The Team that lined out was Conor O'Sullivan, Joe Lynch, Joseph Lynch, Robert Sweetnam, Cormac Wall, Aidan Walsh, Anthony McCarthy, Eoin Fallon, Tomas O'Brien, Tim Lehane, Colm O'Connell, Chris Harrington, David Lynch, Derek Canty, Donnacha O'Driscoll. The nest game is at home to Kilmeedy (who are also from Limerick) on Sunday next. Vol 1 Issue 20 www.valleyrovers.com Page 3 Fanaithe na Claise (Valley Rovers) Fixtures Under 14 Hurling vs Killeagh Ita's in Killeagh on Saturday 18th 4pm Under 16 Football vs Nemo Rangers in Innishannon on 28th Tuesday 7.30pm Under 15 Hurling vs Na Piarsaigh in Brinny on Monday 27th 7pm John Kerins Cup Sat June 11th John Kerins Cup held at Pairc Ui Rinn.. Last Saturday Valley Rovers U11 footballers competed with great success, in the John Kerins Memorial Cup in Pairc Ui Rinn. This was marvellous experience for our team, with pipe bands, parades, national anthems, a few tears and great enjoyment making up the day. Our first game at 10:30am was a quarter final meeting with Na Piarsaigh, after a good game Valleys were victorious on a score line of 1 – 7 to 0 – 1. Our next game was a semi-final meeting with Eire Og, after a very good performance, this resulted in a comfortable victory for the Valleys. At 4pm Valley Rovers were pitted against Nemo Rangers in the final. After a very hard fought game Valleys were eventually defeated on a score line of Valley Rovers 2 – 5 to Nemo Rangers 4 – 4.This was a tremendous performance by every one of the 19 Valley Rovers players on duty on the day. The standard of football produced was to a very high standard and the boys are a credit to the club and their parents. This was a very enjoyable day and a great experience for the boys, but also a long day and I would like to thank the lad’s parents for their support and patience on the day. Also thanks to Garda Mick Lyons, Mick Lyons, Niall O Leary, Jim Wall and Chairperson Claire O’ Shea for their help and support on the day. I would also like to compliment Aidan O Connor and his colleagues in An Garda Siochana for a superbly organised and enjoyable day.
