microbrake
8000/8100/806/813
Brake testers that can be extended,
for practical service from 6 to 18 tonnes
test load.
The microbrake 8100 with
parallel PC visualisation
(in operation at Transportcompany Kirchweihtal,
Kaufbeuren, Germany).
Based on
micro-processor
technology for a
fully automatic test
procedure.
Easy operation and data storage with
infrared remote control.
The fully automatic test run is carried out by
pressing three remote-control buttons only. For
truck-and-trailer matching, only one additional
button is required. Data storage is simple too,
using the symbol keys.
Rated for tough, continuous operation:
the roller assemblies.
The complete roller assemblies are hot-dip
galvanized and the test rollers covered with a
synthetic coating containing quartz sand, both
features aimed at maintaining their value for a
long time. The large-diameter (280 mm) rollers and
a raised rear support roller ensure braking and
weighing in accordance with actual road conditions, even on a three-axle vehicle. The weigher –
prepared as standard for later installation – needs
no special foundation frame, which helps to cut
costs. And the weigher cells themselves are
resiliently mounted on the roller frame as a
compact, weather-resistant unit.
No mistakes: clear test-result displays.
The microbrake’s analog and LCD displays supply
all the important information while the test is in
progress. Braking-force deviations are perfectly
displayed by two concentric-shaft dial needles, and
the 100-mm high LCD displays precise percentage
values, for example deceleration, or cut-in
pressures Pm/Px (see large picture). In this way ALB
(load-sensing brake pressure limiter) functions can
be checked.

inspection centre
in Munich/Planegg,
Germany.
Extension of tester for
PC visualisation with
safety test software.
Suitable for networking.
Rapid comparative test and additional
diagnostic graphics by PC visualisation.
PC visualisation has numerous benefits and can be
carried out on existing PC units:
• Database for customers’ vehicle data and test
results
• Rapid comparison with previous test results
• Additional measured-value presentations to
round off the test procedure
• Static check and adjustment of automatic
pressure control function before tester
(air-pressure programme)
• All measured values can be called up again and
individual axle values can be corrected without
renewed testing of the entire vehicle
• Connection to ASA network for customer and
vehicle data transfer.

the individual vehicle
or for truck-and-trailer
matching.
Results for each axle at
a glance. They are either
shown during the test
procedure or can be
called up again individually after the complete
vehicle test.
Practical: the special
air-pressure programme
for stationary checking
and setting of automatic
load-sensing regulators
prior to the test procedure and away from the
tester.
Extension of tester
with a mobile,
portable multi-test
system.
With its touch screen
colour monitor, the
operating/display unit
transmits all data by
radio link to the driver’s
cab.
Operation, measured-value display, data
processing: the PC at the driver’s seat.
This portable operating/display unit puts a mobile,
highly efficient PC at the disposal of Beissbarth
customers. Operation and display of measured
values are via a 12.1“ touch screen colour monitor
and the tester is operated via a radio-controlled
LAN with a range of 50 metres. This equipment
optimises the complete test procedure from the
driver’s seat. Additional display units are not
needed and test results are always immediately
visible. The unit can be used for additional PC
programmes such as Knorr braking diagnosis (MTS).
Highly efficient tester
operation from the
driver’s seat with the
operating/display unit.
Mobile base station
accepts the operating/
display unit and with
the printer, charger and
CD ROM/computer disk
drive creates a complete
mobile work station for
brake testing.
Further advantages of the
operating/display unit:
• Permanent access to customer-vehicle database
• System can also be used as a laptop in tough
workshop conditions (magnesium housing,
unaffected by dirt)
• System test with automatic statistical records,
issue of test log and data management
• Compatible with all PC standard connections
• Workshop networking.
Mobility –
for the tester and
the display units.
The mobile
analog display
displays
measured
values to the
operator in the
driver’s cab.
Measured values visible in driver’s cab as
analog or colour monitor display.
To satisfy almost any operating requirement, for
instance installation of roller assemblies in the
open air, Beissbarth can supply every tester version
with mobile display units. The advantage for the
customer: the display unit can be located wherever
it’s most convenient and simply rolled away after
completing the test. This is an advantage in winter
or if no structural alterations are possible in rented
buildings.
The semi-mobile version of
the microbrake 8000. The
alternative for installation
without outdoor or indoor
construction work.
Mobility via screen
display:
The mobile cabinet
also contains the
printer and components for automatic
PC odometer distance
measurement, which
can be checked from
the driver’s seat.
Saving money if the conventional tester
can’t be used: the floor-surface version.
For workshops where testers can’t be installed
flush with the floor, an above-surface version is
now available from Beissbarth. Technical equipment options and performance are similar to the
floor-level models, but the roller sets are of
reduced height for easier ramp access. Contact us
for further advice on the optimum tester for your
workshop.
Extension into a
test line with
additional test
options.
Rapid toe angle testing for profitable
extra business.
When driving over the measuring plate of the mss
8300 toe tester, each plate deflection is registered
electronically and displayed on the indicator scale
in mm/m. This gives you rapid information on the
vehicle’s directional stability (total toe, front/rear
axles) and a useful guide as to whether full vehicle
wheel alignment is needed.
Fully automatic odometer measurement with radio control
of the tester from the driver’s seat.
Joint play tester to localize suspension
pivot play due to wear.
The gst 8500 joint play tester should be a standard
item in any brake service workshop. It diagnoses
and localises damage and wear at kingpins,
bushings, joints, spring eyebolts, track rod ends,
steering components etc. Movements of the two
testing plates – each of which can move in eight
directions – are controlled by a hydraulic unit
operated by remote control cable when a button is
pressed or in the automatic mode.
Odometer / tachograph testing.
This handy measuring system permits
testing of all odometers and tachographs
in accordance with § 57b of amended EC
(European Community) regulation No.
2135/98 on road-traffic monitoring units
without comparative road measurements.
The individual test stages are activated by
infrared remote control of the tester and
menu control via the monitor. The actual
measured-value is recorded directly from
the driver’s seat via a three-button radio
control unit. Measured distance, constant
or wheel circumference values are
displayed on the monitor and simultaneously memorized in the system.
Odometer measuring units are calibrated
for speedometer types 1314/1318,
1319/1324 and TVI 2400.
Beissbarth also offers various special
software programmes, for instance for
initial speedometer testing, fault
detection or completion of test sheets.

Options and
accessories.
Pm/Px air-pressure sensors in
cable or radio-control versions.
The cable version is ideal for fully
automatic estimation including graphic
print-outs. The radio-controlled version is
even more efficient and convenient to
use. A basic Pm/Px set can be used away
from the control cabinet anywhere inside
the test building. Modular design means
that a larger number of Px air-pressure
sensors can be operated at any time.
Both versions permit a check on the
automatic pressure control (ALB) regulator setting via the tester LCD display
before print-out.
For radio control there are pneumatic
and hydraulic pressure sensors.

The Federal German vehicle inspection agencies
DEKRA and TÜV are certainly the toughest of all
proving grounds for brake testers. These inspection
centres carry out tests on motor vehicles almost
continuously. The microbrake testers’ technology
and materials are subject to very severe stresses
and loads. Day in, day out. You can therefore be
certain that the microbrake is perfectly suited for
your workshop in terms of technology and
cost-effectiveness.
