The backbone of any Fair is the vegetable and flower exhibit. Take a
step back in time and enjoy the local harvest of abundant produce,
classical cut blooms and breathtaking florist display. Visit with the
Horticulture societies to have your questions answered and pick up
some planting tips from professionals on the Horticulture stage in the
Horticulture, Craft & Culinary Pavilion.

TEXTILE, CRAFT & CULINARY
Find the state’s best Textile, Craft and Culinary masterpieces in
the Horticulture, Craft & Culinary Pavilion. Intricate quilts, time
honored textiles and cutting edge culinary masterpieces await, and
they are no longer contained in just the display cases. Plus, more
than 400 photos are everywhere from the impressive photo wall to the
fragrantly stunning florist displays.
YOUNG PEOPLE’S ART EXHIBIT

The best place to view a myriad of youth artwork, grades 6 - 12, is the
Young People’s Art Exhibit in the Exposition Center Lobby. The exhibit
is teeming with vibrant paintings, crazy cool sculptures and distinctively
stunning jewelry. The kid’s art area is an art party your kids definitley
don’t want to miss!

Come join in the fun as Wisconsin’s finest youth programs provide
interactive activities for Fairgoers of all ages! See the amazing exhibits,
live demonstrations, and performances from some of Wisconsin’s
talented youth.
Persons entering the facility assume all risks incidental to the event. State
Fair reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person violating any
law, rule or policy. Patrons and bags are subject to search upon entry.
Certain items may not be brought onto the premises including without limitation: alcohol, contraband, weapons, illegal drugs and controlled substances.
The following items are also not permitted on the grounds: cans or glass
bottles, lawn chairs, skateboards, in-line skates, bicycles, kites and Frisbee
disks. Recording devices are prohibited in the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main
Stage. Pets are not permitted on site unless the pet is part of a Fair event
(e.g. Dog Fair). Working service animals are permitted. Persons are subject to
potentially having their image and/or likeness reproduced for promotional and/
or publicity purposes in Fair or media photography, video, broadcasts and/or
webcasts. A reminder, smoking is not allowed in indoor facilities.

Daily stroller, wheelchairs and/or electric scooter rentals are offered at
three locations: the U.S. Cellular Main Gate, South Grandstand Avenue
near the Exposition Center, and the State Fair Transit Center near Gate
4. Rental fees are: $10 Single Stroller; $15 Wagon, $15 Wheelchair or
Oversized Wheelchair; and $50 Electric Scooters/$35 half-day rental after 6pm. You must provide a valid major credit card for use as a deposit.
Visa, MasterCard, Discover and cash are acceptable forms of payment.
All rentals must be returned by 10:30pm Sunday - Thursday, 11:30pm
Fridays & Saturdays and 9:30pm on the final Sunday.

The Reconnection Centers are the place to go if you get separated and
need a place to revonnect, and are conveniently located in the Exposition
Center lobby and on North Grandstand Avenue and Fifth Street next to
First Aid. Any lost items or individuals that are located will be taken to the
Reconnection Centers during the Fair. Please check the Reconnection
Centers if you have a lost item or become separated from your party. We

Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located throughout the Park for the
convenience of Fairgoers in the Exposition Center, Wisconsin Products

August 11 - world’s largest cream puff
Check out our own “Puff Daddy” as he attempts to set a Guinness
World Record for the World’s Largest Cream Puff! It will all “rise to the
top” in Central Park on Thursday, August 11 during Golden Guernsey
Dairy Day. Watch Team Cream Puff as they assemble a cream puff for
the Guinness Book of World Records. The attempt for the record will
take place in Central Park at 2pm on Thursday, August 11.

Observe as Sarah “The Cheese Lady” attempts to set a Guinness
World Record by carving the Largest Cheese Sculpture. Stop by the
Farm and Family Building and see history in the making as over 1000
pounds of cheese takes shape. Stop by and see what Sarah
creates for a sculpture to celebrate the 160th Wisconsin State Fair!
august 12 - 14 - CHAMPIONS CHALLENGEs presented by the
Wisconsin State Horse Council Equine Foundation
If you want to see the magnificence and grace of horses and their
riders exhibiting talent and skill, don’t miss the Champions Challenge
events in the Coliseum! The popular Hunter/Jumper event takes place
on Friday, August 12 at 4pm, the highly anticipated Gymkhana speed
events will occur on Saturday, August 13 at 7pm, and the Trail event
will be held on Sunday, August 14 at 4pm.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 9 - KOHL’S FAMILY VALUE DAY
NEW for 2011! ALL Fairgoers will be eligible for discounted Fair
admission on Tuesday, August 9 from 8am - 6pm through a partnership
with Kohl’s Cares. Adults will receive admission for the youth price of $5
(a $4 savings), and youth 11 and under will receive FREE admission.
For every youth admitted FREE, Kohl’s Cares and the Wisconsin State
Fair will donate $1 to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin so kids there can
enjoy a Fair experience.

Don’t miss Welde’s Big Bear Show and Grizzly Falls where you’ll learn
what to do if you encounter a bear in the wild! Also, learn about bear
breeding habits and habitats, while observing these amazing creatures’
individual personalities. See the bears catch rings, walk on hind legs,
and have fun dancing with the Welde trainers. Plus, you may have the
opportunity to feed a Grizzly bear through the fence and cage! Three
shows daily at 12:30, 2:30, and 5:30pm in the Big Backyard. In
between shows, the Bears are on display with the waterfall exhibit. In
addition to swimming and playing in the pool, they have various toys
that encourage play. Trainers are on hand to answer your questions.

The glitz and glam of Vegas style weddings will be at the Fair...
for dogs! A singing Elvis, champagne bowls, formal attire, doggie-maids
and doggie-men will all be part of the wedding ceremony. Ceremonies
will take place in the Companion Animal Activity Area in the Poultry &
Rabbit Palace, Monday August 8 through Wednesday, August 10 at
Noon, 2 and 6pm and Thursday, August 11 at Noon and 2pm.
