
END OF THIS MEETING , OR YOU'RE GONNA BE DROPPED FROM THE CLUB. THAT'S A COLD, HARD
FACT OF LIFE, MY FRIENDS . END OF THAT SUBJECT.
FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT AT LAST MONTH 'S MEETING , A SAD NEWS ITEM. DAN
ZILBAUER SENT IN A LETTER OF RESIGNATION FROM THE CLUB.HE RESIGNED ON GOOD TERMS.
HE JUST HAS TOO MUCH GOING ON RIGHT NOW, AND DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO SEE TO
ALL OF HIS COMMITMENTS AND STAY ACTIVE IN THE CLUB TOO . WE WILL MISS HIM. I FAILED TO
NOTE THIS IN THE MINUTES OF LAST MONTH'S MEETING , AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT
OVERSIGHT.
I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE - -I CALLED DON KELKER AND SPOKE WITH HIM FOR FIVE
OR TEN MINUTES . HE IS SLOWLY GETTING BETTER - - TOO SLOWLY, ACCORDING TO DON. HE
IS GETTING IMPATIENT WITH THE HEALING PROCESS - - HE WANTS TO DO THINGS IN HIS
GARDEN , AND HE'S STILL NOT UP TO PAR , ENERGYWISE. HE SAYS HE'S ALWAYS TIRED ( I
WONDER WHY??? ) HE ASKED ME TO PASS THIS ON TO THE MEMBERSHIP - - - IF YOU EVER
NEED MAJOR SURGERY FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER - - - - - JUST SAY NO !!! - - - UNLESS OF
COURSE YOU DON'T MIND LETTING NATURE TAKE IT'S COURSE IN THE RECOVERY TIME NEEDED
TO RECOUPERATE FROM SAID SURGERY. PATIENCE, DONALD, PATIENCE - - - JUST SIT IT OUT
FOR AWHILE - - THE GARDEN ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE . JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T , EITHER .
SINCE THERE ARE NO MEETINGS IN JULY AND AUGUST, I 'LL REMIND YOU OF A COUPLE
ST
OF DATES . THE SECOND WORKPARTY AT THE CABIN WILL BE HELD SATURDAY , JUNE 21 .THIS
IS JUST TWO DAYS AFTER THE MEETING, SO THAT SHOULDN'T BE TOO HARD TO REMEMBER .
TH
THE NEXT ONES ARE A BIT TOUGHER - - - -SATURDAY, JULY 19TH , AND SUNDAY, JULY 20 ARE
THE DAYS FOR THE FAMILY PICNIC , AND THE CLUB SHOOT WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY ,
RO
AUGUST 23 . KEEP THOSE DATES IN MIND,TROOPS. BY THE WAY - - - BOB RACZKA NEEDS TO
KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND THE FAMILY PICNIC , AND HOW MANY KIDS
YOU'RE BRINGING - - HOW MANY BOYS, HOW MANY GIRLS, AND THEIR AGES. HE NEEDS THIS
INFORMATION , SO HE CAN PLAN HIS SHOPPING ACCORDINGLY .HE WOULD APPRECIATE IT VERY
MUCH IF YOU ALL COULD SIGN UP WITH HIM AT THIS MEETING.
BASS AND PERCH FINGERLINGS WILL BE INTRODUCED INTO THE POND SOMETIME
DURING THE MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST. AS FAR AS I KNOW, FISHING THE POND IS STILL
NOT PERMITTED. MORE INFORMATION ON THIS WILL BE FORTHCOMING AT THE MEETING .
THAT JUST ABOUT DOES IT FOR NOW,TROOPS. DAVE RACZKA HAS SOME STUFF FOR
YA' , TOO , SO READ ON.
