Summer is filled with fun and friendships because all Y camps share one thing; they’re about discovery. With
over 50 years of experience in providing a safe, thriving environment for young people, YMCA Camp Alexander
is a great place to make lasting memories. Whether campers like sports, creative arts or the outdoors, YMCA
summer camps are an adventure for all.
WEEK 1 June 6-10 WORLD OF MYSTERIES & WIZARDS
Day–Trip to Wizard Quest & Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Wisconsin Dells
WEEK 7 July 18-22 WATER OLYMPICS
Day–Trip to Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells
This is sure to be a crazy fun filled mysterious week with a super
fun trip to Wizard Quest and Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Enjoy the
mysteries and wonders from around the world, use clues to solve
riddles and find wizards. Challenge the staff to a game of Quidditch.
AGE 6-15
Come to camp and enjoy beautiful Nepco Lake. Take the canoe and
kayak team challenge. Participate in the “All Camp” Mini Water
Olympics. Spend a fun filled day at Chula Vista! AGE 6-15
WEEK 2 June 13-17 ANIMAL WEEK
Day–Trip to WI Big Cat Rescue & Educational Center in Rock Springs
Lions, tigers and leopards, oh my! This week is for the animal lover.
Track animals by their paw prints, learn about ducks, bats, deer and
other creatures at YMCA Camp Alexander. Visit WI Big Cat Rescue
and learn the stories of their 28 big cats. We will also be doing a
service project for the Rescue. AGE 6-15
WEEK 3 June 20-24 CAMPER SAMPLER
Find out all that YMCA Camp Alexander has to offer. Whether you
are canoeing, kayaking, swimming, zipping down camp’s new Zipline,
making crafts or experimenting with science and nature, this is a
great way to explore camp! AGE 6-15
WEEK 4 June 27– July 1 OUTDOOR EXPLORER
Day–Trip to Devil’s Lake State Park in Baraboo
Explore the outdoors at YMCA Camp Alexander. Campers will learn to
make trail signs, outdoor survival skills, take a hike and put it all to the
test at Devil’s Lake State Park. Campers will be divided by fitness and
skill level and then taken on one of two hikes at the park. AGE 6-15
WEEK 5 July 5–8 MINI CAMPER SAMPLER
Find out all that YMCA Camp Alexander has to offer. Whether you
are canoeing, kayaking, swimming, zipping down camp’s new Zipline,
making crafts or experimenting with science and nature, this is a
great way to explore camp! AGE 6-15
WEEK 6 July 11–15 ADVENTURES IN BOATING!
2 Day–Trips to the Dells and one overnight at camp
This session is all about water, boating and our inner awesomeness!
Campers will enjoy two different trips to the Dells this week. One day
on a Jet Boat Tour and another day taking a Duck Tour on land and in
the water. On Thursday, bring your sleeping bag to spend the night!
Campers will also participate in boating adventures by canoe/kayak
along with all the other great activities that camp offers. AGE 8-17
WEEK 8 July 24-29 RESIDENT/OVERNIGHT CAMP
Day–Trip to Noah’s Ark in Wisconsin Dells
Resident Camp focuses more on relationship building, bonding with
friends and team building. Campers are divided into groups that
allow for age and gender appropriate activities and experiences.

WEEK 9 Aug 1-5 SPORTS WEEK
Sports Week is the perfect week to come to camp if you love the
outdoors and sports of all kinds. Campers will play in the GaGa Pit,
challenge the staff in a game of volleyball, canoe/kayak and play a
game of Quidditch (Harry Potter Game). AGE 6-15
WEEK 10 Aug 8-12 ART ATTACK
Get ready to explore your inner creativity! You will participate daily
in creative arts such as; crafts, bead making, painting, creative
writing, drama and more. Campers will also take part in other fun
camp activities. AGE 6-15
WEEK 11 Aug 15-19 PIRATES AND PARROTS
Seek the treasure and ye shall find the lost secrets of YMCA Camp
Alexander. Solve and follow clues whilst learning new pirate skills.
Talk like a pirate all week, construct an eye patch and build a sword
for a great battle that might occur on the great hill of sand we call;
Sand Hill. AGE 6-15
WEEK 12 Aug 22-26 WATER WEEK
Day–Trip to Mount Olympus in Wisconsin Dells
Come to camp and enjoy beautiful Nepco Lake. Swim, build sand
castles, canoe and take a run down our camp slip n’ slide. Participate
in the “All Camp” Mini Water Olympics. During this week, spend a fun
filled day at Mount Olympus! AGE 6-15

Camp is nestled in on a private peninsula on Nepco Lake. Among the 33 acres of beautiful forestry,
the camp also includes 2 lodges, 5 cabins, a swim area, ropes course and zip line.

We bring families together to have fun! This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy camp fun with the whole family. Meet
the counselors, take a tour, visit the Trading Post and participate in other fun camp activities. Come discover camp!
Dinner is provided for campers on Family Fun Nights. Families welcome at camp, after dinner, from 6:00-7:30pm.

TEEN LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Teens who have an interest in learning leadership skills and using those
skills with younger campers during the week are encouraged to be a Junior
Counselor (JC) at camp. JC’s have a brief training and orientation to be able
to assist counselors with younger campers. JC’s will be given age-appropriate
challenges that will build their skills, confidence and capacity for working with
people of all ages. This program can be applied towards community service
hours for high school graduation.
• Age 15-17
• Must have at least 2yrs camper experience
• Commit to at least 2 - Day Camp weeks
• Have the desire to work hard & play hard in the outdoors

$75/member or $150/non-member
Includes onsite training & hands-on experience, building leadership skills.
Must be pre-interviewed and accepted into the program by the Camp
Director. (Not everyone will be accepted into the program).
