EVENING EVENTS
From intimate dinners for 20 guests to company-wide events for more
than 2,000, the Tennessee Aquarium is the perfect venue for your next
event! With three unique buildings and a state-of-the-art boat to choose
from, the Tennessee Aquarium can accommodate a wide variety of events.
The Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX® Theater are available for evening
events seven days a week from 7-10:30 PM. Extended hours are available
at an additional cost. Aquarium events include complete exhibit access
and rental of the IMAX Theater and Great Hall includes a private
screening of an IMAX film. For events with more than 300 guests,
please contact Shelby Wade for special pricing information.
RIVER JOURNEY _______________________________

The River Journey building offers multiple reception spaces to celebrate
a special occasion or entertain clients. Enjoy a dinner surrounded by
seahorses or in a gallery alongside fish from all over the world. Finish
with desserts or host a dance party for more than 300 in the main lobby.
With food and drink in hand, your guests will appreciate our leadership
in freshwater conservation as they get up close to alligators, turtles, otters
and thousands of freshwater fish. Accommodates up to 300 for a seated
dinner or more than 500 reception-style.
• $2,000 Rental Fee for up to 100 guests
• Additional guests $18 each
• Includes use of outdoor pavilion and auditorium with seating for 190
OCEAN JOURNEY ______________________________
The Ocean Journey building features spectacular views of the Tennessee
River. With food and drink in hand, your guests will enjoy penguins,
sharks, jellyfish, stingrays, a butterfly garden and much more.
Accommodates up to 50 for a seated dinner or 200 reception-style.
• $1,750 Rental Fee for up to 100 guests
• Additional guests $14 each

ENTIRE AQUARIUM RENTAL ______________________
Why choose one building when your guests can enjoy access to the
entire experience? River and Ocean Journey provide the perfect venue
for a lavish reception. Enjoy dinner under the outdoor pavilion along
the banks of the Tennessee River followed by desserts and touring inside
the Aquarium. Or host stations with food and drink throughout the
Aquarium for guests to enjoy as they tour. The outdoor pavilion can
accommodate more than 600 seated guests. Entire Aquarium rental
can accommodate more than 3,000 with reception-style seating.

• Includes use of outdoor pavilion and auditorium with seating for 190

The two-story arches in the IMAX Great Hall set the stage for an elegant
wedding reception or corporate dinner. With a six-story screen and A/V
capabilities, the IMAX 3D Theater offers a premiere film experience and
a one-of-a-kind venue for a business presentation or keynote address.
The IMAX Great Hall can accommodate up to 250 for a seated dinner or
400 reception-style. The IMAX 3D Theater has a seating capacity of 384.
• $1,500 rental fee for up to 100 guests
• Additional guests $8 each
• Rental fee includes private IMAX film screening
IMAX®® Greaat Hall
RIVER GORGE EXPLORER PRIVATE CHARTERS __

Host a truly unique event aboard the River Gorge Explorer while
cruising down the Tennessee River. This 70-passenger climatecontrolled catamaran is the perfect place to enjoy breathtaking views
of the Chattanooga Riverfront from one of two observation decks.
Charters are available for morning, afternoon and evening cruises
and bar/catering options are available on board.
• $2,000 rental fee for a 2-hour private charter for up to 65 guests
• Extended cruise time is available at an additional cost
• Please note that cruise destination is dependent on boat traffic
and weather conditions
TABLES, CHAIRS & LINENS ___________________
The Tennessee Aquarium will take care of your table, chair and
linen needs at an additional cost. Because each event is different,
a customized quote will be provided to you based on your
estimated number of attendees and seating style preference (full
seating, reception style with cocktail tables, etc.). Pricing will include
setup, takedown and laundering. Linens are standard poly linens
that are available in more than a dozen color choices. Specialty
overlays, runners and napkins are also available at an additional cost.

extraordinary? We offer the following rental enhancements.
• Centerpieces—Starting at $15 each Add to the ambience
of your event with natural or themed centerpiece options.
• Scavenger Hunts—Starting at $150 Add a team-building
element to your event with a customized scavenger hunt.
Can include prizes for winners.
• Animal Encounters—$300 Animal experts will introduce
your guests to a variety of animals for an up-close encounter.
• Dive Shows—$500 Give your guests a chance to interact
with Aquarium SCUBA divers. Dive show options available
in both River and Ocean Journey.