IN THE MEANTIME, STAY HEALTHY , AN' WE 'LL SEE YA' AT THE MEETING ,
J RIGHT?? )

NOW - - - I DON 'T KNOW IF IT IS OR NOT. I'M SURE WE 'LL ALL GET A REPORT ON THE SUBJECT AT
THE MEETING , THOUGH. (THERE 'S ANOTHER GOOD REASON TO COME TO THE MEETING) I
ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THAT WHILE ALL THE BUILDING WAS GOING ON, I WAS PLAYIN' IN
THE POND. THE GUYS DIDN'T SEEM TO NEED ANY HELP - -THEY WERE DOIN' JUST FINE ON
THEIR OWN - -, SO I DID A LITTLE FISHING - - - CAUGHT A COUPLE TROUT, ABOUT TEN INCHES OR
SO LONG , AND ABOUT SIX OR EIGH T FUNNY - LOOK IN' THINGS . I'M NOT SURE WHAT THEY WERE ,
BUT THEY MIGHT HAVE BEEN CALICOS - - I DON'T KNOW. THE SHADOW PROBABLY KNOWS - -
THAT "MOTHER" KNOWS EVERYTHING !! THE PLACE LOOKED PRETTY GOOD . I HEARD THAT BOB
RACZKA HAD PULLED A LOT OF CAT-TAILS OUT OF THE POND. HE SURE DID - - - THERE WERE
DRIED-OUT CAT-TAILS ALL OVER THE BERM. GOOD JOB, BOBBY I! THE POND LOOKED NICE AN'
CLEAN. I MENTIONED ALL THIS STUFF ABOUT THE BUILDING OF THE SHOOTING SHELTER , AND
THE PULLING OF CAT -TAILS FOR TWO REASONS - _. REASON ONE - - I THINK THAT ANYONE WHO
TAKES IT UPON THEMSELVES TO DO SOMETHING THAT WILL BENEFIT THE CLUB SHOULD BE
RECOGNIZED , AND BE GIVEN PROPER CREDIT FOR THEIR EFFORTS . REASON TWO - - TELLING
YOU ABOUT ALL THAT STUFF GOT ME THAT MUCH CLOSER TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS RAG . I
KNOW THAT MIGHT SOUND SELFISH, BUT WHAT THE HELL - - A MAN 'S GOTTA DO WHAT A MAN 'S
GOTTA DO - - - IT'S THE AMERI CAN WAY , TROOPS !! GRIN AN' BEAR IT i!
ONCE AGAIN , THE NEVER-ENDING STRUGGLE TO FILL THE OMINOUS " WHITE SHEET "
CONTINUES. THE CONSTANT BATTLE BETWEEN ME AN' THE RAG RAGES ON. EACH MONTH MY
BULLSHIT ABILITY , ( AND YOUR SANITY) ARE PUT TO THE TEST. HOW MUCH LONGER CAN WE
GO ON LIKE THIS ?? AS LONG AS WE DAMN WELL HAVE TO - - THA T'S HOW LONG !! BUT WAIT !!
IT SEEMS THAT WE'VE PREVAILED ONCE AGAIN - - WE ARE AT THE BOTTOM , TROOPS !! WE
WON !!' HOORAY FOR THE GOOD GUYS !' I TOLD YOU THINGS WOULD WORK OUT, DIDN'T I???
I DID ,TOO 1 LOOK UP ON TOP OF THIS SHEET. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME - - SECOND
PARAGRAPH - _. SEE ??? I TOLD YA' SO
STAY HEAL THY , TROOPS - - - - - SEE YA THURSDAY - - - IS THAT A YES ????

HI TROOPS
TIME FOR ANOTHER MEETING - - I KNOW - - THIS RAG IS EARLY - THERE 'S A REASON FOR THAT
_ THIS MONTH'S MEETING WILL BE 1\ WEEK EARLIER , BECAUSE OF DEER SEASON . WE DON'T
WANT YOU TO MISS OUT ON YOUR HUNT ING . AIN'T WE THOUGHTFUL ??? BY THE WA Y - - WE
HAD NINETEEN MEMBERS PRESENT AT THE OCTOBER MEETING .THERE SHOULD BE EVEN
MORE AT THIS MONTH'S MEETING . IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO ATTEND , BECAUSE
THERE WILL BE A LOT OF INFORMATION I={EVEALED CONCERNING THE PURCHASE OF SIXTY
TWO ACRES OF LAND WHICH IS RIGHT NEXT TO OUR PRESENT ACERAGE . THIS PARCEL OF LAND
GOES UP TO WEAVER ROAD, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A SMALL PLOT WHERE THAT TRAILOR
SETS NEXT TO OUR EXISTING LAND . I'M TOLD THAT WE GOT A REAL GOOD BUY ON THIS ADDED
LAND FROM MRS. STRONG. I HAD SOME DETAILS TO PASS ON TO YOU, BUT IV'E ALSO HEARD
THAT SOME CHANGES WERE MADE FROM THE ORIGINAL DEAL , SO I WON 'T GO INTO ANY MORE
DETAILS RIGHT NOW . I'M SURE A FULL REPORT WILL BE GIVEN AT THE MEETING , SO DO
YOURSELVES A FAVOR , AND ATTEND THE MEETING , AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELVES EXACTLY
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN YOUR CLUB . THIS LATEST ADDITION TO OUR LAND HOLDINGS WILL
BRING OUR TOTAL ACERAGE TO A HUNDRED SIXTY-SOME ACRES OF LAND OWNED BY THE
BUFFALO ROD AND GUN CLLlB . I DON'T K(\lOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I AM BEGINNING TO FEEL LIKE A
TEXAS LAND BARRON.------- ON TO OTHER THINGS - - -
THE ELECTION RESULTS FROM LAST MONTH 'S MEETING ARE AS FOLLOWS:THE BOARD STAYS
AS IT WAS,EXCEPT KEN HEIST WILL BE THE NEW SERGEANT AT ARMS, AND JACK GREEN WILL
BE THE NEW VICE PRESIDENT. CONGRATULATIONS TO KEN, JACK , AND "THEM OTHER GUYS ."
