, a small but, hopefully, interesting company
passionate about design, originality and quality. We are family-run and dedicated to being a bit
different, to being colourful and creative. We don’t like to follow the flock so our Design Studio is full of
the quirkiest stuff and lovely, sidewards thinking people and nice VERY ORGANISED production people.
We’re based in 16 acres of woodland between the two Sugarloaf mountains, a nice place to dream.
Avoca began in 1723, as a handweaving mill, making us Ireland’s oldest business.
We still weave on the original site but today we offer a plethora of ideas from scent and socks to
ceramics and candles, from slippers and spool scarves to rain macs and wellies... and of course our
original blankets and scarves.
We have 10 different and beautiful shops, 10 much garlanded restaurants and some 600 wonderful
staff on the team. (Last year our Rathcoole store was voted one of the 100 best shops in the world by
an international jury, along with such others as Bloomingdales - which is quite something for us.)
We wholesale our Designer Fashion Collection, Avoca Anthology, to dozens of countries worldwide but
this is just our second Nest brochure, we hope you like what we do!