STARTING WITH THE JANUARY MEETING , WE HAVE A NEW MEETING SITE , WHICH IS
POTRABELLAS, ON TRANSIT ROAD . ,T USED TO BE THE BEAU GESTE RESTAURANT. IT'S NEAR
THE DEPEW HIGH SCHOOL, ACROSS TRANSIT RD. BY THE WAY - - BEFORE I FORGET - - THERE IS
NO MEETING IN DECEMBER, ONCE AGA IN DUE TO DEER HUNTING SEASON , SO KEEP THAT IN
MIND.
KEN MOSER HAS LINED UP ALEX GIZOW SKI TO CUT THE RIFLE RANGE AND POND AREA THREE
OR FOUR TIMES A YEAR, AT SCHEDULED TIMES , AND IN CASE OF A SPECIAL EVENT, FOR A
TOTAL OF SIX CUTS A YEAR . ALEX WILL BE PAID $350.00 A YEAR FOR THIS SERVICE. THIS
ARRANGEMENT WAS MADE AS AN ALTEI~NATIVE TO THE CLUB BUYING A TRACTOR THIS MAKES
SENSE, SINCE WE WON 'T HAVE TO WORR Y ABOUT WHERE TO KEEP A TRACTOR , OR HAVE THE
CONCERNS OF MAINTENANCE AND REPAiRS. I DON'T KNOW IFANY INSURANCE PROBLEMS
WOULD ARISE FROM HAVING A TR/I.CTOR, BUT AT LEAST THIS WAY , THAT PROBLEM WOULD BE
ELEMINATED ALTOGETHER ,SO I GL:ESS THIS ARRAN GEMENT MAKES SENSE. WHATEVER ELSE
HAPPENS, BE ASSURED THAT THE POND P.REA AND THE RIFLE RANGE WILL BE SHAPING UP,
AND LOOKING BETTER AND BETTER RIGHT ALONG THE SHOOTING SHELTER IS ALMO ST
COMPLETED - - A FEW MORE THING':; TO BE DONE YET, BUT LOOKING GOOD JUST THE SAME.
I'M SURE THE REMAINING FEW THINGS LEFT TO BE DONE ON THE SHELTER WILL BE TAKEN
CARE OF BEFORE NEXT SUMMER - - IF NOT BEFORE, THEN BY THE SPRING WORKPARTY. I HAVE
FAITH .
ONCE AGAIN WE NEAR THE ELUSI\/E BOTTOM OF THIS GLARING WHITE SHEET OF PAPER.
THANKFULLY WE GOT HERE THIS MONTH W ITHOUT HAVING TO RANT AND RAVE TOO MUCH .
LUCKILLY, I HAD A FEW INTERESTING THII\lGS FOR YOU THIS MONTH . LETS HOPE IT'S THE SAME
NEXT T IME. TIME W ILL TELL , HUH??
THAT'S IT FOR NOW , TROOPS - - STAY HEALTH Y, AND HOPEFULLY WE 'LL SEE YA' THURSDAY.
STAY LOOSE!II
